Missing Storage of 7.6MB in my O2 xda II mini
I checked with my O2 xda II mini.
"Start" => "Settings" => "System" => "Memory" => "Storage Card".....missing....."Storage"......!!

It happened to me too, probably after bigstorage if u flash with another ROM, the storage disappear, no way to get it back, only with a bigstorage ROM.

Have you tried reflashing to a orginal rom again?? I went from bigstorage 1.11 to I-mate 1.12 and my storage went back to the orginal settings then I patch it to bigstorage again....... just a thought?...
I don't know, I tried a lot of roms and now for me there is no way to have the original storage back, with originals ROMs too, However I'm happy with my 1.12 wwe bigstorage!

It happened to me too!
I didn't play with any big storage rom, just the plain upgrade.
Everything was working fine for nearly a month and
this morning, my storage is gone!
HELP!!!!!!!
I got the same problem of missing storage in sytem.
before the disaster, my setting was
O2mini + I-mate 1.12 WWE + Bigstorage
then I flash my device with the latest 1.11 CHT rom (shipped rom). After the flashing finished, I found my "Storage" gone.
Anyone can help?
I finally got my storage back by using my backup in SD card (not bigstorage rom) to flash my machine
now my storage is back, I can change to other rom without problem.

I upgraded from a T-mobile Eng rom to a Chinese rom days ago. It took me about 4 days to fully understand and fully accomplish this task. There are tips I feel that I should share it with other rom upgrade dummies. You may be able to find out the solutions to the problems you encounter.
1, there are 2 ways to upgrade rom, namely, SD card way and non-SD card way. As the non-SD card way involves the changing country code issue, I chose to use the SD card way. BTW, the rom upgrade method in the sticky thread is the non-SD card way.
2, the ntrw.exe file in the upgrade folder in the FTP server does not function for me. I am using Windows XP sp2 and usb 2.0 SD card reader, which might be the reason to cause the incompatibility. Solution is easy: use the ntrw 2.0 version, which can be downloaded from the FTP as well.
3, if you don't know how to replace the first 416 bytes MANNUALLY, use the bytecopy tool. You will find the tool from the FTP.
4, the two CHS (chinese simplified) rom in the bigstorage folder in the FTP don't work for me. The only one that works is the O2 mini CHS rom in the "dumped rom" folder on the FTP, but this rom is not bigstorage. Therefore, we need to mannually create a bigstorage rom. 5, CAUTION: the SD-card upgrade method DOES have the possibility to destroy the SD card. My 1 gb sandisk SD card cannot be used anymore after I tried the rom upgrade 3 times.
6, don't worry about the rom size that you dump from your magician. The rom size vary from the size of the SD card you use to dump the rom. When I used a 256 MB SD card, the dumped rom size is 25x MB. When I used a 1 gb SD card (the destroyed one -.-), the dumped rom size is 9xx MB.
If you have any other questions about rom upgrade, let me know. I may be able to help from what I learn in my dummy upgrade experience.

My first exercise on ROM flashing

I am using WWE O2 mini. I have (kind-of) successfully done my first try on upgrading ROM as well. My final destiny is to upgrade to CHT BigStorage.
My first exercise was to get BigStorage on existing WWE ROM. It works on the memory side, but I lost all the O2 customization. I got a default WM2003SE. Can't use GPRS now. Do you have any ideal on how to put O2 customization back? I am currently restoring back to the original version.
I downloaded a CHT shipped ROM (CHT_11106_902_11100.zip) from XDA-Developer FTP. There isn't any nb1 file, but a couple of nbf files instead. Do you have any ideal how to flash this to the ROM?

To get your o2 mini ext rom back, you need to look for the o2 mini dumped rom. However, the rom available on the FTP is the mini 1.03, but not 1.12, so you might need to look for other sources for the newest rom.

Successfully change from WWE to CHT
Hurray! I have successfully flashed CHT to my O2 mini. I am using a traditional chinese device now!
Supprisingly! CHT uses lesser memory than WWE. I have 20.14MB Storage left for WWE after hardreset, but I am getting 21.04MB Storage left for CHT.
I am going to modify it to BigStorage....

