I sent my trade-in on Monday October 17th and the money was in my account on Thursday October 20th. Guess I got lucky.
I'm sending my Pixel 5a 5G in for trade in against my new Pixel 7. I'll update my experience when it's complete for reference.
Sold my Samsung S21 256GB normal so not Plus to Google, that whole thing took almost 4 weeks, but I got the full 355€, although my phone had light scratches on the back of the camera.
I am happy with the trade in program from Google, I would have gotten much less on Ebay.

Is that actually a thing? Mine will hit 30 from phone delivery/label creation on Sunday, Google has my device but hasn't confirmed receipt yet. It took over two weeks to get delivered and now they've had it for a week. Maybe I'll contact support tomorrow, I was going to wait until Monday. Here's my tracking for reference:

Mines stuck in Nashville too since Oct 30th. No movement since.

My trade-in went into the mailing pipeline on Oct. 25, and I just got an email that it's been taken in for assessment today at 1pm.
The USPS tracking still shows it in-process at their Nashville hub.
Their trade-in process still seems massively boned.
I assume everyone got the trade in tabs with the tamper evident stickers? If that's the case you figure they could tell that someone from USPS now has a new phone and just to credit you. Seems like the trade-in process is just getting worse every single year.
Bear in mind that USPS tracking is unreliable, delayed, or both. At the time Google credited me for the second of two Pixel 5s, USPS tracking still showed both phones moving through the network.
I wouldn't worry about what the USPS tracking shows. Mine got stuck in a loop in Nashville when I sent my trade-in. I checked with USPS who said I need to connect directly with Google but USPS also told me that with the volume of such trade-ins, there is a possibility that the delivery scan was not completed properly and its likely it will be delivered (either on time or with a few days delay and sometimes in batches).
Then I contacted Google directly who told me that they were aware of issues with USPS deliveries and trade-in (particularly this year). Two days after I called Google, I got a notification that they indeed received my phone (though USPS still shows as stuck in Nashville/in transit), completed the check within 24 hours, paid the trade-in value to my bank account which was deposited in another 24 hours.
Also, Google said, once the Trade-in has been sent by the customer, it will be Google's responsibility and they will ensure the trade-in value is refunded back to the customer (and if the delivery of the trade-in is delayed by USPS, they will conduct an inquiry/search). In any case, Google assured that trade-in values will always end up with the customer one way or the other. I have been doing this almost every year since the first Pixel and have not had any issues with Google actually completing the process (though USPS can sometimes be a nuclear wasteland of an organization when it comes to shipping, delivery, tracking, systems, etc.!).
Everyone is keeping in mind that the phone has a lithium battery in it and therefore must go ground.
Mines shown it was delivered on 10/21 but google page still shows "Waiting to receive old phone". I did contact google support and escalated the ticket but so far I'm in a loop of google support contacting their "product specialist" lol.

Are you shipping your phone? Have you actually looked at the tracking? Ground doesn't take two weeks to go from Illinois (or Boston in my case) to Tennessee. It should take at most 5 days. Shipping it ground is irrelevant to the situation unfolding right now.

I'm in a similar boat. Mine was delivered 11/3, contacted Google today and now I'm waiting to hear back.

Do you know what kind of shipping Google is paying for? That phone may go to FL then to TX then to TN. IDK that there is any law that says they have to update tracking. I find it not all that uncommon for shippers to not update tracking. Everyone is under staffed, the people that are there don't want to work, and everything is a clusterf. And yes, shipped the 6 back last week.

First-Class Mail, which USPS' own website says should be delivered within 1-5 business days.
It's not just about updating tracking, even when they do update the packages are often held at distribution centers local to the shipper or once they get to Tennessee. Just look at the tracking info provided by myself and the two others. That's not normal, hence why we have a thread to track and provide data points.
I guess I'm not as taken aback because of what I see going on at work. We have equipment sitting dead because we cannot secure parts. Stuff gets lost in shipping. We have over 750k of new equipment purchases we have been waiting on for months and will not show up this year we are told. Not sure most really realize how close things are to really collapsing. Believe me, Google and your phone could soon be the least of your problems.
