Please help. I don't see the mms account anymore after the BigStorage patch on my o2 mini, Rom 1.11.00WE. I search thru the post and looks like I need to add the mms..cab back? Is this correct? I have my previous rom backed up, but how I can extract the rom and get the file?

or simply download the mms cab file from the ftp.

If your Arcsoft MMS Composer version is 2.5, it also requires IA Caller ID. Without Caller ID you will not be able to use MMS in any way.
Install Caller ID than, or just downgrade MMS Comoser to 2.0

Hi, just before I launch into my first post, just like to say this forum has been an amazing source of info, I'm a new MDA compact owner and have already unlocked it, upgraded to the 1.12 ROM and applied the bigstorage patch, wow, it was actually quite easy.
My question relates to MMS functions and since upgrading and modding, I am unable to send or receive MMS on my compact. I have installed the Orange conract CAB files and I can browse the internet etc, just when I receive an MMS I get the text message telling me to go to the website and view it.
Anyone any ideas ?
Hi, Do you have a SPV M500 ? Can you tell me how you did to update it with rom Qtek or Imate ? Please...

give orange cs a ring, your mms is not enabled on your account, i bet its a new contract/sim yep??
Nope, its not a new SIM/Account, it works perfectly in another handset such as a K750i or Nokia 6680.

Its not an M500, its an MDA compact, we dont have the M500 in the UK yet. I wouldnt mind a copy of your M500 ROM though
It was pretty easy, downloaded the Qtek 1.12 rom, installed it on my laptop and it extracted itself into a temporary directory. I couldnt install straight away due to the country error so I copied the file MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe into the directory where the files were and ran that. About 20 mins later I had a brand new 1.12 rom installed with the new ROM and new RADIO etc.
I backed up the ROM using the romupdate.exe tool to my 256MB SD card, read it from the card using ntrw.exe , used hexeditor to change the appropriate strings and re-wrote it back to the card using ntrw.
Hard reset with the card installed , two mins later it asked me to press power to flash and about 15 mins later job done
I had an MDA compact with the Qtek 1.12 rom and radio and the big storage hack. I then picked what I wanted to install from the original t-mobile extended rom and job done, all done in less than an hour.
Fixed it, had to install the mms application from the extended ROM , works ok now.
If anyone wants a copy of the patched ROM, let me know and I'll upload it onto my ftp.

SIM Toolkit still doesnt work, but the ROM is still an excellent upgrade, seems to be faster, and has some new tools and functions that were not in 1.60C, works like a charm on my device.
Oh, and MMS Composer comes with it and works like a charm too

From my experience, this is usually casued by incomplete or incorrect MMS settings for your provider. Try sending yourself an MMS and change the different settings each time.

Removing programs
device hangs while removing programs
If i install any program it goes smoothly but when i try to remove any it will stay to days removing and in the end it will still continue removing.
Flashed 4 times in my device with no success of avoinding this flashed to a my friend device it is ok

i have installed the PDAMobiz 16 MB PagingPool Edition ROM. It is very great and fast but in Messaging are no MMS Options avaibel. I have tested a new installation of the rom, install the 12 MB Version ROM and install an other MP_Shortcut_MMS...cab but nothing help.
Can someone help me?
When i search on the storage for files with mms include in the name i find three files:
1 Windows\Help\MMS Composer.lnk
2 Windows\MMS Composer.htm
3 Windows\MMS Composer.lnk
When i open the third file i became an error:
The file ´MMS´ cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. You might need to reinstall or restore this file.
Here are so much peaplo who use this PDAMobiz ROM´s, are all these dont use MMS? I have now searched two days for finding an answer for this problem and hope someone have an answer for me.

Your problem is really extrange, I download the last Dopod ROM aku2.3, 3 times and always I can see the MMS setings. ¿?
My problem; also very extrange, I tryed more than 10 times to instal the 2.15.0001 ROM and I can't, It CID unlock and so on. I'm going to be cracy.
Did you tryed to dwnload the ROM again? I mean, made a HR and try to install again.

MMS settings missing
I also don't have anymore MMS settings, after upgrading to AKU2.3 PDAmobiz G4...
I tried everything- didnt help.
anyone has clue? btw. AKU2.3 is very very fast but not usable if MMS doesnt work :-(

Wonder if anyone had this issue already. I have a QTEK S200 which was originaly in german language. I have upgraded the ROM to get it in french.
Now, the MMS folder is missing . I have configured MMS correctly through the menu, but if I choose a GIF file or photo to and click " Send via MMS " nothing happens.
I have downloaded the file
RUU_Prophet_215738_2157127_023021_QTEK_FRE_Ship_NoVendorID.rar which I used for the ROM upgrade.
I also tried the newer version,
RUU_Prophet_220737_2207117_024721_QTEK_FRE_Ship.exe
but I was not able to use it as I got the error " INVALID VENDOR ID "
Is anybody out there who could let me have a newer ROM version that I could use , or otherwise tell me how to "activate" again the MMS folder.

I found the solution to my above question ;-)
In fact I did a hard reset ( as discribedd in one of the threads ) so COMM button + CAMERA button + SOFT RESET with stylus and then CALL button. After that the device rebooted and started to install missing parts .... just wonder why these parts were not installed in the first place ....hmmmm
Anyway, after that , my MMS folder appeared again aswell as a few other tools .
