Big Storage - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 Software Upgrading

I have tried to get my head round doing big storage, seems I'm too dumb to understand it. Does anyone into phone mods do it, obviously for a small fee ?

I can do it for you, give me the details and you can email me at [email protected] for further info, thanks.

I was thinking of more in this country, but thanks.

Anyone here from CHINA ???

I have a weird problem... I ordered the e-cig (China) and after extensive talks with local Customs office, National Medications Department and TNT, I could not get my shipment from them. The problem is, in Estonia the E-pipe is regarded as "medical device" and the cartridges and liquid as "medicine". So without proper license I cannot import them. There is also a way around this - if the package contains ONLY the E-pipe without ANY cartridges and is sent by private person (not company) I can import them because it is not considered as "ordering from internet". TNT can change the address on the package if they want but not the originating country. That's the problem actually... I was wondering if someone could help me with that?
Currently the package is at TNT's warehouse and waiting my instructions, for which I have two options now - send back or have it destroyed. Of course, sending back costs additional money, around 30$. The package contains 45$ e-pipe, some pipe accessories and e-liquid, total worth around 65$.
I am looking for someone from China willing to help - provide his/her address, have the package sent to there, take the "medicine" parts out of the package and send it back via regular post (it's cheaper). If You can make use of the liquid and cartridges, You might give me a discount on the postal charges, if not, I am willing to pay the costs via Paypal. I calculated 30$ for TNT and 10$ for regular post back to here.
There are two reasons I want to do this. One is for principle - to **** the Customs (government) for ****ing me. The other is that I don't like the idea of destroying the device - on one hand, corrupted as they are, they are probably taking it to themselves anyway. On the other hand, if not, it's not very environmentally sound thing to do.
Anyway, hope there are someone decent folk from China here willing to help.

URGENT: How do I remove custom Rom on Infuse 4G?

Hi all,
Long story short, I was tricked today to buy an infuse 4G telling me that everything was working perfectly. Had it shipped, and of course, it doesn't read any SIM card. I'm brand new to android, so I have no idea what's going on.
I tried calling AT&T customer support and of course they couldn't help. I finally found out that the build version is Infused v2.1.0 and the firmware is 2.3.3
I just read that Infused v.2.1.0 is a custom rom, so I'm wondering how I can go back to the stock version and see if I can get a SIM card to be read in this phone.
PLEASE if anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it!!!

Thanks. But I think I may have found an even worse problem.
Can someone take a look in the SIM tray and tell me how many pins there are? My BlackBerry has 4, and from the looks of it, it looks like this infuse has 3, but 1 of the pins is missing.
I wish I could take a clear picture of it, but it's near impossible to see. Can anyone with an infuse confirm what theirs looks like?

They should be 6;(3 in front of another 3; Meaning: 3 slightly visible from the metal, and 3 under the metal cover that holds the SIM card on place)
If you bought it via ebay or for that matter anything with Paypal in the middle, you have 45 days from the purchase day to enter a dispute. If you pay cash to a guy you will never see... then your probably screwed... i have heard of "sim" adapters like this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-2-1-GSM...764414?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3a69e5b2fe
that could "probably" fix that.... or probably not since the adapter also needs the full working pins.... anyways... i recommend (if payed via paypal) to enter a dispute provide full information and make sure the add didnt mentioned anything about " NOT WORKING Sim tray" because if the advertisement of the phone just SLIGHTLY mentioned its your problem... but if it was advertised as WORKING then your complain will proceed.
I hope you can solve it man.
Good Luck
Thanks for the response. Met up locally and paid cash.
He left a picture of himself on the phone hahaha. Anything I can do with that? Selling shady material? I don't know what to do now! Cash is not king
Since you paid cash you don't have much in the way of recourse since you know about the guy, I assume.
You could pursue via small claims, check the local authorities, maybe this person is a known thief; but, I would let this be a lesson on verifying that something is fully functional before paying someone cash for anything. Sorry, I know it sucks. =-(
What I thought was, I'd become one of those deaf-mutes; or should I?
I've been hosed from a dude who sold me an atv that was a pile of shiz, so I know how you feel. Id contact him and see what he'll do for you, I'm sure he will tell you it was fine when he sold it, than id talk to the authorities, if all else fail than id have it repaired from samsung.

Caveat emptor at it's finest right here.
In your first post, you said you had it shipped. Then, in another post, you said you met up locally and paid cash. So which was it?
Either way, hopefully you didn't pay too terribly much for the phone, since you can generally find it brand new for under $100.
The only real chance you have at a remedy here is to call the seller back and hope he has a heart, or that this was just some misunderstanding.
In our credit driven economy, I always find it suspicious when people demand cash. I'm sure you learned your lesson, and hopefully it wasn't too costly.
Thanks for your contributions:
Called him/been texting with him this morning saying "I already spent the money" lol. Long story short, it is what it is. I've sold this guy my iPhone before and so I asked for my iPhone back instead. Of course, that's been sold as well. Well I have my iphone imei on file, so could very well just report it as stolen since this guy is unwilling to comply. Don't really have many options.
Sorry if this is off, because I dont know if u can install a rom if the phone is locked. But if the phone is locked it will not read a sim card. And depending on the sim card itself. It will not read any prr paid sim except tmobile and only att if it is not a gophone sim card

