Can anyone registered user of the xcpuscalar share version 2.85d?
i talk with the creators of this application and he told me: we know the problem with the qtek s100 ( freeze when you open the app) and we have make newer version ONLY FOR REGISTERED USERS and will realease in few days for all and for trial (new version named 2.85d)
I need this too. The current trial version locks my ppc up.
2.85d works great. This way the Jam can be sped up up to 728 MHz. Doesn't feel blazing fast though. Whereas the lowest option (104 MHz) feels a lil' to slow. But the auto-adapt option is kewl.
yes i know all that!!! but who can share with us this version??? i dont care if its trial!! just i want the 2.85d to test it on my jam

THX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YOU ARE MASTER MY FRIEND I WILL PUT the file ( all installer with 2.85d modificated ) on ftp server
here it is the version for magician
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Magician/XCPUSCALAR_FOR_MAGICIAN/tron_GREECE/
all credits go to chatty
Can someone else do a verification to see if this version really could overclock the magician?
I try both 520 and 624 setting. While Xcpuscaler show a "correct" value but Beta Player always report it's only 416mzh and the benchmark value proves no improvement w/ Xcpuscaler
But underclock of Xcpuscaler does work
To be honest, I also only 'feel' the slow down of underclocking. When overclocking there is no perfomance boost noticeable... Maybe that's how the developer stopped it from crashing...
Maybe that's why this version never get public release.....
chatty is it possible to send me the file or to give me a link .. [email protected]
It's a shame, if this d-build turns out to be a fake, directly from the developer.
It's also a shame that we have someone in here watching us and deleting all files on hot topics. Both this and the ROM upgrades are being deleted right away. Isn't it possible for the owner of this board to find the IP of the deleter and ban him?
How about using the direct link I stated?
i really think that the program fooling us
i test it with sisoftware sandra 2005 and tha cpu bench arithmetic shows the same results with the 416mhz default...
its a same!......
pocket hack master does work for o/c but not very stable.

Dear All,
As per title, any body know how to overclock over 624mhz speed, and also stable for our Uni ?
I use XCPUScalar & Pocket Hack Master to overclock to 663 or more higher, my Uni will always hang. Any guys have sort the problem ?
Thank in advanced !

My Jasjar hangs at any speed over default...
So you are not alone...
In fact I have reached only the 630Mhz speed with G4,stable
And the default 520Mhz with G3.
I am doing some Benchmark tests and comparisons with G3,G4.
As I finish I will post the results on the G3 AND G4 DIFFERENCES post.
I saw other forum, they have direct overclock at the ROM, not to use third party software to tweak it....but is Asus PDA Phone

Yes, try it before. But always white screen and hangs....
well with jwrites 2.10.08 n new DFT release overcloking works gud in g3 device of mine with no hangs !
touching wood and all that, I have started overclocking my G3 , Ranju wm 6.1 and it flies....no reset, no nothing...it just flies. so far iot is only 1 day, full usage of pohone , calendar and office...
I have noticed a slightly higher battery consumption but I am not sure.
Ranju vers 7.1 has an appl that allows the overclocking
hi all -
i have seen alot of the custom roms advertize with "1ghz hack" - i like the stock 1.66 new rom but is there anyway the 1ghz hack can be made into a cab to be installed?
thanks
what is the "1 ghz hack" exactly doing?
from what I can understand,
the phone is capped below 1ghz somewhere around 700mhz, and the rom will make it go all the way up to 1ghz.
as if this info is true or not, I dont know. maybe someone else can shed some light

is your phone to slow ?
I've not come across this '1GHz hack'. I understand however that the HD2 automagically underclocks itself when it's not being used / has low battery, to save power.
While any resource-intensive application is running, the HD2 should run at full speed.
Hello
I read a lot about that, and even there is a cooked rom with title 1 GHz hack
but
I don't read any thread about "how to calculate Qualcom speed", or a an app prove that this rom has 1 GHz hack
with 3D Driver Patch we have a proof by simple app
I appreciate any one can guide us to that 1 GHz hack
but until that, I satisfied there is no 1 GHz hack
Well
I tried the 1ghz rom and it def is a lot faster with some things.
Benching the CPU gets approx 5 - 10% on the pure CPU marks.
Disk was only average. The biggest diff I noticed was launching TomTom took a flat 2 seconds where most roms are around the 3.5 seconds.
Very interested to see this in other roms.

