Hi All,
Just got a phone from korea Which is very cool!
I was wondering if there any cool or new app that can run on my phone.
My phone is a LG KS20........touch screen.
Any advice really appricated!

You've got yourself a Windows Mobile phone - congratulations.
There's a plethora of free apps for WM out there, and Google will indeed point them out for you. You need to read around (a lot) and try them out (a lot). Always remember to note the forum rules.
Most of the apps from this site should work on your KS20 - should, because a) this is an XDA site after all and some apps & mods will be XDA-specific, and b) the KS20 doesn't support all WM apps as well as it should. Look out for dedicated LG or KS20 forums - I know there are a few.
Btw, I gave my KS20 back six months ago because of a battery bug, because audio output in satnav apps doesn't work and because support for a few important other WM apps is poor. These bugs have turned up all around the planet - it's all there in the forums, but I didn't know that before I bought mine. It's a nice sleek device with a good touch screen, but it just didn't work for me. If they haven't managed to put that right yet, and if you can still give it back to the vendor, you might consider getting - well, an XDA.

This belongs in the Questions and Answers thread. Almost everything should work on your phone if its running WM6. Might wanna check the resolution on the programs before you download them and any other prerequisites

I have the same phone... its windows mobile, that means there are thousands of apps
But you should check out fingermenu that's great...
i can give you a few tips though... dont expect to run too many graphics heavy apps like PointUI Home 2 or winterface it just cant handle them, LG forgot the drivers
it can handle SPB shell and PointUI Home 2 though so some works...
also keep you proof of purchase near might just be me unlucky but ive had mine on service two times in less than six months, on time i got a battery bug the status wouldnt update always 100% and the battery time was very short too... and now the screen got yellow spots on it so service again
just look trough these forums every now and then and you will find plenty of great apps

its the same as all windows mobile phone.
find a .tsk file and transfer that file into my device/my documents...now go to start,settings,today and ur .tsk file is shown as theme
you can find theme in freewarepocketpc.net

just download some windows mobile theme copy/paste on u mobile phone on your phone memory(u can post it in my documents for example).Than go Start>Settings>Today>and u should see theme that you added.Choose theme and pres ok.

I must say I have been pretty impressed the way this forum has been run by you fellas. I get to learn a lot of things in these pages.
I have installed the new Windows Phone 6.5. Below is the link to it.

All the credit goes to MietasSR who ported this ROM to the Tornado.
I think the ROM is quite stable and is safely usable. I really loved the Zune interface ( a.k.a Sliding Panel Interface ) and so I am glad now . It is still faster than any of the Standard ROMs I tried on my device but a bit slower than the excellent Kamikadze's RC7 WinMo 6.1
NOTE:There is no camera app in this. As it is unnecessary for me, I don't care. And for those who don't know how to unlock, just press the Home key for long until you get a cursor and then use it to unlock. You can return to the classic style of unlocking ( left soft key and 0 ) by going to Settings>Lock>Display and choosing the Windows Classic option.URL

Installed Without problem on my Imate Sp5M .
Not as Good as 6.1 ,
Speed is not also Too Good , But if Use OmapClock then it become Good,
There are some settings that After install You should Do
like
Enable Classic Lock ,
In power Option Disbale auto Device off
Etc
and i install TCPMP and i have installed the smartphone version and it is installed as PPC version ,
mean i must enable the Cursor for using it , ( can be use with hot keys)
overall this release is Compromisable , Need Improvments
The Most i like , it was Its Theme , that have a Awesome look
also The signals come 0 after every few minutes then takes few seconds to go back to 100%

True. This needs improvement. The work was incomplete and the "chef" MietasSR clearly specified that. its working satisfactorily for most uses. I hope anyone else could continue the excellent work that he started. I am willing to learn and do it too, just need the packages so that I can cook a new ROM. I hope I can find the details through Google and anyways this forum is of great help too. I didn't observe the signals problem you referred to.

