Guys,
Couple days ago I sold my PDA2K, now I'm totaly lost :?
What should I get????? In my signature you'd see what I had from handsets.. There's still the JAM and the XDAIIi..
I saw today the Nokia 9500, I kinda like it, but in a way I don't wanna revert back to nokia mobiles.
In Lebanon we don't have the XDAIIi yet since Imate didn't release it, thus I never liked the Magician, too small for a pocket pc.
So, tell me your opinions..
Thanks in advance.
MDA IV......?
I wait MDA/XDA IV.........
Well MDA IV could be the right one but we have to wait until the summer

Well at last, looks like the makers of all previous incarnations of the XDA (XDA1 to XDA2i an 2s as marketed in the UK) are ready to release this to the world later this year, so I reckon this is the proof that many of us suspected anyway, this will be the XDA3! I guess this also means that we are never gonna get upgraded officially to WM2005 on the 2i or 2s.........hey ho....2003se seems ok so far.

Already announced as the MDA IV too - so the question is, will O2 call it the XDA IV or confuse the easily confused by having a IIi and a III?
I think O2 deliberately held off using the '3' so that they could use it on the first 3g device.
It would make a good name - XDA 3G
looks good..but
the only problem i think i will have is the thickness of it as it has a keyboard and prom the pix it looks pretty fat to be honest. also any1 no exactly when it comes out?..thinking of getting one
tried one of them 2 weeks ago - and it is really big!
bigger than the Blue Angel - and for me as a MDA Compact fan, just not the right device.
I don't want to have a small laptop with build in UMTS.
I want to have a mobile device like the Compact, with a video cam and build in UMTS.
The keyborad and additional space is just grap.
Just take a look at the number of sold Blue Angels vs Compacts/minis - the rate at T-Mobile is 1:4
1:4 it's just the ratio of people that need wifi on their usual day of work vs the ones who don't need it and are happy with something sticking out of their magicians...
XDA3 - MDA4 Unversal etc
Spoke to a contact at at o2 in the UK, and he reckons they aint gonna get the universal...............no idea why as they carry the X phone which is 3G, maybe a licensing issue in the UK, now that Vodaphone - Orange etc have jumped on the bandwagon and stolen o2's thunder in the last year or so....Its a great shame as without the foresight of o2, many XDA users wouldnt have been able to get one in the UK............................Come on o2, sort it, I hate orange and vodafone!
the whole reason O2 messed with the XDA II IIi IIs names is so the XDA4 would be called the XDA3 here, for 3G.
they WILL release it.
Just reallllllly laaaaaate.

no it won't. if me sources are correct, they will imate to market.
if o2 dont carry it then cant people just buy the imate or qtek versions they are as a rule not locked at least my qteks never were then people can put in their o2 sim and all will be well
well I am delighted to have been mis informed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
looks like the xda3 (named EXEC) will happen in the uk from o2! sometime in September
PS Thanks to pjcltd and his info!
I have had my XDA2i for just over a year now, but had it replaced just before the contract was up under the warrenty. I have just got a new wizzard from o2 on another years contract, I now stuck on which one to sell and which one to keep.
The wizzard has a smaller screen & slower CPU but wm2005.
The XDA2i is bigger & is WM 2003SE but seems a lot faster.
is there much diffrence between 2003 & 2005.
Apart from that i can't see much else between them, can any post some suggestion on which they would keep & why ?
Cheers
Thanking you in advanced
Im using XDA 2i and felt sad about there's no WM5 upgrade and no extended rom unlocker yet. Hope will be available one day.
Yes Xda 2i working fast, I really felt it and I never had any problem even playing heavy games.
Hope someone expert about WM5/WM2003SE can explain more at here.
thanks
Hello. I had an exec for a period of time but felt it too big. I switched it for an ipaq 6915 which is broken and im due for an upgrade. Im on O2 and would like to stay with them.
Is the Orbit any good ? Should I wait for the Zinc ? Im not to bothered about 3g video calling but functionaliy must be good. What is the Orbit like for day to day use. ???
Ok, so yesterday my screen on my MDA cracked, and its done.. so I need a new phone.
I have T-Mobile
...so what are some good phones that work with it.
I'm still looking for that windows mobile type thing (where i can put my own games and ringtones on at least.. then programs after that).
Something cool, ya know.
So, I saw the T-Mobile shadow, looks interesting. I don't know how good it is, what do you guys think.. like is it fast enough. (the MDA was really slow).
OR, should I just wait til the MDA compact 4 drops, and just use a free phone until then?
OR do you guys know any other good phones for me?
Thanks
Hi, looking to get a PDA after not having one for 2-3 years. I used to have a polaris and before that a wizard so I want to know which to consider to get now.
I would ideally like one with slide qwerty, but not particularly bothered.
I have trawled the net but all too confusing , so many out there now.lol.
I would spend up to £180 second hand. I know they all have their niggles , so what is a good all rounder that can be customised with roms and the like?
I used to flash and flash my old one's with allsorts of roms. Been to iphone and got bored of that so I am off back to the old trusty PDA.
What would you guys recommend??????
Cheers all!!

Hi, I need one with GPS built in ideally. I know the kaiser has it built in does the touch pro 2?
Which one has better customability? As in custom roms etc......
Was touching on kaiser myself but was thinking maybe a bit slow now, which would be the same allrounder with gps and rom cooking?
Thanks.

good luck with your new toy.
Hi, Ahh, bit of a development, I got the Kaiser , then I got what I thought was the deal I could not refuse.
I got a brand new HTC touch 2 pro for £230, so now I have 2 PDA's when I only wanted one.....arrrggghhh.
I presume this is a good deal and worth keeping over the Kaiser?
What would you guys do?
The Kaiser is for sale if wanted by anyone. (If pro 2 any good)
P.s Why is the kaiser sim unlock free, but htc touch pro 2 isn't????????
thanks.
Stu.
I'd keep both the TP2 is a far superior device than Kaiser but keep the Kaiser as back up, b.t.w the price you got TP2 for is awesome
If you want to compare the specs Device Database @ top of forum will show you how much better TP2 is
