Hi,
Is there any easy way of adding a new contact from the phone app when someone has called me?
I cant see any way of copy/pasting the number or any selection that allows a direct 'add to contacts'.

The easiest way is to press the Call History button, tap and hold the the number you want, and tap the Save to Contacts selection.
That's it.

I want to add a number from Call History to one of my existing contacts (i.e, add to home telephone of an existing contact)
However, when hold and tap number in Call History, it open a new contact instead of letting us choose an existing contact
Any program that can let us do that

There isn't any way around this, though maybe there will be in WM2005 or through a third party program.
It's something that annoys me, too. The way round it is to get it up as a New contact, then copy the number and cancel saving the contact, go to the correct contact and add it that way.
Bit long winded, but other than writing it down by hand or remembering it I don't think there's any other way.

Hey Guys..
Simple trick....
Tap and hold the number in the call history
Then select option "Send Text Message"
Then copy/cut that Number and paste in the contacts
Then cancel the message

Many thanks, but my MDA just show 'copy' &'select all' while tap and hold into single sms. I found 'Delete' option under 'Menu' soft key. Problem solved.
Threaded sms weakness
Appealing as it seems, threaded mode has the weakness that you cannot move the individual messages around. In my experience, you cannot even save a thread into a folder for future reference. So I have abandoned threaded mode for text messaging.

Is there a way to get WM6 to ask you if you want to save a number to contacts when you dial or receive a call from a number that isn't already in there?
I've had a bit of a search, but can't find any relevant info!
in the call history list, you can click to get the option to save the number into a contact (existing or new). but it's not a automatic prompt like you're requesting.
Thanks. I knew I could do that, it's just my old Sony Ericsson used to do this and I found it quite a useful feature. Does anyone know if there are any programmes that will do this?

When I type a number in iDialer and press the new contact button I get to the standard WM6 form for a new contact with the number already filled in. The problem is that I cant find a way to save that new contact, since there's no "OK" button or something..
Also I'd prefer a application to create a new contact, because the standard form is to tiny and there are too many fields u dont need anyway..

Is it possible to get rid of or hide the favourite friends page when I move my TF3D slider to contacts? Everytime I want to call someone I have to click 'show all contacts' on the contacts tab. It would be so much easier if it can just go onto my contact list straight away.

Hi,
Although not answering your question directly, did you know you can start typing the name of the person you want in the dialler and it will drill down the list of contacts until you get to the one you want. It also works if you start putting the numbers in. Very clever.