sending sk4g to cyanogen

UPDATE: haven't heard anything from cyanogen or other devs. if you are able to make contact and get a confirmation either way from any of the devs, please let me know (email / pm / in this thread), and we can move forward. until then, hold off on the donations.
so it looks like no progress is going to be made on this phone unless we send the cm devs a phone. even then, there's no guarantee that they'll work on porting cm to it, but i think it's worth a shot.
there's an sk4g on ebay, buy it now, for $160, couple days left. seller has a 100% rating. http://goo.gl/rsStz i'll buy the phone and send it to cm, assuming we raise the funds in time. we'll look for a phone when we get confirmation. at a minimum, the phone has to be in working condition.
i've never done something like this, and this whole thing might be against xda rules or something, but here's how i'm guessing it should work:
1. raise funds via paypal using my email address "spamziq" at gmail dot com. note that there's a way to do this without incurring fees: http://www.insulators.info/general/paypal.htm
2. buy phone
3. get phone, send to steve kondik (or another appropriate dev); would obviously need an address
4. post confirmation here
5. wait
if not enough funds are raised before the auction is over, or some other snafu occurs, each contributor is refunded his money.
if cm devs return it, i sell it and dispense the money to contributors according to their original percentage of contribution?
what do y'all think?
I'm not sure it would help. Steve has been hired by Samsung (http://www.theverge.com/2011/08/15/samsung-hires-cyanogenmod-founder-steve-kondik/ ) so I'm guessing that he can easily have access to the device if he wants to work on it; you may want to check with him before organizing that.
Find a dev and confirm that they will work on it given a phone before starting anything. Don't raise the money to find that noone will work on it.
I should have some money in less than 1.5 months, and I can help donate. It looks like you can get one on eBay for about $150 USD for Buy It Now. I will be willing to donate $75 to the cause, but how do we know if the person on the receiving end of the cash-flow for this is trustworthy?
(Should we start a thread for donations that are verified, or what?)
We can also use Chase's Person-to-Person Quickpay... if two or more people have a Chase account, of course.
There is a thread. On this forum for a bounty btw there is cm beta out on some thread on xda

hey all, i haven't been able to get any confirmation from steve about whether he'd work on this, so chill for a bit. i'm hoping others can get a yes/no from either him or other devs (i don't know of the others) before this goes forward. so far ncmacasl has donated a few bucks, which is pretty cool, but i'm refunding it. gonna update the OP.

Could this also mean that because he is working with/for Samsung, that he may have had to sign a non-disclosure agreement, and cannot participate in anything "Samsung related" outside of his normal "Samsung Duties"?
I have pondered on this...
Also, I keep seeing fully functional devices (cosmetic issues only, like scratches to the cover) all for 149-150 via Buy It Now. These would save the "investors" in the device $10 amongst them. Just saying.
Would this work, providing that the funds are not collected ahead of time:
I buy a SK4g, and when I get half my money back (from your donations), I will send it to them?
Does that sound good, as my lady and I both have the same phone?
Does the device have to be flawless to send to them, or just in working condition (cosmetic issues OK)?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Sid...0784571883?pt=Cell_Phones&hash=item2a1799a5eb THIS just has a bit of nail polish smeared on it and is guaranteed functional...
Edit: Oh, and I have a Friend who's daughter could also benefit from the more Open Android cook..
Yes, I got the refund. thanks Kevin (yes the guy is trustworthy!)

If you are sending e-mail and your e-mail addy contains "spam" then you are likely to get sent to a spam folder on the recipient's provider, or the e-mail is likely to get dropped all together. I know this because "spam" is in most of my e-mail addys too, even my main ones. (Even Chase had to change their filtering because of this stating that they couldn't send me e-mail, and I told them it is the only one I have, THEY need to fix their as it worked BEFORE their changes...)
Did you use the addy you listed to send them e-mail for info/communication?

i only contacted cyanogen by sending him a tweet @cyanogen. i'm not sure who the other devs are. that's why i'm hoping there are others here who might know who else to contact, and who can make the contact themselves. i think more inquiries is better, because not only could it help to ensure we get a response, but it'd also give a hint as to how much demand there is for the sk4g.
We need someone who specializes in kernels . If there was a kernel for gingerbread we would be alot closer to many goals.

There is one. The Galaxy S 4G has the EXACT same processor as the SK, and was recently upgraded to Gingerbread. So a kernel is available. The problem, according to Sduvick, is that the drivers are coded differently, namely the display. We could base a GB rom on the GS4G's code, but it would essentially take a complete ground-up rewrite of drivers.
Is it just the display driver? Wouldnt we need drivers to have cm7 on this phone?
There were a couple of others, for one the camera. You'd need to PM sduvick and ask him. He's the only one to date that I know of who has even attempted to compile the code from the SGS4G.
I should have some extra money soon...
Has anyone made contact with Cyanogen Devs to query them on if this would be worked on if one of these was sent to them?

