Thanks. For some reason my office FTP didn't show the Upload directory and there were other files name in similar fashion. Got it now. Hopefully down grading will at least give me a device that's more stable. Thanks for you post.

You are welcome, Steve. I hope it works better for you. I am still playing around with 1.11. I have given up on MMS working for now and the rest seems fine most of the time and then I start having problems with GPRS connecting so I don't know what is going on. I tried sending an email to iMate and they referred me to Carrier Devices and it has been a week with no response from them. Since the 850 model is only for US I guess I don't understand why the rom can't be better tested on the only two GSM carriers in US. If I can find problems with it after using it for only a few hours you would think that the developers could also.

Exactly! Why is it so difficult for them to get this fixed. I mean, I've sent detailed e-mails to i-Mate explaining exaclty what happens and when. Shouldn't be that difficult for them.
Anyway, the "down-grading" went successfully to 1.06 and thus far (too early to tell just yet). I haven't had any issues. I didn't install any of the Carrirer settings but I did install the ExtROM programs. Placing calls and/or manually connecting/disconnecting to GPRS works like a charm.
Of course, I said that about 1.11 at some point and then it started acting up, but at least this moring when I got up it was still working. We'll see.

Well good news
i dont know how i did it .. but its working anyways
i upgraded my universal to "Jwrightmcps" wm6 and i was so happy with it. but then i was dying to watch TV on my mobile so i wanted to downgrade to the original WM5 (i got it from Imate official site)
but also no luck. it stuck in the middle of upgrading the Radio when i tried to restart it. it showed me error and took like ages to load saying NO GSM
then i played with the files from here and there and tried to reload any Windows mobile OS just to get my universal working. and guess what..
Its now WM6 with 3G
YES 3G
it shows on the operator name "UMTS Etisalat" and on the top bar it shows 3G instead of G.
so i believe its something needs to be played around with the new OS a bit more attention i believe.
now i have

Thats great ...... by really whats that got to do with being able to make a vidoe call
My current mobile provider have upgrade my sim card to 3G video call unlimited !!!
But after i upgraded my dopod900 to latest wm6.0, cant find the video call in it !!! wah............ cant try out the video call !!!

I have had a vox for over half a year now and I was using the new OS from HTC.
Recently I had to reflash my phone because it was having a number of issues. The enter key on the front keypad would not work. It would handomly turn the bluetooth on. The screen would not be bright while I was using it (the standy dim lighting).
The enter key on the slide out keyboard does work.
After the reflash everything worked great. Now I have used the phone for a week and this starts happening again. Sometimes restarting will get rid of these problems, but it still seems to be there.
I tried to update to Dr. Gonzo's 6.1 ROM, but I was unable to flash that one, I got an error saying the ROM is corrupt.
Do you think this may be a hardware problem?
Please let me know what you think,

which ROM are you currently using?
Did you USPL the device before flashing WM6.1 ROM?
that is a necessary step.
Let us know after you flash doc's ROM.

hey hey, I did read both of the supplied read me files, however I'm sure sure that the updates UPL/SPL updates worked correctly. There is one step that I am unsure about.

I will try it again tonight when I get home. I think it was the step where I had to run the *.bat file with all the promts...at the end the phone did not behave like it said in the read me so I think something may have gone wrong at that point.

File downloaded fine No problem with download.
I have had it for about an hour now and it does work great so far. I get a sat lock in less than a minute inside my home and in 20 seconds outside. Reminds me of 1.59.44.02 radio. I get same sat results.
battery consumption is still new to tell. I will post my finds in 12 hours.

I agree, it works great, cellphone reception, battery life, etc. all seem to work pretty well.

I've just got hold of a HD2 on T-mobile but it looks as though they've removed the youtube app from the phone.
Any ideas how I can get it back or get another youtube widget for the phone?

Thanks for the download link. I have been wondering how I could get the app on my phone. One thing though, when you into data services and try to login to the YouTube app it's just saying "connection error"
I've tried WiFi and through TMOB, both connections say the same.. Any idea's? I would like to login so I can see all my subscriptions etc.
you need to phone t-mobile customer services. they treat youtube as an over-18 website and is hence restricted. phone them up and request they enable access - i think theyll ask your date of birth, if u 18 or over, then they will enable access.
That's mad. Surely they know I'm over 18, I just upgraded my contract with them when you have to over 18 for...

Just logged on to my T-mobile account and content log is removed.
I installed this on my tmobile (UK) HD2 and it stopped videos from playing! When I uninstalled it, they started working again. Any ideas how to fix this?

gents gents relax.what you need to do is go to m.google.com/youtube by using the internet explorer on your phone (will not work with opera or skyfire). after installation you should now have the working youtube app and the ability to watch your mp4s via the sense video player
alternatively you can update to a new official or cooked rom via hspl. I was like you guys until a few weeks ago and trust me once I started flashing my phone I've never looked back

don't worry fella, I was ****ting myself at first as well but it really is a piece of piss, only takes a few minutes. check out the stickys on the rom section and you should be fine. they also have some youtube links there as well which I found really useful
as for which roms, id start of with an official update then move onto duttys rom

Who here has the XDApp lite working?
I have it cooked into my ROM and it will never work, ever. It tries to connect, gives it three attempts and quits. I'm envious to all Android OS owners who have it up and running on their devices.
Does anyone have it working on their windows mobile phones and if so have a .cab file? Or even a fix? Any help or advice is appreciated

what skin for the board are you using on your computer if your using the beta skin switch it to the other skin then try to login on the XDApp lite application because i was having the same problem as you & asked around for some help with this and somebody suggested this & i tried it and it worked for me hope this helps

Two things:
1.) Yes I am using the default skin. Do you know where to find other ones?
2.) When I find said skins how can I change it? Because I don't know where to find my data for that app, because as I said, it's cooked into the ROM.

no not on your phone im talking about on your computer scroll all the way down to the bottom of the screen & on the left hand side should be a drop down menu click on it and it should say Quick Style Chooser with 2 skins to chose from 1 being the default skin & the other being the beta skin make sure you are using the default skin then on your phone try to login again to see if it works this worked for me
Nothing, I tried twice. I don't know what could possibly be the problem. I'm going to try to change the layout on my cellphone to see if that might fix it.

I Tested It On Data Connection & It Still Worked Fine For Me
So I Did Some Digging Around To Try & Find The Info I Was Telling You About & Guess What I Found It And I Was Telling You The Wrong Procedure I'm So Sorry About That I Was Right About Changing The Skin But Was Wrong About Where To Change It At

Here Are The Steps I Did And It Worked For Me The First Time I Tried It
Remember All This Is To Be Done On Your Computer Not Your Phone
1.Click On User CP
2.Click On Edit Options
3.Scroll All The Way Down To The Bottom Of The Page & You Will See Forum Skin Choose Xda-Dev Custom Template As The Skin Then Save Your Changes
4.Logout Then Log Back In
5.Now On Your Phone Try To Log In To XDApp Lite All Should Be Good Now If Not Then IDK Because This Worked For Me

I did exactly what you suggested and it worked. I wish it was alittle more user friendly, like having a search function and a my posts location but overall I am happy with it

Maybe someone else can pick up on this project and make it more user friendly haha I have no programming skills seeing as I'm 17 and the only C++ I know was a 10 year old curriculum I took in high school last year So I can't...but it'd be nice to see someone else take this up and make it better than it already is
