SPB pocket plus 2.5 upgrade - General Topics

Does anyone experience hanging after clicking on the "feature options" of "Today Plug-In"? I tried downgrading from my previews ver 2.2 and the problem persist... Which i never had this problem before. This is very annoying....
Also they haven't fixed the SMS issue yet on this version. You still have to exclude the tmail.exe. Where's the product development here?
Oh well

I have experienced the same problem just have to remember not to use the today screen shortcut to settings as it only seems to happen when you use that, you are right you do have to exclude the sms everytime.

error i think
for me i think the reason it hangs its because when u installed the new version, u retored the backuped settings of the old version.. thats my experince with spb pocket plus.. u have to create ur new settings from 2.5 and backup that. and restoring it wont hang anymore. i can't assure u thats the reason but for me it worked!

nope, i didn't restore from my old backup... some bug i guess

Same Problem Too
Experience the same problem on XDA IIs with a clean install of SPB P+ 2.5 only when using P+ to access Today setting screen.
Obviously a bug in the program.

This problem is caused by any today plug-in which is not prepared for WM2003SE. Try to uncheck all not built plug-ins except Pocket Plus.
Regards
Darek

Hmmmm this is odd... if i click on the today settings/ Items/ Pocket Plus/ Options and i configure my settings there.. then exit, it doesn't hang..
But if i configure my settings from the "Spb Pocket Plus Settings menu" it hangs again.
At least i know where to edit it now.

SPB Pocket Plus and intelipad

Hi everyone
i am using an XDA2 that has been upgraded to WM2003SE. However, the programs seem to clash. Especially SPB Pocket Plus and intellipad. Anyone has a solution to this? Upgrading to Pocket Plus 2.5 didn't help a bit.
thanks.
Thats unusual. Ive been running wm03se for 2 weeks now w/ PocketPlus 2.0 and Intellipad v.1 build 17286 and they all run harmoniously. They even co-exist w/ Darek's nifty today plugin. What ROM version are you using?
My ROM version are the same as yours
everytime i select intelipad when replying text msgs, it goes to the default Block recognizer.
Also, my msgs are auto erased everytime i switched from "Deleted Items" to "Inbox" and I can't view any msgs in "Deleted Items", "Sent Items" and "Drafts"
any one can enlighten me?
FYI only, not sure you guys encounter this problem.
Using WM2003SE, loaded SPB Pocket Plus.
Everytime, when i send an SMS, the other party will receive 2 same message from me.
To test out, i unistall it, and the other party on receive 1 message from me.
from that day onwards, i never use SPB anymore.
i suspected is the SPB Pocket Plus issue, cause before i upgraded to WM2003SE, i am using my default O2 ROM, and it also has the duplicate SMS issue.
That why, i upgraded to WM2003SE, but still did not solve my problem.
I dont think is Telco problem, cause my colleague dont have such problem with normal phone.

You need to exclude the tmail.exe on close feature, this will fix the issue.
pardon me, where and how to fix it.
tap and hold the right upper part/ options/ close button/ feature options/ exceptions/ add/ browse/ windows/ select tmail.exe
This will fix the problem
thanks for the info
Nice one, but still that does not fix the original problem mentioned on the top of this thread...
Pocket Plus and Intellipad (Phonepad) incompatibility...
I would say that it's a resource conflict of some kind, because they sometimes can work together but sometimes they simply won't cooperate....
Or is it something similar than with the SMS thing? Perhaps Pocket Plus is shutting down the Intellipad resouces and thus causing this problem?
Is there a way to exclude Intellipad from Pocket Plus?
Just an idea....
Best regards,
Rayan
i've been using wmse together with spb pocket plus on my mini for about 2 weeks now and I haven't encountered those problems..

It appears that Microsoft Voice Command 1.5 is the one causing problems with Intellipad (Phonepad).
I have almost a week since I disabled VC and I have not had any problems with Intellipad ever since.
If I'm on the road and need Voice Command I just press the hardware button assigned to VC and after a few seconds it's loaded back and ready to rumble.
Best regards,

I'm having conflicts with spb pocket plus and wm2003 se. My XDA 2 locks up quite often when I use the two together. As soon as I unload spb pocket plus things clear up so clearly there is an issue there.

Did you have spb pocket plus installed?
in case you did,... you have to set "tmail.exe" as exception.
go to Start -> settings -> System -> Spb Pocket plus -> Close Button (select) -> Feature Options -> Exceptions (tab) -> Add -> search for "tmail.exe" in the Windows dir.
in case you didn't try spb pocket plus.
I dont have pocket plus installed but do have ilauncher which has a task manager which was closing the sms client. I have excluded this from the list and i am currently testing it. Thanks for your help mate if this sorts it my friends and family will be very grateful as they are sick of me repeating myself
well i also had that happen the other day...dunno what it is?? I dont have any of those programs loaded... I told them that it might be the network...and at least im not getting charged... I hope...lol
It's a network problem for sure.