Infomation Frp Bypass, Google Pixel 32gb 7.1.2 through remote service...

Hello,
I recently received a second hand Google Pixel. It was running selfish N2G470 Sailfish 7.1.2. Upon further inspection I realized it was also OEM from Google. Once I purchased a Type-C charger to see if the phone even worked, I quickly realized it had the FRP locking activated and no way into the phone.. After days of Dead End video's, Out Dated Guides, and pointless APK files, I continued searching for a solution. A few days later, while shopping on EBay, I ran across a remote FRP service that said they would remote in using Team Viewer and have it completed within 1 hour after making initial contact with me after the purchase. I was skeptal. But the money was protected through PayPal and it was only $10.00. Soon after, I am contacted, remotely assisted, and step by step guide on the pixel itself and 15 min later, through the FRP Lock. I should have taken better instructions when he was telling me over video chat but, he left the version of platform tools on my pc, as well as his custom apk files and image's (it updated to 8.0 after frp bybass) Anyone interested in the files he left behind on my computer that he download from his server let me know. He used fastboot and adb. Let me know. If you know what your doing, it might help. I can kinda help guide you through the steps on the phone, my girl took a few notes on paper as well. I wanted to get this info out now, but I will come back soon with an updated tutorial. :good:

Where does one receive a second hand Pixel? If it was a hand-me-down couldn't you just ask the user to log in and remove their account from the device? Even if you bought it from a stranger they could have given you their Google password and then immediately changed it after you removed the account yourself. And just for curiosity, how much does a second hand Pixel cost?
it would probably help some people, yes.
If you post them, perhaps try posting them to a few different file sharing places; ie MEGA, rapidshare, etc so they can be shared for a while without being taken down.
Thanks for helping the community.

Doesn't matter if you sold the phone. Anything under the table is implied as is. No amount of money is worth your own person security. You should never under any circumstance tell anyone any of your passwords ever for any reason whatsoever
Edit: the right thing to do of course would be to remove accounts before frp or to be on-site when they set up their phone but not everyone even knows about frp and even less of the general public will know how to actually remove accounts

Under the table? What exactly does that mean? Illegal? You either delete your emails and change your pwd or pay the price. Let's not get crazy here. It's just an email password for perhaps 2 minutes to make some money that is "under the table". If you can't stand the heat then get out of the kitchen.
Under any circumstances, ever, whatsoever? Come on.. call me paranoid. Figure out how to do it safely. I'm sure we have the mental capacity to do something like that. Or refund the money.. simple.

No I'm not saying illegal I'm saying any direct transaction from one person to another like anything not done through an actual retailer. And no you really shouldn't be giving out passwords at all for any reason. Having that information for 2 minutes can create a window for someone to figure out your typical password structure or cross reference a fair bit of information that could lead to access to a lot more than what was intended. Again I'm not saying that not properly wiping the device so someone else can use it is okay, but I am saying it is not the responsibility of the seller to give you any passwords or personally identifiable information. It is also the responsibility of the buyer to know and ask about potential frp situations or at least understand the implied "as is" condition when buying really anything directly off of someone else.
You make a good point. Although I still think the seller has the responsibility to sell the device so it can be used by the buyer. That seems to be implied by selling it. Almost like I'm selling you my car but.. well sorry dude .. you can't have the keys. Not my problem but yours since the car is in your driveway.
Well selling a car is kinda different and has actual legal restrictions to prevent that such as title transfers etc

You've been had, it seems they sold you a device that has been blacklisted due to non payment on their bill.
The only way to activate this phone is for the former owners bill to be paid, then they will remove the block.
Otherwise, sell it, but make it known to any buyers that it does not have a valid IMEI/blacklisted.
Don't cheat someone the way you were cheated, cut your losses and consider it a lesson learned, then be smarter the next time you buy a used device. Remember, when you find a deal that's too good to be true, it usually is.
If you buy from ebay, only buy devices that say they have a good/valid IMEI and only from sellers with a very high rating.
The safest option for buying used devices is to use Swappa.com.

Not sure if you got my earlier reply I just want to thank you for taking the time to answer my question.. Verizon totally left me in the dark basically. It's weird that Verizon won't let me pay a balance if there is one left won't lmk anything. Especially seems how I'm on a sister network and ultimately I'd be bringing them money in not even bring the phone in. Lol anyways I appreciate it again may try and sell it no worries won't do unto others what was done onto me feels kinda crappy.. ttyl

They won't discuss or handle anything specific about an account with anyone but the authorities or the owner of the account, for security and privacy reasons, they are bound by law on this.
On a side note, if you bought the device from eBay then eBay might reimburse your purchase because what you received was not what was listed, you didn't get what you paid for. It wasn't listed as invalid IMEI, it was posted and sold as if it was all legit when it wasn't. eBay might handle this for you, it's worth a shot, at least.
