i wanna divert texts to another phone because trying to work an i mate jam when out on the piss is impossible but i have no idea how to do it any one know ??
As far as I am aware it's not possible to do what you're asking...certainly not at the moment. You can set up diverts on your phone calls in the phone / network settings, but the same does not apply to SMS, unfortunately.
Maybe this is an area where someone could develop an app - it's got some potential. Trouble is, I don't think there would then be a way to communicate the setting to O2 or whatever network provider the user is on through an XDA...so chances are you'll need to keep the phone on.

Forwarding SMS = Impossible
Hi,
There is no provision in the GSM standard to forward SMS from one service to another unfortunately.
Hello.
I hope someone undestand me.
I would like to install some software that identify a sms alert sent to my phone.
When my phone is turned off and someone call me, when i turn on my phone a sms alert is sent to me with a message telling: <NUMBER 000000> called you at <date>. I had installed a software that change the number for a name if I it was in my agenda. But I did a hardreset and i dont have any idea where I can find this software, and I dont know the software name. Please help...
Thanks so much.
There is no software like that, but there is a service like that. You can register that service from your mobile operator.
yeah programs cant access the phone network which is where sms's live when the phone is off
Ok, I see. I had this service registred in my operator.
I want a software to show me the name of the person that called me.
Its so hard explain in English
When someone call me and my phone is off, they send me a msg like it: YOU RECEIVED A CALL FROM 1230987667409 AT 07/04/2007.
So I want a software that check if i have this numbem in my agenda and show the name beside number, like it: YOU RECEIVED A CALL FROM (FABIO GAMER)1230987667409 AT 07/04/2007.
Was I clear? I dont think so, but please, try help me.
I found the software

I try Sending/Recieving MMS
but it cant
it ALWAYS FAILS
im using a 8125
I'll tell you what i tell most people. MMS's are problematic. not all networks support them coming from WM devices. I can't tell you if it's a solvable problem or not... but the most common one is the network/device...
A little more information please. Did you have problem with MMS ever since you got the phone or did it use to work then suddenly stopped working?
The simplest answer to that actually is that you're phone is not configured to you're home networks MMS settings. You can call your network provider and ask them how to configure your phone to receive/send MMS.
mmm I agree with Nir im afraid, MMS promised so much and delivered so little. Great if your sending one to someone on the same network in the same area, but crap if your sending to someone on different network or when they're roaming. MMS? pfftt.....
I know that doesnt help you, but just dont bother, email a photo from your device, thats what i do and at least you knwo they'll get it yh?
Of course, if you investigate this further with your network and get a good feedback or have a good solution, i'd be happy to hear it.

i think we all would Nir, but my networks have proved difficult in my experience..... why cant they all decide to use common software/hardware so MMS works across networks.... man that pisses me off
Hey there guys, I have a Samsung ACE (S5830) running Jusada's Ice Cream Sunday, which is based on the Cyanogenmod 7.
Android, as far as i know, has a problem related to sending/receiving MMS(at least i consider it a problem xD): you have to activate the data connection (i dont know if im calling it the right thing but i dont use the english version of android xD) to send or receive MMS.
Obviously, and as most of you must know, changing the default android APN solves this issue, and there are even countless market apps to do this.
I'm a user of one of those apps, APN Portugal, because its where i'm from xD on the stock rom, it worked as a charm, it blocked the internet connection but i could send and receive MMS, but that same app doesnt work with any cyanogen based ROM, this might be a really noob-ish way of interpreting the problem (because im still kind of a noob in android xD) but i think that somehow cyanogen is blocking the app and not letting it change the default MMS APN (im probably wrong here, please correct me xD).
Now, what i want is, does anyone know a way to fix this? so i dont have to activate and deactivate data everytime i want to send or receive an MMS?
Would changing the APN manually solve this? if so, how do i do that? xD
Edit: If it helps, my provider is Vodafone Portugal
Thanks in Advance

This is because on stock roms even if you shut down background data it turns it back on for a short time when sending or receiving an mms then turns it back off. CM based roms shut done the data connection completely and don't allow any apps to alter it. There is nothing that can be done unless the CM team changes it in their coding.
Native text app didn't allow me to send texts, using Google messenger app - I can send but still Can't Receive texts. I can get texts sometimes if the person is next to me... Any one have a solution?
Anyone found solution for can't receive texts - love my x2..
And want to use it as primary phone again, but need texting for my job. Any one found new solution?

Yo I got t-mobile service on my mediapad x2 texts are working fine, maybe check ur APN settings, and I have it sim slot 1
Thanks for reply
I have 703-L android 5.0
Last year: tried many texting apps, senior XDA member checked my APN settings, SIM in slot one (it worked in prior phone, and everything else working except receiving texts, once I moved the SIM to my new X2.
ANYONE:
I was curious if Marshmallow 6.0 upgrade could be a fix? or has a ROM come out that could fix this issue? Also wondering, should a non-developer, attempt rooting and adding ROMs? Or am I asking for trouble? I want to clean out garbage apps and have just a regular basic android OS! does anyone know X2 experts that can do these fixes (if so: contact details and costs if you know? I love this X2 phone and am willing to pay if someone can fix it.
Thank you in advance
Gary
If you have 2 Sim Cards for one phone number, SMS can only be received by one of them.
This can be changed by a phone call to t-mobile.