Hey! I have successfully turned my new CHT O2 mini to Big Storage. The extra storage is similar to WWE version. Anyway, I am very happy now.
Is there a hack for 'large program memory, rather than 'big storage'? Or is it the same thing?

Program memory and storage memory is shared- BigStorage releases the previously unusable storage, therefore increasing program and storage memory.
Just use the slider to dedicate more memory to programs...although this auto adjusts itself as and when required.
Thanks that makes BIG storage worth trying. For now I got a only around 35 MB free, with all apps in storage folder and sd-card. Trying to move even more executables from ram to storage or sd. Works fine uptill now.

Will give a try, but apps like album and camera (both approximately 500K) saved me a lot of ram. I noticed that the default album and camera are in rom, so don't take any ram, though visibke in windiws folder.

BIG-storage try didn't work out. After the flash back of the changed (MKS method) rom, the device stays black and will only go into bootloader. This last saved my device I guess. I tried a restore with the original 1.13 shipped rom and got the device back. Unfortunately I lost my storage folder in this and ext-rom still exists. Is there a way to get the storage folder back? Even with ext-rom is acceptable.

Boot loader magician
OLTP, I had the same problem (only boot loader working and after reinstalling 113 storage gone ), I simply tried reinstalling again and got storage back. I also did a soft reset immediately after first boot after reinstalling 113, so before the programs in extended rom would install. This freed about 25MB working memory although extended rom is still -of course- not editable. I only installed the camera and ended up with a lean magician, and no GPRS bug.

Will give it another try. I think you mean you installed twice the 1.13 shipped rom? Cause I tried the SD flas twice with no result, a very dead and empty magician. I did do the soft-reset before the ext-rom would autoexec and that didn't help.
So olpnly question now is, did you do the SD flash twice or the upgrade with shipped 1.13 after the failed SD flash.

Ps. glad I am not the only one with this problem.
I tried the SD-method 3 times, then gave up, and then reinstalled T-Mobiles latest (1.13) rom. I had to use MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe to do this, by the way...., because the SD-flash had ruined the ID of my magician. It is still ruined, but at least my magician is alive and well.
Too bad, I tried the shipped rom for the third time now and still no storage. For the rest my magician is OK. Did not have to use the noid upgrade patch or anything like it. Though the shipped rom claims the device is empty. When I find a decent extracted rom I will try again.

If you backed up your Magician version before installing the Big Store, just restore the file you backed up.
If you didn't backup before Big Store, you will have to download a shipped ROM from the FTP site and install that. Do a search on "shipped ROMs".
Make sure you fill the \Storage with more than 7MB of data, otherwise you will have NO \Storage at all after reverting to the standard rom :-(.
On the FTP under magician there are loads of shipped-roms (EXE-FILES). In the wiki there's a discription under the magician how to update with such a shipped-rom.

i've just downloaded the WWE_O2_1.12.00 and O2Asia_CHT_1.12.920.
I've managed to install and flash my rom to the wwe_02.1.12.00 version.
but the o2asia_cht1.12.920 is runable. nothing happens when i click autorun. wen i do a hard reset, the ext rom is not installed.
Any idea hw can i install e ext rom so tat even after hard reset it will automatically run by itself?
i'm desperate guys... help!!

the stuff you get, I'm not sure how it looks like, list the contents here and someone may help you.
Anyway, if it is mostly in CABs, you would need to unlock your ext rom and copy everything into it.

Ok, it seems that you can't unlock ext rom for magician. You will have to flash it. I won't recommend you to doing that though, until you are very confident of yourself.
Anyway, for the stuff you want, just have everything copied into your phone/SD card, and run all the CABs there, it will install everything for you. Perform a backup using SBP Backup to get an EXE file that you can use everytime you perform a hard reset.
Again, Magician ext rom can only be written by flashing it. Read the forum, I might be wrong.

I found a solution:
Back to BigStora, fill bigstorage /storage with 8-10MB (over 7MB) of data.
Then flash to ShipRom. normal storage will be back
Actually u dont need to fill the storage memory just simply flash it with any shipped rom ( depending on which set u have if its imate use an imate rom and if its a Tmobile compact then use that rom ) it wil be just like new with no bigstorage or anything
