I read here much that the Himalaya works fine with the SonyEricson HCB-30 carkit. Does it work with the standard Bt-Stack or does it need any update?

Hello,
I have the XDA2 and in the car the Parrot CK3000, this bluetooth handsfree works perfect with my nokia telephone, but not with the XDA2.
There is any solution or I have to buy another handsfree.
Thanks
wait for the parrot 3300 see: http://www.driveblue.com/(f0gkmn45tjydzkbegxdagvvj)/Default.aspx?root=ck3300

Mine works fine. ~it did not at first as I nocked out all the o2 software on the XDA but after a hard reset and removing all o2 software except for "Ultra Profiler" which allows you to turn on the BT handset it worked fine
Sam
The solution seems to be to activate the "profile" in the today´s menu.
But the spanish instruction manual (TSM500) do not say anything about this.
I have to test it,
Thanks all.
I was reading around about issue using BT headset with the Himalaya (W2003 not second edition!)
I read several people who installed the WidComm stack, but as far as I have understood, with this hack there are still problems with the headset profile (still I don't now which!).
Talking about the standard MS stack, I read people using Nokia BT headset complaining about it loosing connection and turning off after 10 min. Is this a nokia only issue?
It seems that Jabra hs are working well. Is there any known problem with the standard MS bt stack?
Thanx to anyone who will/could help me reorganize my mind...
Regards,
Francesco
I have a bluetake G2 headset. When I had 1.72 ROM and installed Pocket Bluetooth Tools it worked perfectly. Currently I'm playing with SE ROMs and have not yet used this headset with it.
Widcomm stack does not support headset/handsfree profile on our device. It can bond with headset, but you would not hear any sound.
I am still using the MS BT stack with rom 1.72.00.
NO Pocket Bluetooth Tools (I would like to know why mamaich uses these with a 1.72 rom . . .)
NO issues whatoever with both Headset (Headset Protocol) or GPS (Serial Port Protocol).
Just rocksteady . . .
Bluetooth Activesync not working after PBT
Activesync over bluetooth doesnt work anymore after loading Pocket blue tooth tools,( it was working perfectly well till loaded PBT) It doesnt even give me the option of syncing via BT ( the option one normally gets when one opens activesync on the device ( tools menu 1) Options 2) via IR 3 ) Via BT ) now all I find is options and activesync via IR.
Bluetooth HS810 Microphone not working
I am using a Motorola HS810 bluetooth headset with WM2000SE-Sin-Merged-v2.0 on an XDA II. When I complete pairing, 3 pop-ups all happen at once asking various profiles supported by the Headset - Serial, Headset & Handsfree. I answer yes to the hands-free. (It's only possible to see the other pop-ups due to the handy alt-tab applcation supplied with this ROM version!)
The earpiece works just fine, but the microphone does not. I need to speak into the mic on the XDA II to be heard.
...I have now reverted to 1.72.00WWE & all is fine. It seems to be a problem with WM2000SE....
Any ideas?
John

I've tried a few ROMs and haven't found one the supports the Bluetooth Handsfree Profile. I have a Nokia Carkit that only does Handsfree (no Headset) profile.
Does anybody know if or which one of those many ROMs flying around here support this Profile? Most threads here are only concerned with A2DP and hardly anybody talks about the Handsfree Profile. But I desperately need this.
Before someone mentions it: I have already tried the Jet BTHF Extension. It works well with my Jabra BT800, but not with my Nokia Carkit.
Thanks in advance,
Chris

Which Nokia carkit do you have ?
I have the same issue with a SONY MEX BT-5000
I have the same issue with a SONY MEX BT-5000, it needs Bluetooth OBEX sony tell me.
AKU 3.3 is supposed to support Bluetooth PAN, what ever that is. Lets hope its works when some one has cooked up a 3.3 for the Prophet.
I have the Nokia CARK CK-1W.
nobody has an idea?
Just thought I'd bump this one back up as I too have an old Nokia CK-1W car kit that I'd like to ba able to use.
I just tried AtekSoft webcamera plus 1.05 on my 2005 xda2 and it works great via Bluetooth.Just like a wireless webcam with good enough speed.Works on msn etc.I am using vista, and you must sync wireless to the ppc.It wasnt suppose to run on normal (2003) himalaya.
My problem is my bluetooth does not support it. T-T
where is it available?

for the record,my wm2005 himalaya syncs great with vista from bluetooth with windows and broadcomm stack (on the pc) and with either works as webcam.
I received my shiny new S710 today (replacing my imate sp5) i am having terrible problems with bluetooth and my car kit (Parrot Ck3100 with latest sortware) The phone connects and syncs ok but disconnects after a few mins and refuses to connect again.
I have an old motorola h605 headset that shows similar problems of not connecting or dropping the connection.
The Ck3100 kit has worked faultlessly with my imate sp5 for the last year.
Has anyone else had any problems with headsets or car kits?!
I have done a hard reset on the S710 and have nothing installed, and also disconnected the power to the CK3100 for 1/2 an hour before attempting to re setup the pairing

Nokia CK7W
On a similar note, while my Vodafone V1415 works with my Nokia CK7W, I cannot end a call by pressing the button. Last number redial (two presses) and Hold or something like it (press and hold) are OK. To be fair, the CK7W is a little dated, but has proven to be fine with both Blue Angel and Hermes.
On the plus side the audio is good, without any echo for the remote caller.
Nokia CK-7W and S710
As with the Qtek 9100, the S710 seems not to operate soomthly with the NOKIA carkit CK-7w. I have to turn volume up to 100% and the sound from the speaker is still rather quite. The person i am calling is complaining that the line is not perfect. So for me it is back to the standard corded earpiece.
So any tips using the CK-7W and vox succesfully together are welcome!
@mcroonen
It's strange that I don't have the same experience as you. What version is your software? Compare with mine in my signature. I'm afraid I can't offer any suggestions, it seems to be pot luck! Maybe we find some variations in the radio stacks that will sort this out.
further to this i managed to borrow a e650 (vox) from work and it worked 100% with my car kit and tomtom and laptop!
I spoke to htc who said they had tested with the parrot ck3100 and said it worked 100%, as my phone was struggling to be detected by several devices and also struggling to detect other things that they recomended getting it replaced.
Spoke to handtech who said they would replace asap

I had problems whith the sound quality and people not hearing me well.
For me it helped to delete the registry settings for the nokia ck-7w
It's under software/htc not sure if it was in LM or CU. I think LM.
Good luck
Had the same problem. Qtek8310 was working fine, S710 not. After a reset of the Parrot also the S710 is working fine.

Unfortenately deleting the settings introduces echo and noise (voice sounds like robot). I think S710 and Nokis Ck-7w are not made for eachother.
I will try using the Parrot 3100 as on alternative BT solution..
Parrot CK3300 GPS CAR KIT
I have the Parrot CK3300 GPS CAR KIT and no problems at all with my S710, works a dream
Parrot
Hi,
You should visit http://www.parrot.com/uk/support/downloads
and get the latest software for your Parrot. You will need a bluetooth enabled laptop or to get your bluetooth enabled PC near your car!
Flash your parrot, then connect choosing a windows CE device. It will fully sync your phonebook too.
I use the Orange E650 and connect to my Holux GPS receiver and Parrot 3100 at the same time with no problems at all.
cheers