No messaging with NotTooSmart vanilla

I´m using NotTooSmart vanilla and really loved it but now I cannot execute Messaging program. No SMS, no MMS and no email. I don´t know why???
When I go to Programs - Messaging nothig happens. When I press button 1 nothing happens.
Why????
Can´t find help in the forum yet.
Same after ahrdreset and backup
I did a hardreset and messaging is working. But after restoring by SKTools - nothing happens again. I don´t know when messaging stops working. SO I think I´ve got to set up phon efrom bottom. Urgh:

I dont understand what you are having backed up with SKtools. This being said, any backup made with SKtools should be used only on the rom you made it with. Every rom is diffrent as every chef is diffrent. Set it up from scratch and make a new backup. then when you hardreset you should be ok to use those backups.
It is your rom
I ran SKtools after setup everything with your vanilla ROM. Tha is clear. But while installing everything there must be a mistake - I don´t have messaging programs. I´ve set email accounts and everything was ok, stable and very fast. Today I recognized, that I couldn´t write anny message. It only makes nothing by pushing button 1. It makes nothing, when I go to Programs - Messaging.
After hardreset everything works great. So while installing and befor making a bakup of your ROM and my settings - there must be a break in these part. So after restore I have the same problem like before. So I have to install everything again. My fault I think.
But the backup I made is naturaly from your ROM.
You realize you are backing up and restoring on WM6 and most tools are not upgraded for WM6 yet. Could be that SKtools restore (or backup) doesn't work quite right with WM6. Just a guess, but anyone running WM6 should realize that some things just may not work (or appear to work but then break, or worse, break other things due to bad interactions).
Welcome to the bleeding edge!
First test
It hase been my first test with SKTools and everything is fine. Everything works. But perhaps I haven´t realized that messaging was not running before I made the backup. So when I restore - I restore the mistake. So I´ve got to hardreset and start again.
No problem. Third time this week with different ROM
I read from another thread that the way wm6 stores the contact list is quite different from wm5. Maybe this is why SKTools can't restore the backup correctly on wm6.
No problem
Backup works perfektly.
I cannot run any messageaplication.

same thing here. Backup with spb backup 1.55 does work fine for other wm6 rom but don't work (restoring) for this rom.
spb works fine but doesn't restore the messenges which are backuped, the rest of the restore works great
strange
da heufster
Hard reset made it
After one hour and ahrdreset, messaging is again working. Don´t know why it was broken.
But now have again 25MB after sktools optimize.
Running fast.
Thank you.

iFonz very slow / crashing

I think I've put this in the right place, but Mods please feel free to move it if I haven't.
My O2 XDA Ignito (HTC Touch Diamond in a different housing) has worked perfectly with iFonz for many months. I'm on version 1.1.2. I am very, very happy with iFonz and would not want to go back to TouchFlo which is nowhere near as good.
Yesterday, iFonz suddenly started operating extremely slowly. I thought I had crashed, but in fact it responds to commands but takes anything from 15 seconds to over a minute to do so. Until then, it has been virtually instantaneous.
The first command I issue after it's been left for some time will work as normal, but if I open (say) the PI Calendar, then close that - the nothing else will work for about 15 seconds after the keypress.
The only change I know about is that I had a problem with ActiveSynch to a new desktop installation (the familiar 0x86000107 problem) which I fixed in the usual way by deleting and reinstalling the pairing. Activesync worked fine after that.
I have S2U2 running - but that's always been there.
I noticed from the time I first installed iFonz that it would not update its header bar for several seconds after starting, but everything else worked OK.
Can anyone suggest a cause or a fix? I'm reluctant to uninstall and reinstall because I've set up 4 pages of icons and don't want to lose all that work.
I never used iFonz but i'm pretty sure the settings are kept somewhere so you can export them and not have to set everything up from the beginning. I always suggest uninstalling to check what causes the problem.
Thank you. Indeed, that is what I would have expected. I've searched the machine carefully, and found the iFonz software but no settings file.
I've PMed the author, and meanwhile I've taken iFonz off the startup list and running Touchflo instead. I don't like it anything like as much as iFonz, but it works.
Well, there's been no reply from the author, and everything I've tried (including uninstall and reinstall) has made no difference. Sad, because I liked iFonz.

Please tell me how to fix the above a bit more specifik...
I don't understand what you mean by: "pairing"
"Pairing" is setting up the ActiveSync connection between the PDA/phone and the PC so that they will synchronise when you connect them.
If you get the error, you have a problem. I fixed mine for a few months, but then the problem came back worse, and the fixes that used to work stopped. Basically, I don't think ActiveSync is capable of doing the job reliably. It deleted all my contacts (losing me a load of names and addresses that I needed and couldn't recover). I threw it out some time ago.
I now use an iPhone which doesn't have any of those problems.

[HELP NEEDED] Can not access messaging, not working...

Hey guys, got a problem here that hopefully someone could help me with, I have searched through the forum and I've not seen any similar issues posted by anyone else.
My phone is the Touch HD, running the stock ROM from when I first got it out of the box.
Basically I can not get into messaging at all, if I try to access 'Messaging' or 'Mail' through Touch Flo 3D then Touch Flo just resets itself and if I go to 'Start > Programs > Messaging' then nothing happens when I click on the icon.
The most recent applications I have installed are the new Opera beta, Resco Radio and a dog whistle application, I have since uninstalled all these thinking that would fix the problem but it's not.
I phoned HTC today and they said to clear storage on the phone which then obviously does a hard reset.
I don't mind doing this but it's obviously a pain to go through and backup all my data, I'm just trying to find a way to fix my problem without doing a hard reset first.
Saying that though the device has also been running a bit slow/sluggish over the past couple of months and if I am going to do a hard reset then I might just start using a custom ROM.
Hope someone can help.
