It does work, but you need to run this patch everytime you want to use TomTom. It requires a reboot before and after use so a little annoying. However it does the job.

What GPRS (bluetoth) is the best?
Has anybody experience with the accuraty of TomTom Mobile 5 in an alpine (NorthItaly) region?
Try this GlobalSat BT338 SIRF Star III Bluetooth GPS. It works just fine with sp3i, sp5m, qtek 2020 & PC and ... inside my office !!
TomTom work fine in qtek 8310 I- mate sp5 you just need to download the latest update from tt website.

i install TT 5.20, with Benelux Map. I start TT ok, choose a voice ok, when it come to choose a map, i choose benelux, wait 5 sec, then i'm ejected from TT ? it will close himself ?
i have install TT (copy and paste) all necessary files into my mini SD card, included the map (the map is the one from my TT navigator, work fine in my Qtek S100)
I just install the patch in order to install ant kind application (the certificate unlock tool)
but nothing change, still can't stat the map
i try other map, same thing.
what i'm doing wrong?

i copy and overwrite all files. Start TT again and now the message is different : i only have the green warning screen when you can only say "accept"
then i'm directed to the map choice
i try both map (Benelux_Map from my TT navigator 5; and an older Belgium_Map from an older TT 4.4)
still don't work

I think it's the map. Anyone here with a small map to test ?
hi, the map u using is for old version of tomtom mobile 4 wich i think that is not compatible with tomtom 5,you need to get the map of tt5 in order to get it to work.

i think my mini SD is the probleme.
I try several maps from Tornado users, and for me when i try to open the map it will eject me from TT
PS: all the maps i'm using is TT5 maps
i tr to get a new SD tomorow, i let you know
just get a new card but no change.
i read and read and finally i understand my mystake.
the files i've got say "copy currentmap.dat into storage card/my document/tomtom"
that was wrong, need to be copy into main memory/my document/tomtom
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
now it's working fine

Thanks, I had exactly the ame problem, took me ages, until I copied the currentmap.dat to the main memory, not the storage card.

What also helped 4 me was to copy the canary island map to the root of the sd card... i can use the newest maps of europe which are supplied with a tomtom go 500

I've got a Qtek 2020 with TomTom 5.21.
I also have a Dell Axim X51 with the same problem.
After installing TomTom via the .cab files the created Today-plugin doesn't work. Installing on this WM5 devices wasn't easy.
After tapping the today-plugin I get a beep from the device but TomTom doesn't start. It will only start via Program Files.
Anyone any idea?

The TomTom Today-Plugin just links to a startmenu-entry of TomTom. Make shure you have a "TomTom.lnk" in "\windows\Startmenu" and/or in "\windows\Startmenu\Programs". (If not - copy it to there)
It also maybe that the Plugin links to the "TomTom.exe " -> check the installation-path. Possibly you have it in "\Programs" and the Today-Plugins expects it in "\Programme"

you can go to iphone-forum.org..plenty of s/w for ppc.
Xda mini's latest official rom is 1.12. there is a 1.13 rom which u can try to upgrade to.just search the thread

1/ TOM TOM is excellent, else it wouldn't be so popular! You can find out more at http://www.tomtom.com/products/category.php?ID=1&Language=1 and you should be able to buy it at consumer electronics stores like **** Smith, or perhaps for cheaper off eBay.
2/ Please search the forums next time! The latest version of WINDOWS is Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition, however the latest ROM of Windows (check Start > Settings > System > Device Information in your Magician) is 1.13 (T-Mobile) or 1.12 official O2, as mentioned earlier.
3/ Not a clue. However I have managed to google a review of TomTom + SirfStar II GPS with a HTC Wizard (http://www.theunwired.net/?itemid=3206), which is pretty close to what you seem to be seeking!

I have just picked up my new Orbit 11 with Co pilot working well .
I have thought about swapping out Co pilot for Tomtom but am not sure that
1 If I do I will be able to swap back ? ( I see that some of the folder names used by
Co pilot are the same as Tom tom ,2577 ? ) , and as tomtom is not supported by O2
I may give my self a problem?
2 If I just put tom tom on a new sd card and install from there will it over write co pilot.
3 I have heard that Tom tom locks up the com ports so switching back to co pilot may
not find the gps unit ?
4 Which is best , Co pilot/ Tom tom 5/6

You have been given the CoPilot installation CD (or at least you should have been). With this you should be able to reinstall CoPilot if TomTom does indeed overwrite any files.

I've got this error saying that there is not enough space for installing IGO8. But I have a 2G card... and Igo8 should go there, right? Anybody managed to install IGO8 on Vox?

but this telphone cant find any satellite's
does someone can tel me what to do...

@ layla gm750 u have to go to options in tomtom and select i think com1 for gps.