I opened a new thread as I wanted other people to know that there is already a working 6.5 ROM for Tornado. The link to it was buried in a thread which had a discussion about porting 6.5 to Tornado and multiple requests for the same. Normally there is a new thread for a new ROM and wherein users can post queries, comments and suggestions.

i have installed this rom at my qtek8310.
installed applications at my storage card, 1gb mini sd.
problem is, if i turn off the phone, turn it on, the application is changed to white windows icon and the application is not accessible anymore.
what went wrong?

Try removing the storage card and putting back again. I too faced this problem then I figured out it was because of loose connections. Just make sure that the card sits properly in the depression and lock it in properly before putting the battery.

It is Professional.
This version is of an earlier build and misses on a few areas.
Look for MeitasSR's 23016 build 6.5 ROM in this forum.

Had the device less than a day and loving it.
I'm finding Pocket Scrobbler can't detect track information from the HTC Music Player. I've messaged the softwares developer, but in the meantime I was wondering whether anyone had managed to get it working, or if people have a good alternative?
Regarding Fring, I tried the installation via SMS, it gave me a generic WinMo installation. It appears to install fine, but then when you select the Fring icon to open the program nothing happens. Installed a couple of times, restarted phone, but no joy with either of those simple fixes. Again, suggestions or alternatives?

As far as I know, current fring versions doesn't work with wm6.5.
The last rom I have used fringe was Roms based on wm6.1.

I have been using nimbuzz and it seems to work fine..

I am a Fring fan as well and I have written in Fring forums about the nature of the problem during my HD time (running Leo ROMs) the problem occurs only when the HTC Message is running.
So a temp fix is disabling HTC Sense from Today and enjoy Fring..
I hope the guys at Fring find a work around solution for this.

I opening this new thread ( sorry if I have used the wrong section but I really don't know which one is the good one ! ) because my car got a multimedia software base on microsoft windows mobile to handle bluetooth phone connections and usb media player songs...
Now this is based on windows mobile indeed the updates files are in .cab form but as very often happens with the old windows mobile this software has many bug..so I was wondering if it could be possible to open the software to try to fix some bugs...
If anyone wants to give me an hands I can pass the systems files...

I use this topic to ask a question :
I have blue&me on my new punto evo, but it only works with flash drive, when I connect my phone (Xperia Arc configurated as USB mass storage MSC) my phone's just charging, nothing else happens and then nothing works, even flash drive.
I have to unplug the battery for one minute to reset the system, and then flash drive works.
Is it a known issue, could somebody help me ?

I read at somepoint that HTC may be releasing some form of a wifi sharing app for HTC smartphones. At the end of the post that I was reading, there was a cab that installed CMWifiSharing.exe to my Windows directory. However, it looked like that app was for touchphones, sine I couldn't interact with the UI in anyway.
My question is, is there any free application out there that enables wifi sharing for an HTC Ozone on Windows Mobile 6.5?
i'm not sure if any of them support non-touchscreen devices.. but you should try WMWifiRouter and ICS either way.

Already tried WMWifiRouter, worked ok, but I'd rather not pay for it if there's already a free alternative out there (or in the making). What is this ICS you speak of?
it's a simple app designed to pretty much do the same as WMWifiRouter.. but with much less options.
look for it.. it's easy to find.

Do you mean this?
I downloaded it to my phone, tried running it, and it crashed right away with an error saying "NotSupportedException at Microsoft.AGL.Common.MISC.HandleAr() ..."
I already have a newer Compact Framework than the one ICS requires. So what can I do?
Edit: Just looking at the screenshot for this program makes it seem it's for a completely different mobile operating system. Reading around on the Internet a bit, it seems like that error occurs when an application tries to create a button that isn't supported on the phone.
Got any other ideas?
unfortunately, no. I haven't used any other wifi sharing software other than these 3. If i were you, i'd try doing it thru winmo. create an AdHoc connection in your native WM environment and try connecting to it. You can probably find many threads concerning the creation and sharing of an AdHoc connection in the forum.
