View animated/cute sms ala Nokia Style - General Topics

Hi all, i wonder if anyone knew to do to this. I just upgraded to an O2 Mini from iPaq 6365. These PPC ain't viewing the animated/cute sms like Nokia did. I've been searching hi & low but still unable to find any software for this function.
Does anyone knew any software or emulator that can view (& best if can edit) like Nokia phone does? See my examples below if u can't digest what i mean. Any help or suggestions are welcomed. Cheers!!
example 1(view in Nokia phone)
This was how u
slept last
night....
Look...
()"-'-"() oink!
("( (oo) )") oink!
( . )
(O)----(O)
example 2(view in MINI/iPaq)
This was how uslept last
night....Look...
()"-'-"() oink!("( (oo) )") oink!
( . ) (O)----(O)

I found a software called JGui SMS that can view the cute sms properly. Too bad it's viewed in tree or dropdown folder format. msg viewed similarly to outlook 'preview' style. Unable to view msg individually. thus it looks very tiny in my o2 mini screen.
Further to that, the software causes my o2 mini to crawl. Scrolling up/down with scroll bar or up/down button will take tens of seconds before the next title would appear.
:?

WM2003 doesn't support "enter" in SMS
Actually, this is the root of the problem :
Windows Mobile 2003 does not support "enter" in SMS..
It happens to my HP iPAQ h6365 also.., but it's fixed since WM5.. (in my HTC Universal)
As you know, we can't upgrade the Windows Mobile in iPAQ h6365, so, you need to buy a new PDA..

Toggle only private meetings on today screen

Hi folks,
I searched an hour and couldn't find anything: I want to be able to (easily) switch the today screen calendar to:
A) only show private meetings
B) show all meetings
The Nokia N70 does this nicely but I couldn't find any WM software to do the trick. I own a Nike with WM 6.1 btw.
The reason for my request is, that on weekens I would like to be spared with being reminded of meetings next week at the office - improving my work-life-balance ;-)
Anyone know of a solution?
Thanks & Best regards,
p0lDi
This is a wonderful option to be implemented into poutlook. I know you can filter your appointments by categories rather than by status.. so i assume that if you're willing to accept this it would not be that hard to write a quick script which switches between filters.
do you think that would be enough?
not sure - I would assume that the filter is not applied to the today screen, or is it? Also I use categories for other things already... But maybe I just got you wrong ;-)
Well, i assume that to filter to the today screen you'd need a seperate application... but i'm not sure.
The windows today plugin is indeed very basic with only few to no options.
You'll need a separate today plugin like SPB Diary or WebIS Pocket Informant.
I'm sure there are lits more.

Windows Mobile Contacts

Hi everyone,
I'm not really new to Windows Mobile and I have a Gigabyte GSmart i120 device (Windows Mobile 6) but every time I read Windows Mobile reviews from gsmarena I get confused:
When talking about the phone book, on page 4 of HTC Touch HD review for example, it is always mentioned that "if you ever feel that the existing contact fields are not enough, you can always rename some of the existing ones and use them instead"
Can anyone guide me with this issue? Because until now, I've only seen Inesoft AddressBook which is capable of renaming the existing fields... but renaming the fields doesn't cause them to appear in the standard Windows Mobile contacts and only Inesoft can read them as fields (not just notes) .... ??????
Please everyone, I'm very very curious to know ...
I am relatively new to Windows mobile, having acquired an X1 in January this year, coming from Symbian UIQ. Having read that very same statement elsewhere, I was suprised and disappointed to find out that was not the case, and ended up saving contacts with multiple mobile numbers as car, pager and such. I'd be very happy if someone told me how or if at all that is possible?

[Q] htc x7500

hi guys - nice site!
I just have a few comments and questions and maybe a tip for who ever are interested.............
I bought a htc x7500 advantage lastweek.
this is my first htc or windows mobile device so some of the "negative" points could be something i could maybe just need to get used to over time.......
I already upgrade to spl1.2 and from there to 3.5 - not bad for a first try - all thanks to the directions and explanations from these forums!!!!
I am currently running ap 4.0 (spl 3.5) - so far this is the best one for my device. I tried wm6.5 but it is way too slow (any comments - maybe my device's processor can't handle it?)
I am used to symbian and are quite comfy with it regards to installing apps - self sighning etc.........
now......
(1) is there anyway to get garmin xt to work on this windows mobile thing?
I can install it - no problem - but I cannot get it to use the "build in" gps?
any body with ideas - on a symbian it is no problem
(2) x7500 build in gps SUX - or is it just me?!
(3) where can you get a PROPER alarm clock for this thing. a single beep is not
going to get my attention never mind waking me up! or is there a way I can
copy a mp3 file into the windows folder where i can then select it from the
settings tab on that little alarm icon. I tried to look for it (for example
windows\splat.wav but to no avail.....
(4) is there a proper call blocker or blacklist for this thing - one that blocks
private numbers and where you can just import the number from your
contacts or sim. I know on the symbian (nokia n97 to be preciese) there
is a thing called blacklist - it works very well but for windows mobile it
looks like it is not quite there yet
(5) field test display or net monitor for the x7500? I know for some HTCs
you type in *#*#364#*#* and it brings up the engineering function.
This is quite important to me as I am working as a field technition in the
cellular industry and use it almost every day
and that's it for now
awsome site with nice instructions - hope some will be able to help me with these 5 points - thanks and cheers

error this application requires a 16 bit pocket pc or smartphone

Hi, I have a slight (and random) problem
I upgraded my phone to wm6.5.3 (from default rom of wm6.1)
I was not aware that there would be compatibility issues ... (only difference is interface I thought -.-)
I have had 3 programs/games that have had issues, 2 freeware, 1 commercial (already sent email to dev)
all have different programs, but they all worked fine in wm6.1 (on both my htc universal and ipaq 910c, and ipaq 910c emu)
the one question I'm hoping to get help on is the error message I posted above in the title
I get a window (error) with the following message:
this application requires a 16 bit pocket pc or smartphone
Now, I am 100% sure that is IS a legit pocket pc app (ran the same files on my htc and emu in wm6.1), however, I can't even find the website anymore (some random 16 tile mahjong game from a Chinese website I found a LONG time ago)
the error seems weird....I couldn't even find it on google/xda....
any advice?
PS: my ipaq 910c is annoying, forced landscape, so very few games work,
this is the only freeware/commerical mahjong16 tile I found that works on my device
Thank you for your assistance

[Q] Offline note application with categories or tags for WM6.5?

I know it's weird for you to read someone ask this in the year 2014, but I'm actually using a HP iPAQ 216!
Anyway, I REALLY don't like it's note application. I used to use a Palm TX and I could organize everything in categories, then I could synchronize it with the Palm desktop software and I could find everything organized in the same categories and I could even edit them from my desktop computer.
Does anyone know of a similar application for Windows Mobile 6.5? Hopefully freeware, but it doesn't have to be, just as long as it does have those characteristics.
I installed Evernote for WM6.5 and it's really close to what I'm looking for, the major problem is that I can't read the notes without a WiFi connection. That's a BIG problem for me.
I REEEEEEEEEALLY hope someone can help me out .
