Does anyone know how setup Qteq 9310 or similar device to auto pick GPRS connection from GPRS list.
My problem: T-Mobile in Croatia have Access point: "web.htgprs." but when I leave country and use phone in Roaming, for GPRS I need connect to "web.htgprs" (without dot at the end).
So I create two GPRS connections, and my idea is that phone tray connect to first, and if not connect, they tray connect to next from the list.
On MDA devices, there are "Auto pick" options, on smartphone there is not this options .
Anyone know some solutions (registry change, applications, ...)?
thanks,
Mario.
HI all,
I'm experiencing the following problem with my Cruise.
When having the Cruise connected to my PC through USB cable (Activesync on), mobile applications other than IE cannot access the Internet.
My configuration is:
on ActiveSync
my computer is connected to: "work network"
on the Cruise
start > parameters > connections > connections
advanced tab > network selection is set to work network for both types of networks
proxy configuration on the other tab is the correct one for my network
The only application on the Cruise capable of connecting the Internet with this configuration is IE: when starting, it asks for proxy username & password and pages are loaded correctly.
Any other application (the HTC today screen, when looking for the meteo data, Opera, QuickGPS...) do not arrive to connect the Internet falling in timeout (no request for proxy authentication).
Of course, at home (ActiveSync configured as connected to the Internet) everything work fine and all applications connect to the Internet w/o problems.
Any idea?
Thanks
Hi all.... ive got pretty much the problem? Any solutions guys??
Pretty much same here, except for QuickGPS... it manages to connect somehow.
it works for me, but without proxy...
Maybe this would help you?
Hey Wis38!
Just try to open the following ports ins your proxy:
990 (RAPI)
999 (Status)
5721 (DTPT)
5678 (Legacy Replication)
5679 (Handshake & Legacy Replication)
26675 (Airsync)
For further informations try the MS kb259369 and kb904667.
btw, good luck
Frank
Yeah, thanks.
But I'm not proxy administrator, and can't open those ports...
Any other ideas?
Ask your admin
Hmm...
I think then you have to ask aour admin...
Frank
try this
I had the same problem
you can try this

How can I use my Polaris like USB modem to connect Notebook on internet.
Is there some application or something like that?
Thanks.
try this one
on your device, go to start menu > programs > internet sharing
choose which connection you want to use (USB or BT) then press connect
if you choose USB, plug the USB cable to both PC and device immediately after connetion established.
if you choose BT (you have to make sure that your device have been paired to the computer), connect to your device through BT network access
in internet sharing mode, all activesync connection will be disconnected
there is a registry hack for windows to fix this issue, but normally the issue also effects syncing. But the bad news is that itsmore then likley that your network admin has locked down this type of access.
only IE keeps working via proxy.
Other 3rd party apps seem to prefer a direct connection ignorinng how windows settings are actually used to reach the Internet
I have exactly the same problem: IE can reach the Internet via the proxy in our work network and other apps like QuickGPS cannot.
Strangely enough this happens only with my HTC Touch cruise and does not happen with my Fujitsu Loox N560, which has exactly the same settings.
I have to note that I upgraded recently to WM 6.1 on the TC and that with WM6 it used to work
Any ideas
same problem for me... (qtek S200 & win 6.1)
Hi
There are some firewall available. I already only only tried Airscanner Firewall and I didn't see the feature I need in it. I would like to been able to block the specific network adapter. GPRS/EDGE transfer is very expensive in my country and would like to block all traffic on "cellular line" network adapter and leave wlan network adapter untouched to use only it. Are there any good firewalls for WM? I find a solution to for my problem to set not using GPRS totally but rarely I would like to browse some page via GPRS so firewall with that option will be faster then unlocking GPRS in settings.
WM6.5 and HTC Touch2
Cheers
For this you do not need a firewall , tap start>>settings>>connections>>connections, and then tap the 'advanced' tab,, after that tap the 'select network' button, and then you know what to do.
Cheers
Edit:If you still want to use cellular connection occasionally, you can appoint a specific browser, set it to use the phone connection. For example, you can install opera mobile 9.7 & 10 two versions, they can coexist on the phone. while 9.7use wifi & 10version uses gsm/3g network.
Just install MoDaCo NoData and you can disable all connections using GPRS
Hey I am trying to connect my Android device to a WPA2-Enterprise network.
I have exported my CA certificate and changed the extension to *.p12 so that android can import it.
I connected my work laptop and check on the wireless properties it shows the following:
Security Type: WPA2-Enterprise
Encryption type: AES
Authentication Method: Certificate
After I imported my certificate and click on the wireless connection it only provides me with a EAP method, which my laptop does not use because when I switch from certificate to "Microsoft: Protected EAP (PEAP)". Since I don't have password to connect to the WPA2-Enterprise 802.1x wireless, I would imagine it would be the same on my Android device "I tried my phone and tablet"..only using my windows credentials to connect for example domain\username and pw.
Any ideas?
Maybe I need to convert the certificate instead of changing the extension to *.p12?
I tried using Wifi Advanced Editor from the Market but no luck....has anyone run into this type of situation where you use certificates and no EAP?
Anybody???
Sensation - MIUI, various from 1.11.25 to 2.1.13 - EAP Wifi problem
I too have suffered from this problem and dispite looking at various bulletin boards have found no solution. I have tried different kernels, advanced wifi configurator and have the same problem.
Frustratingly it is not always present as an issue, sometimes it will connect and others it will not. If I find any more info, I will update this post
Any update on this, also wanting to connect my Razr to my work network
Any updates on this?
Hi Guys,
After upgrading to Oreo and the January security patch I encounter this issue where I couldn't connect to my company's Wifi, so after I deleted the profile I couldn't add it because now when I use 802.1x EAP it requires a certificate, when I choose none, it crashes the settings.
I tried exporting the certificate and adding it to the phone, but still doing it. I found from the Xiomi M1 forum they are having the same issue with the same version, and someone suggested using Wifi Manager from Kostya Vasilyev. It did let me add the hidden SSIDs, but it won't connect, I tried adding the profiles with the certificates, but nothing.
Any ideas?
