Of all th roms the one i choose..?

Well, did read all the ROM-related stuff everywhere. Realised that as a fact of life, the last OFFICIAL Rom we're gonna see for beloved Prophet is 2.15.Something Dopod version. Is there any chance we can get something faster than that? Have anyone heard of something close to what i'm looking for?

did'nt u see the 2.20 qtek rom for the prophet?
i'm using it,and its good and i used to use the imate rom,2.13 i think?
give it a try. i found it to be reliable,fast,no extra programs in the extended rom(that could be arranged).

me the same, 2.20 from qtek, but it's a little old AKU 2.2 but its fast and stable, AND ORIGINAL from qtek

And the AKU 2.2.0 as there is now AKU 3.3.? The build version of windows mobile

I'm thinking of trying this rom...I have heard some people complain about the radio part of the rom though. I'm not sure if it was with this official Qtek rom or another one. I takes soooo long to reinstall all those apps though .

use back up software
try to use a back up soft ware like spb backup,it will really help

Is it worth going back to WM5?

I have Qtek 9100, SPL/IPL 2.26, Radio 2.19. Since upgrade to WM6 (3 different editions) I had nothing but glitches and bugs. I miss calls, my alarm not working anymore, OS is slow to name a few. I'm not sure I used anything of what WM6 is supposed to give me since I don't use GPRS on my phone and not sure what else WM6 is supposed to give me.
So I'd rather have stable but outdated OS then cutting edge OS which works only 80% of the time.
What exactly I'll be missing if I go back to WM6? And secondly what is most stable version of WM5 out there and recommended? I used Cingular before but it's locked my phone last time I used it so I'd rather not to go with brand locked by Carrier.

If you aren't sure what you will miss, then you probably won't miss much . To be honest WM6 is really more like WM5 SP2 (its not a major rewrite or anything). Personally I find WM6 faster than the original Cingular ROM.
For WM5, go try Faria's AKU 3.3 or maybe Molski's Crossbow add on. Both are stable and very fast. There are others that people really like too.

I have been using Duttys Roms since I got my Kaiser but have been unlucky with the last one.
So I thought I would try another but can't find a newish one where UK people have been posting.
So which Roms are Brits using ?

dcs v 1.7 by far the most stable tried pretty much all the others I am t mobile too

For Windows Mobile 6.1 features Sleuth 3.0 (WM6.1) Tried all other but don't have what I need and it's fairly fast! I'm on 3UK with Unlimited Internet and this is great for me.

Another good one is sleuths 1.2 rom. very fast and efficient on battery compared to his v3.0

Check the Mobile Vista ROM by Confused Stu, I find it very good.

I have used Dutty's Official WM6.1 5.2.19199 UC RTM full for a few weeks, and find it great, no issues, everything working out of the bag. Its missing voice dial which took a while to sort. Have also tried his 19716, but had a few issues like no mms.
Also i have used 3.02.405.0 (Radio 1.58.26.20) original WWE - it was fast but i had mms issues and did not bother trying to solve.
Next weekend i will flash NoThrills WM 6.1 WWE *English* V3 - The first ROM with the brand new OS build 19202! as it sounds good as well.
So far after every trial i end up going back to Dutty 19199 as it does everything i need and is very stable.
On Orange UK, slowly working through all the radios.

I'm on orange and am using qmobile 1.2.
Fast and stable. Not a whiff of any problems.

I'm with you - better than all the WM6.1 roms and stable as anything. I've kept it for ages and I'm a flashing freak
Using on O2 uk and Vodafone UK.

On T-mobile, flashed the No Thrills WWE version. Working great, with no issues for me.

i'm also using Stu's Mobile Vista which i've not had any problems with.

Also a serial flasher, but been on Dutty's Official WM6.1 5.2.19199 for a few weeks. Tried pretty much all of them and in general usage they are all stable. I found Q-Mobile 1.2 to be very good and like Schaps too - but staying with Dutty's (although might upgrade to the 23rd March release......)

Sleuth's V3.0 6.1 ROM - no issues at all, very happy with it.

I'm also usint Stu's Vista 1.1 Very stable and loads of packaged apps and games.

At time of writing Im using "Dutty's WM6.1 Official UC 5.2.19199 RTM" Rom along with WM6.1 Radio ver. 1.64.08.21. Radio seems to perform great and in the last 2 weeks of runnig the radio i've had one lost signal, however I've put that down to the Orange network being rubbish.

I have just got a Vario III this week, upgrade from my Vario II and was thinking about looking at ROM and Radio upgrades; do any of these ROMs work with t-mobile's Sky by Mobile? Everytime I've tried a non-T-Mobile ROM I've lost the ability to access my Sky by Mobile account. It's beena while since I've tried to fix the problem, does anyone know if the settings have been worked out yet?

I have just put confusedstu's vista 1.2 on and it seems pretty good but skype wont work. ( i only nee it for checking voicemails not for calling)

Hi all masters in the forum
I started this to learn more about all diferent radios existing for Uni, and to know from the ones with more knowledge wich has best signal, best batery consumption, etc.

For me the best radio version is 1.15.00, no crashes no signal lost, for the time with 1.18.00 i have a lot of problems, in one way it also depends and from mobile operator

1.18.00 also gave me nothing but trouble. 1.15.00 and 1.17.00 are by far more stable and crashed but a handful of times on me. That was on a WM 6.1 ROM though and I am not even sure if it really was due to the radio or main ROM. That said, I am not sure if any of the upgrades ever brought any increase in radio performance. The general advice here really is "if it ain't broken don't fix it" because there is (nearly) nothing to be gained.

I'm using radio 1.18.00 here with original T-Mobile UK WM5 from 2005 (3 years ago!). No problems whatsoever.

i just upgraded my uni to radio 1.18 n tomal v12 (my G4 /64mb uni) but sometime(much more) my uni hangup while open messages.

This is the same version as the latest official HTC ROM (RUU_Kaiser_DOPODASIA_WWE_3.29.707.0_radio_sign_25.83.40.02_1.65.16.25_Ship.exe).

What's the difference?
What can you notice as a significant difference to your device if any?​

This is not cooked so there is no diamond interface ect. No other diference that I can see, just a bit faster but untill its loaded with same UI as diamond cooked roms, cant compair. If i was a cook i would play with it. But i am a clankie so cant play with the magic electrical thingy. I am switching back back to L26 V9 for now.

VF=Vodafone

So it's not a new UK Vodafone specific radio then, just the same 1.65.16.25 as the HTC upgrade file. I think i'll give radio 1.65.20.29 a go first.
Not that bothered about this ROM otherwise. I'm running Ryncppr V6 today and it seems every bit as fast and stable as the official ROMs. Feel free to remonstrate with me if you are testing this ROM though
