Yo,
Can anyone suggest how I can get my music files onto my device via bluetooth? I have successfully done it on my desktop via the USB, however, I would like to try it via my powerbook. Maybe it can't work because it's a Mac!

I have downloaded the prgramme from the site for unlockign the XDA but my PC does not seem able to run it. Can anyone explain why, or what I may need to enable it to run? Also, does anyone know whether O2 in England can refuse to unlock my XDA? I've had it for more than a year. Thanks.
think you need the seriel cable and this program if it's xda1
and you cant use this tool

the XDAunlock.exe tool should run on the XDA device not the PC ... copy it to the device using normal activesync and the cradle and run it through the file explorer on the XDA
Hey guys, I have a galaxy 3 with CM7 (kyrillos release) and I'm having a problem when using the phone to transfer files...
When I connect it to any PC without Kies, windows start searching for drivers, but it doesn't find anything, so the phone isn't recognized, and I can't transfer files...
In my pc, with Kies installed, I connected the phone and windows started searching for drivers and found, installed them and it's working fine...
So, what could be done to connect the phone sucessfully in other PCs without Kies?
Thanks
just install kies , it contains some drivers for your sd so the pc can see the sd..otherwise you could use a card reader and connect you sd straight to your pc/laptop
or else got to this thread and download the driver directly
There is no way to get USB storage working without downloading any files?
So I would need to carry with me a pendrive with the driver?!
yes if you don't have internet connection. All usb devices need a driver...
but when I put a pendrive, windows find the driver... but, when I put the phone, windows does not find
there are a few thousand drivers preloaded in windows to increase support out of the box for many devices, it's impossible to include every driver though
i think pendrives use a generic driver anyways
reflash the phone
install adb drivers for samsung in your pc
connect your phone to pc
u can find a small driver pack from google with only 10+m
Sent from my GT-I5800 using XDA App
I think there is no way to conect the phone to pc using cable without installing the drivers. But there is an app that can help you on your purpose, it's the AirDroid, you can find it in the market. With this app you just need to conect to the same wireless network as the computer you want to transfer files, and you're able to transfer files using the internet browser, and others stuff like manage contacts, messages, ringtones, apps...
HI! I have tried few ways but non of them was good. What is the best way to transfer files wirelessly from phone to pc?

Is it possible to use the Z3 to install Windows onto another PC? I have an ISO file of Windows 8.1, but I don't have a flash drive to use to install it. I also don't have any blank DVDs. Is it possible to use my phone to do this instead?
i think you just have to try for yourself. Never heard of anyone doing that

First of all I would like to compliment you on the idea. Its original
Theoretically it is like booting from a usb device, so it should be doable. First of all you have to make sure that boot from usb is enabled in the bios of the pc.
Secondly you have to make sure that your z3 is set up as MSC device in the usb setting.
Then you have to extract the contents of the iso file to the root of the z3's flash card.
Reboot the pc while phone is connected and let it boot from the usb.
This should work.
Good luck mate
Use DriveDroid app from they pay store, it was made for just this purpose
I am connecting my S6 to Mac but the phone does not shows any USB options but only charges the phone. Android File Transfer also doesn't recognises the phone. I am using the original cable, have factory reseted many times and also wiped cache partition. What could be wrong? Software issue or hardware issue? Please any tips...Thanks.
Me too... Same issue... Anyone with a clue?
Try downloading Smartswitch for Mac. It's the official Samsung software to work between PC/Mac to a Samsung Android. If you already have these installed Android file transfer won't work. They don't play well with each other.

I am not even getting "Connected as media device" notification but only charging notification when I connect it via USB.
You can browse your file system with SideSync.