ok, great things, but this is tweaked things, we are talking about hacking from 700 Mhz to 1 Ghz about 50% increasing in speed, can you calculate the maximum CPU clock speed before and after this rom ??
that is what I talk about
I think its in the msm_clk.dll
Im a big noob so thats all i now ...
Just an idea:
Is it simply the fact, that the hack forces the device to always stay in 1GHz-Mode? Thinking about Desktop-CPUs they're "faster" too if you disable speedstep. If that's true you should notice a remarkable loss in battery life too.
From what I have read
On boot the CPU sits at around 1 ghz.
Once it has finished booting it tends to only hover around the 400 to 700mhz range. This is normal powersaving.
Thats why if you use coreplayer straight after a boot it will bench faster than after half an hour (Not personally tested)
The hack supposedly encourages the CPU to hover around the 400-1000ghz range.
Also its not a cab able thing, Needs to be built into the Rom as its a locked windows file.
Again, This is what I have heard. For such a great thing its not easy to pin down. Will re-flash with the Rom and test again. Will post actual bench marks.

not true, because that is make the rom has a battery drain issue, and there is no report about it
Where can i find this hack?
--- nobody ?
It's just a hoax.
As mnet stated:
"This rumor was started single-handedly by kholk in order to promote his ROM. See this thread.
He provided ZERO evidence that HTC is lying and that the HD2 is not really clocked at 1GHZ
Then he posts a hack that has been confirmed fake.
I can't believe someone would spread so much misinformation just to promote a ROM."
For all the story, just check this thread:

run smoother because of the available graphics on the phone.
any recommendations?
p.s. only DONUT rom no eclair thanks!

Donut roms:
BlueMagic (27,7 fps with neocore benchmark - sound off, 24,3FPS with sound)
SuperCSDI probably about the same (BlueMagic is based on that)
FastTest gaming edition
SuperD without ramhack is slooow in comparison to those.
not shure about wgarner's kernel.
The very best would be vodafone magic 32b... but its cupcake.

JIT makes the apps open and operate something like 3x faster (I think) but is still very buggy and can cause some FC errors from what I have read and is far from stable as of yet.
But if your games are still not playing properly on the suggested roms then a possible solution but be prepared for a few hiccups.

Super D 1.9.3 Non Ram Hack Ver. is definitely the one to get if you're into gaming.
Im running it now even though I have no major android games running but notice the emulators (nes,gb,gba) run more smoother and less lag.
Take chances and install that Rom and you will be set.

Not true.
If anything, it makes Java parts faster. But 3D-games are mostly C anyway.
Plus JIT uses up more RAM what is desperately needed on our phones...
So no increase here. rather the other way round imho...
/edit: I'd love to have a benchmark table.
please benchmark superD, Cyanogen, SuperCSDI and Fasttest.
Also some older builds maybe....

Setcpu or overclock widget from this board/from market.
I've got 28.3 fps with airplanemode without sound on blue magic.
But i doubt that those are realistic gaming speeds. firstly there is no input. Input needs to be handeled what costs speed. Plus its a heavily optimized demo by qualcomm. I mean come on... they want to prove that their chips are worth buying... no game designer has enough time to get it running as fast as this one minute demo...

