Guys i am gettin crazy here; my PDA Hymalaia; is giving me some bad times... when i plug the chrager to it, the orange led goes on as if it is charging, but when i tap to the battery meter it is still the same percentage. it simply dosen't charge the battery... now tell me what is this????????
repair history that i made by myself, (hope it would be helpful):
1. The power conector had some adjustments made; one of the tiny tiny wires on the connector was pushed inside by mistake, so i had to open the PDA push the wire back out. and things went just fine
2. Whenever i place the charger, it dose not charge and no indicators are on (orange indecator) so i opened the PDA again to check; i found that the metal piece holding the plastic connector not stable, made some adjustments, and thing went fine again.
3. Now when i put the charger i have to push the connector upwards for the PDA to start chargin, finally the orange indicator is on; but still not charging. why????
Please help me with this... my PDA is useless at the moment.....
thanks
I don't know if this is relavent to you but my i-mate will not charge with a car charger if the battery is under 40% charge, it will charge in the house cradle no worries bu tin the car charger the light comes on to say it is charging but it continues to use the battery, even in the setting under battery it says it is charging. If the battery is over 40% the car charger works fine.
Hi folks i bought a new battery with 4600mAh and everything was working like a charm. One day i put the 9000 to a wall charger to chargw but the indicator became red instead of yellow when charging. My first thought was that the charger broke up but with the previous battery charging was working just fine. What to do to bring to life the new battery? Has anyone any idea??
(It's too bad send in England from Greece if it's not really broken)
I notice that when charging in the Uni, if the battery is exhausted that initially the charge light will be red. It will then change to yellow as the battery is charged a bit. Then green when fully charged.
I would leave the battery in the charger and see if after about 5-10 minutes of charging it turns yellow.
Well i have left it all night to the charger with no results. If i put it in the freezer will it work?
Is it a 1000mA charger or smaller? I think it is too weak for your battery
But it was charging with no problems till now. And since it charges the old battery seems that the charger keeps working
simply my uni doesnt charge the orange lamp keep only blinking i tried all kind of chargers no use waiting for all masters

ok try to sync your uni with computer and see if it syncs... if not your usb port may be broken... if it does then that might be issue with battery... try another battery and see...
I assume from your description that the battery is completely dead?
The led will blink red if there is not enough charge to power on the device.
If the battery is this dead, the device will not charge it.
You will need to use a seperate charger to charge the battery enough for the bootloader to initialise.
The device can only charge your battery if it has a small amount of charge already.
It can not charge a completely drained battery.
I have a problem in Samsung omnia B 7610.When I plug in the charger to power source it displayed the battery is full. When I plug out the battery is low and uncharged.
it is charging normally via usb .but not able to charge via wall charger. please help
It's always possible your friend's charger was faulty, but in this case it probably has more to do with the battery getting fully discharged. Lithium Ion batteries PREFER not to be fully discharged and work their best when topped up frequently. However, unless your battery flatly refuses to charge, any strange abnormalities in battery life can probably be fixed by clearing the battery log.
please reply now .things have changed and i have updated thread now.
If battery is charged to 95% and i turn on 85% protection, and cable from charger is still connected - battery percentage do not drop down, and there is no loading indicator either. Is smartphone using only energy from charger bypassing battery?
?
Hi, my understanding is that the phone always use the battery, but I may be wrong. It's an interesting question. Did you wait enough time to confirm that battery wasn't dropping, in this condition?

Yes, no dropping, and no indicator that it is loading.
On menu diagnose phone said that charger cable is not connected.
(when turned on 85% prot after above 85)
Do this: when your battery is below 85% go to settings battery diagnose and check charging through cable.
Status will be normal.
Now disable 85% prot.
Charge to 88%.
Do not disconnect charging cable.
Enable 85% prot.
Battery status indicator will still look as not charging.
Again go to settings battery diagnose and check charging through cable.
You will see that it is not charging, but battery % will also not drop anymore when cable is connected.
