Try Videolan. The PocketPC version is still in beta, but it might work. I haven't tried it for real media or on the O2, but it won't take you long to find put if it works.
This is the Videolan home page:
http://www.videolan.org/
This is the link to the latest PPC build:
http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/wince/trunk-20051201-0130/vlc-0.8.5-svn-20051201-0130-wince.zip
Edit: I've just looked at the info for Videolan and it doesn't support Real Media. Sorry.

Thanks a lot!!! Is very good program!! thanks,.!!

I know there is a "USB Pen" which can make a laptop a TV... (it is a tv-tuner)
Maybe our PPC be connected to that USB device (since PPC has also USB interface) via some usb-host or any other adapter, and could view directly tc on the screen? could be so cool!

Yeah, there are several PPC -> PC remote controllers; both fully-fledged ones (TSC etc.) and multimedia-only ones (see http://www.pocketpcmag.com/awards/category_WandF_2006.asp?catid=41#RemoteMediaController ).
Also note that I've written several articles on the PC -> PPC control (that is, the opposite direction); see http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/index.php?blog=3&p=514&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1 for a complete roundup & comparison.
Anything like this?
Hi. Is there any software for my O2 Atom Pure that will allow me to present Powerpoint presentations on my Laptop with Bluetooth through my O2 Atom Pure? I am used to using the software called "Nokia Wireless Presenter" in my Nokia 6630. Surely, there must be a similar program for a Windows mobile device too.. Thanks folks. Please help me..

PPC video out

Is there anyway to output video playback from the ppc?
The spectec SDIO card is only for pics and presentations, I'm looking for something that can output real video.
I know that you can do it now with slingbox, but I want something portable that i will be able to connect to any TV (like a SDIO card).
Is there any product that can do that?
regardless, I read somewhere that you can stream video from the ppc to your TV using an HTPC (Home Theater PC) and some program called ORBIS. Do you have any idea what are they talking about? I can't find the link for the discussion...
Thanks for any help
There was some news story recently where the reporter was "shooting" video live on his phone and it was being broadcast on TV. This obviously means it's possible, but turning your PPC into a server is a different story.
There is the ActiveSync Remote Display, part of the Windows Mobile Developer Power Toys, but I never tested it to stream video. If it works on the some technology as Remote Desktop, you won't be able to stream video. But try it out.
Good luck,
Matt
oh, i m not alone. i m looking the same thing as well. i m looking (still looking...) something (not SDIO) that can output the pda screen display (and also sound) to tv or monitor. i m using o2 atom, so the only "connection" is either via a special usb cable or a bluetooth device.

Please make sure you follow my articles. CoolCamera is what you're looking for - it's the best solution for this.
I don't recommend PC -> PPC controllers because of speed issues - not even the, in this respect, fastest (read my remote controller roundup, it has been referenced several times in my articles cross-posted to here) Soti Pocket Controller.
I don't know if this has been discussed anywhere else but...
Does anyone know how I can get the video from my Tilt to show on my Pioneer AVIC-D3 display? I have my Slingbox setup and working on my Tilt and I can get the audio to play through the Bluetooth to the receiver, but I don't see a way to get the video to transfer over. Maybe a wired connection to the Aux Video Input jack?
Any ideas would be appreciated!
Thanks to all...
PCFixer
It's http://orb.com. It turns your home pc into a streaming media server. Hands down better that slingbox.
With ORB you can connect your TV via a TV Tuner Card, or Have Live Secure Webcams with motion capture.
Also If you would like to stream and capture cam video from you mobile device to web you might want to check out comvu.com
You Must Never Ever Owned A SLINGBOX!

You must not own a SlingBox, Orb will never ever be better than the SlingBox. Orb buffers all the time, with the SlingBox you get perfect video all the time, don't you know. The newly just released SlingPlayer mobile software is the 8th wonder of the world, Orb don't even come close dude.(LOL)

TV Out Cable for Apache

Hi you all!
Does anyone knows if there is a TV Out cable for the apache?. Im looking for something that could allow me to show powerpoint presentations without having to connect to a PC.
Be well,
Tony
use bluetooth or wifi. there are apps for it.
Thanks el_venga,
Any experiences/recommendations with those devices?
Frat001

Tv out Cable for Apache
Can someone please elaborate with links to cables
that will allow the HTC Apache Xv6700 to do TV out.
Is there software that will allow this, meaning a windows mobile tv out application?
Where can the software be downloaded to allow VGA out via wifi or blue tooth?
The reason I ask is because I googled these topics and found no information that helped me.

help watching tv on wm6

hey guys.
this is probably a newbie issue, but i can't seem to get any of the tv players to work with my phone.
i've downloaded the trial to HandiTV, Pocket Live TV, and SPB Online. all HandiTV opens a link to media player, and when media player accesses that link, it closes down without giving an error, and obviously without working. SPB online took forever loading the few channels it had and never got to it. Pocket Live TV either said "error" or "access denied" wih some channels, and with a couple actually said "Playing" but nothing was playing on the screen.
i'm testing with the ActiveSync connection. my goal is to get a program that will let me watch over WiFi as I have free WiFi access at the university and plenty of time to myself between classes so i would like to watch tv in that time :-D
please let me know what i'm supposed to do to get one of them to work! Preferably HandiTV as it seems to have the best selection of channels
thank you!
If I am not mistaken, all of those programs require a subscription to the service they offer...so that may be your problem.
nope, all the ones i'm trying are "demo" or "trial", so i should be able to "try" them before purchasing them. i've been able to get Pocket Live TV so work with some channels, but nothing that i'm interested in watching.
oh well, after reading it seems it's never going to be a true tv watching program as i'll be watching whatever they're sending online. when i originally downloaded the programs i was hoping for something like off-the-air tv reception or something
why dont they make a tv tuner that you can plug into the usb port and then do it that way? i'd pay for that!
EDIT: well apparently they make something similar to "it". I can buy a SDIO tv tuner for about $150 from Hong Kong that will work with the wizard. To get the SD card to work though i'd need a SD-to-mini adapter, so about $200 all said and done and i can have a self-powered tv antenna hooked up to the phone...huh...that'll have to wait!

[Q] Stream PC audio to Windows Phone

Hi,
I would like to be able to hear all my Windows PC sounds on my Windows Phone via Wifi. Ive been searching for quite long time now with no luck. Anyone knows better?
Cheers
QloudMedia, http://app.qiss.mobi/ , http://www.windowsphone.com/en-US/apps/a6a48d5e-a249-42c9-a552-3111c26051e6
Not an audio only, but video (transcoding "on the fly") and pics too
Neat! Thank you! Will give it a try as son as i can
but if isnt it too much to ask, isnt there any free alternative?
also my initial thought (belive i wasnt very clear) was to use the phone as a kind of "wireless headphone" since i could watch game stream, online web radio and so on w/o beeing in front of the pc.
Qloud doesnt seems to do that, or am i mistaken?

No. With QloudMedia you can stream existing audio/video files to your handset. To be able watch something directly from you PC screen, you may try any remote desktop apps (but they are also paid).
im trying "pc remote" and it is really great, but it doesnt have the audio feature,
do you know any?
