My Jam stopped half way through the upgrade. Now it shows USB V1.00 when connected. But on retrying the upgrade it gives country ID error. Somebody please help as I have important file on Storage that I forgot to backup.
With an interrupted upgrade, the files are already gone. what you now need to do is ensure that you have disabled the usb connection in activesync, remove and reconnect the usb connection and retry the upgrade.
Finally If you have an imate ROM and you are installingthe imate ROM upgrade, there is no reason why you should have a country code problem.

I am having problems with upgrading my xda2 when i put the xda2 onto bootloader mode i get the serial come up and then connect to pc changes to usb the prob occurs when i luanch the progarm for upgrade and i get the probs of the usb words on screen go blank and after a while says the upgarde wasnt possible and the device didnt connect properly coudl you plse help me on the solution to this prob. I have doen upgrades b4
but nothing like this prob has occured before.Thanks in advance
Everytime I connect my PC to the phone via USB cable, I get a message from XP saying,
"USB Device Not Recognized. One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it."
Activesync never goes green and I can't flash my phone to a more stable ROM. I just got my TILT 2 days ago and really don't want to be stuck with such a slow ROM. I flashed the phone to the HTC AKU bigstorage ROM before this and everything worked fine. It's just when I tried to flash to the AT&T Rom did I run into this problem.
Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.
Have you tried rebooting your PC?
If rebooting the PC doesn't do it you may need to completely re install activesync itself. Worked for me....
I reinstalled activesync and now it works.
BTW, is there a way to stop Activesync blinking my programs in and out from being selected on my PC?
setting -> connections ->usb to pc -> uncheck a mark. this should help.
the best idea - change rom to htc, faster, more relible, no sync problems.

I was trying to upgrade my imate jasjar to 3.2 thingonaspring.5.2.1933.18533.REALVGA. However in the middle of the proccess it gave an error.... The title of the Ruu says it is "error 260". I fallowed the stpes as the program says. (1st disconnect and hard reset and reconnect).
I recieved the screen saying USB on the top and v0.60 on the bottom... however whenever i press next the RUU stops responding... So i can not recover :S:S:S
I am using vista ultimate on my PC

first restart your computer, than upgrade your Bootloader (attached) and than put device in Bootloader again and when you see usb run upgrade again.
I now get a connection error (error 101). i have checked my connections and they re all fine... Vista recognizes the device as Microsoft USB Sync... and it says "usb" instead of "serail" on the pda screen. However , i got an connection error

Hi, for few days when I installed first modified ROM into my TP i noticed that I have problem with connection and synchronisation. When I connect device via USB and set sync pda is connecting and disconnecting. The same problem with connectin via storage. I don't know why I can't establish connection via USB and BT ... I tried few differend ROMs, differend RadioROMs and it didn't help. I checked connections options, tried HR after updating new ROM and nothing helped ... Is this problem possible because of updating HardSPL? I didn't notice that problem when I had oem ROM, because I haven't got usb cable. FYI i tried 4 ROM from Energy and one PROven ROM by qsqa (PLK rom). Could someone help me?
PS: I don't have problem with charging my device and option 'charge when connected to PC' is on.
May be the problem in your PC, try download fresh ActiveSync (XP or older) or Windows Mobile Device Center (Vista or newer) from Microsoft site, then install it..

hi, im new here and i have a problem connecting my spv c600 to my pc(windows xp) via usb. every time i connect my device the detects at first but then says "a problem occurred during installation your new hardware might not work properly" i have activesync 4.5 installed but it does not detect the device. i wonder if there is a free driver i could download to sort the problem. please help because i want to upgrade my rom
try using another usb but similar, maybe the problem of your usb cable !!!