Hi there,
A little cross-post from a post I made on Hero CDMA thread, as this patch applies to many android devices
Overclocking msm7k has been supported on wince devices' linux port for a long time now. (months for msm720xa, and maybe even more for 720x and 750x, I haven't see the details). So it's the same idea that has been implemented here.
Making it work was more difficult than for wince devices, because the radio software is way too clever on android. Still, we got past this difficulty, and it works.
It's actually even better than what ToAsTcfh actually got, he posted only older results which were bottlenecked at 620MHz, now this patch provide users with a 710MHz frequency.
And it should work for all msm7x0xa devices. (so that makes almost double speed for stock G1 ).
For people who wants even more overclocking, you can change the values:
the writel(0x25, ......) line,
This value is the multiplier from 19.2MHz to cpu frequency, 19.2MHz*0x25=710.4MHz
You can change it to whatever value you want, but the higher limit seems to be around 750MHz.
If you want to play with mem values, edit the line:
Code:
{ 528000, ACPU_PLL_2, 2, 1, 132000, 3, VDD_7, 160000, 0, 5, -1 },
Change the 3 after 132000, it's the divisor of memory compared to cpu frequency, -1 (with default settings, it's 132MHz=528MHz/(3+1)
The patch is attached, and also available at http://htcandroid.xland.cz/oc.diff.txt
Now the credits, thanks to bzo for the idea, and the implementation on wince devices, and thanks ToAsTcfh for the tests (it really needed a lot of time, even if the patch looks damn simple now, stupid radio software!), and for making me remember he exists.
Basically, all devices from HTC from before 2009 should be supported (all versions of G1, G2, G3), LG GW620, samsung galaxy, and many others.
To noobs: To get this patch working, you need to build the linux kernel for your phone. Basically, wait for you rom modder to do it.
Has anybody tried this with the Huawei U8220 aka T-Mobile Pulse?
It's not from HTC and manufactured after 2009, but the kernel source looks "patchable".

Yes, you need to compile the kernel.
somebody who tast it with touch diamond
did somebody overclock his touch diamond GSM im lil bit scared to make go of it :S
danks for help
i am running my touch diamond (diam100) on 633MHz very stable. I get SOD approximately every second day, but i don't know what causes this. So now i am testing at stock CPU ratio to see if SOD still appear.
Interesting thing is, that i got much more SOD wit lower frequenzies, such as 614Mhz and 594MHz. So 633MHz is very stable and the rare SOD would be ok for me.
Thanks to the great developers!
I am currently using FRX05
so do I just put this "oc.diff.txt" on the root of my sdhc or what is process of implementation? Thanks
Is there a ROM out there for the Diamond that I can use?
I'm using andboot and the only thing I'm good at is changing the "system.ext2" file...
Building a linux kernel is a bit out of my league.
Thanks for sharing , it's very helpful.
Ok so I dont know much about phones. I was thinking about buying a new phone the other day so I started researching about rooting just to give it a try since I was already planning buying a new phone anyway. I rooted my EVO with the unrevoked website and a came a cross CyanogenMod7. It took me a while to figure it out how to install CM7. Well, finally got it installed. I was reading doing some more research and came across SetCPU. I overlocked the phone with it.
-SetUPC long benchmark test it saying that benchmark took 441ms.
-Linpack for androids shows: MFLOPS 40.246
Time 2.08 seconds
-Quadrant full bench is 1324 the second line from the top down.
What does those numbers mean? Are those good or bad?
Thanks in advance for the help. And if those are dumb questions I apologize in advance too.
A lot of people say benchmarks don't really mean much but as far as numbers, yours don't sound bad. Just fyi, you don't need setCPU since you're already running CM7. If you go to cyanogenmod settings>performance you can set you min/max CPU speed. I've heard that using setCPU can cause conflicts with the cyanogenmod settings. Hope this helps!

the FLOPS determines the capacity of your device ("flotant operations in one second" MORE OR LESS THIS IS THE TRANSLATION my native languaje is spanish, sorry)
1 MFLOPS= 1.000.000 FLOPS
and linpack is the tipe of test that determines this flops
those operations consists in send and receive information packs..
and seen "Quadrant full bench is 1324" i can tell you that you have a very good rate in the table of power of devices... (devices that have only one core at 1 ghz more or less because optimus 2x has 4410 in quadrant power!!!!)
the quadrant rate its obtained with a test named benchmark
ei mate!! it´s not a dumb question...
only hard for answer in a few words
