Sunnysoft Backup Manager.
Does what it needs to do.
I use it for FULL backups to be able to revert quickly to previous setup or recover fast from hard reset.
It is able to create self-executable backup files.
Sprite Back-up. Install it and forget it.
Restores superbly from executable back-up file.
Has saved me a few times and I wouldn't be without it.
hey guys any backup software which actually saves ur backup on the desktop pc and then restore it from the desktop pc itself ??
sprite backup (Y) AWESOME !! thats the one i was loookin for (Y)

Can Sprite backup SMS?
it didnt restore sms' messages wen i performed a hard reset... :s
How affective is using activesync for backups?
i used to use the activesync backup option but then had a few data curruptions
i now backup to my sd card using the xbackup program that came with the device.
it seems to restore my sms files aswell
xbackup restore
I did a xbackup on my device and then I went for the upgrade to the official final version UK O2 1.72.81 with Blackberry. Everything went smoothly but after the restore backup (it even restored sms, mms and e-mails, in short, the lot!) now my device is back in the original configuration although I now have Rom version 1.72.00WWE instead of the old 1.60.00WWE.
Is there an other way to restore a backup? I don't care about SMS MMS and stuff, I only want to keep settings as BT GPS, Internet GPRS settings, tt3 Navigator settings and so on. Contacts and Agenda are stored on the PC anyway. And I wanna use the Blackberry which was on it after the upgrade but is gone after the restore.
Or should I simply re flash the ROM and reenter all data for settings manually?
Thanks for helping

Hey guys, I'd like to know if any of you have come across a PC-based solution that will backup all of the data on my T-Mobile MDA (HTC Wizard)? What I'm looking for is a solution similar to PIMBackup, so that I can easily reflash and then restore all my SMS messages, appointments, contacts etc to the fresh ROM.
I ask because my SD card died a couple of days ago, so I'm unable to copy information off to that, and it's probably going to be around a week for the replacement, but I'm really, really unhappy with the current ROM.
Thanks,
Rich
Okay, I had an idea I figure should work, just for anyone that may find this useful:
Install PIMBackup to the device's internal memory, and backup to My Documents on the device.
Connect to the PC, and copy across the backup file.
Reflash the ROM.
Install PIMBackup onto the newly flashed device's internal memory.
Copy the backup back onto the internal memory.
Restore the backup.
Its that kinda jumping through hoops that I avoided having a flash card I guess.
I maybe mistaken but isnt there a backup option somewhere in active sync to back up your whole phone and if so where is it located
huh? backup where.. on your PPC?
backup a copy of your ppc to your computer
I am transferring my files from one computer to another, i would like my windows phone to also transfer its sync relationship with the new computer... but would i still be able to use the backup from my old computer??
If i place the back up file in the new computer's directory, would it be recognized??
Thanks
When you say backup do you mean a backup of the application/games data or a backup of your phone (made with the phone backup tool)?
Both of those should still work if you a copy them across to a new PC.
by backup i meant when you are updating ur phone OS, the backup that it produces. I havent used the backup tool yet
I am afraid that if i sync with another computer it wont recognize that backup.... as it could be computer specific...
Has anyone actually tried this?
