Wifi problem - General Topics

SanDisk Wifi SD card + Magician
Around me there are like 3 wifi networks. I want to connect to one which has lower signal than the other two. The phone wont listen to me and always connects to the strongest signal one. Why is that happening? All three have WEP disabled. And the phone is always "Associating - any"... Please help, dunno what to do!

Wi-Fi connecting to wrong network

Hi everyone,
Ever since installing the OTA Android 2.3.5 with Sense 3.0 update on my Desire S, I've been having problems with the Wi-Fi. When I'm at home, my phone keeps connecting to a BT Openzone network nearby, and I have to manually choose my home Wi-Fi. I could understand this if the BT connection had a better signal, but it only has 1 bar compared to 5 from my router. I constantly tell it to forget the BT network, but the next time I turn Wi-Fi on, it connects to it again.
Is there any way to permanently forget a Wi-Fi network, or to tell the phone to default to my home connection?
Thanks.

WiFi won't disconnect when out of range

Hi all,
I have HTC One S from T-Mobile and noticed a big problem with my WiFi connection.
My phone will connect automatically to the wifi network in my home/work correctly, but when I leave and am clearly out of range of my wifi network (say, a km away), the phone still claims to be connected to the network, but I of course have no actual connectivity. The signal strength it reports has varied, from full strength to just a few bars.
I try giving it a minute, but it seems stuck and refuses to officially disconnect from the network. The only way to fix things is to toggle my wifi on and off, at which point it goes to mobile data since it can't find any wifi networks to connect to.
The thing is that I use Wireless Bluetooth headphones and since I started using my new phone, the signal drops (I believe it is because of the Wi-Fi not disconnecting from the network and is causing disruptions to the bluetooth connection).
Any ideas how to resolve this issue? Thanks.

Work wifi

Hey guys I still cant connect to my works WiFi.
From the WiFi settings menu. When ever I try to connect it does nothing but says "saved"
My nexus 4 and 7 never had issues. IPhone connect just fine and other people with android phones either connect or can't
I need help, and the WiFi and whole network gets power cycled every weekend. It is a large WiFi network with the same ssid broadcasted from many repeaters throughout the plant
Were you able to solve this?

Wifi roaming bug is back on S7

I have two wifi APs with the same SSID and it will stick to one of them with next-to-useless connection while standing near the other one. which would have much better connection.
This works fine on my Nexus 9 tablet and even better on my iPad and my wifes iPhone..
I tried some possible workarounds like Always allow wi-fi roam scans but I didn't see any effect.
This fix for SG3 might work but i havn't rooted.
Even more solution suggestions
Doesn't this bother anyone else ?
wifi has a bug in 6.X and its been talked about before.
my problem some times when i want to connect to another wifi it connects for a 1 sec and then drops it
i turn off wifi and back on and it will connect
i'm trying the app "Wifi roaming fix" but i think it causes the wifi to disconnect for a couple of seconds when it switches.
Strange that this seems to be of no interest to anyone. Is there indeed nobody who is using one or more WLAN APs in addition to his/her WLAN router? I can't believe that.
I have two APs (Main router and 2nd router as AP) but not for more coverage, my main router pushes 5GHz wifi, the second AP pushes 2.4GHz for older clients that can't connect to 5GHz
The 5GHz router is placed on a wall in the middle of the house and the entire house has great coverage so no need for more APs
I have more APs in my house with OpenWRT and 802.11r aka Fast Roaming configured and roaming between all my APs is working perfectly with all my devices.
Note 10.1 2014 Wifi, S7 Exynos and all other also.
With APs configured as "normal" ap with the same SSID and key i had the same issue as you mentioned.
I think your phone dont know that it could roam between your two APs.
If you could not run OpenWRT on your APs for 802.11r, you could try to enable WDS on both APs even if your APs connected by wire.

Network and Wi-FI poor signals on J7 PRIME

Hello, I've recently got my hands on J7-PRIME which is an awesome phone but I have a lot of Wi-Fi issues with it, also weak cellular signals on it, for instance, I usually connect and chat with friends on another room which is not far away from the router, but Wi-Fi shows no bars and constantly disconnects by itself and unable to reconnect, shows a very weak reception, untill I change my spot, thought this issue is caused by the router, brought my cousin's XPERIA Z1 and she gets 2 bars and works like charm from the same spot where I get none bars and disconnection usually, I googled some solution and found that turning off WiFi power save mode could fix it, I tried doing so, but I cannot seem to find any option do disable it once I dial *#0011#, plz aid me through this issue, regards, Have a nice days lads
