I have searched on the forum and have found the app to run the camera after a delay with timed frames if required BUT does anybody have one that will start the cam in video mode after say "3 hours" etc.
O2 XDA
Thanks

Hi if anyone can help I'd be grateful. When I turn the video camera on, the screen on my xda exec fills with the image being viewed. As soon as I press the record button the recorded image shrinks to the size of the video call camera size. This happens on the 'forward' facing camera even after selecting 'play full screen' option.Switching between the two cameras doesn't enlarge the captured image.I also completed a hard reset with no change.
Any tips please ? Thanks, Julian.

Hey There!
First of all yes i have used the Search Function as well as Google
I have the following Problem:
I want to use my Galaxy S2 as a Camcorder to record something like 2-3 Hours of Video from an upcoming Event. The Problem is that the Screen takes in my Oppinion too much Energy so that I want to be able to switch it off!
The standard Camera App stops the Video as soon as you lock the device and the other Software does either not do what it should or does not work at all (or records in SD -> no way )
Does anybody know a Solution/Has a suitable App?
Greetings and Thanks in advance
Not sure if its just me or if anyone else is experiencing this issue
As you can watch this video, it takes forever for the camera to take pic and then processing it..
If I close the camera app before it thumbnail goes to the top right corner, it seems to just delete itself..
BTW, Im on CM11s rom, running franco kernel, in case anyone wants to know...
Thanks for any help..
You're using HDR mode that complies multiple exposure settings to get you the best pic. It's always slower than non HDR mode.
That looks horrible.
HDR mode on my nexus 4 works a lot faster.

First pic was in auto mode.. you can see after I focused on the car, I hit the shutter button... 3 secs later, sound and then another 7 secs later the pic gets taken.. I then swiped to the different scene modes
but regardless which scene mode, does the same thing... really annoying.. tried uninstalling and reinstalling many times but same thing...
not sure if theres a similar topic, but Ive noticed an issue with saving photos after they are taken, it takes couple minutes or more for them to show in gallery.
if I take a photo, and go out of the camera app and enter gallery, the most recent photos wont show.
But if I go back to camera app and swipe right, it will show them there.. wth?!
Try downloading the latest version from play.

Do you think we will get an update with this feature ?
The problem is, not only there is no tap to focus in the motorola camera app, BUT even when trying with other apps, tap to focus in video is not working (open camera for example)
That's odd about Open Camera since tap to focus video seems to work for me using it. There are several different video focus settings in Open Camera while in video mode, auto, infinity, locked, and continuous. In continuous I can tap the screen for focus.
My bad, I didn't see the other settings for the video focus in open camera ! I confirm that it is now working !
It's a pretty good app to be completely free with no ads.if it only had slow motion, it would be perfect. At least I don't think it has, there are a lot of settings. Like you, it took me awhile to find all of them.

First post So please don't mind if I make a mistake.
I think camera2api doesn't work on manual camera apps. In open camera app if I select the 'use camera2api toggle ' then the app can't take videos. The videos are either like 1 frames per 1 second and don't save or a 'serious camera error' is produced and the app hangs. In hedge cam app manual controll works for photo . But for video it doesn't work completely . If 240 fps is selected in settings then it can take videos fine but for other fps settings like 150fps 120fps ir any other fps the app gives a serious camera error and hangs as mentioned above .
Can anyone else confirm if they have or havn't this issue?
Steps to reproduce-
1. go to hedgecam 2 app
2. go to settings
3. turn toggle use camera2api to on
4. go to video settings
5. go to video frame rate
6. set it to 120 fps
7. go back to camera interface and try to shoot a video
8. serious camera error shows after 1 second and the hedgecam 2 app hangs
