Do we need to change the header of the rom?
or just put in the SD card with Dopod 818 Images?

how to change the header?
You can search this forum for how to change a header or look at compactjam.com for info.
First, you have to get your Dopod 818 ROM into your PC. Get a HEX editor to get first 422 bytes from your 818. Replace those header on imate JAM image file. Then put this new ROM image to your 818.

Hi to everyone. I tried to edit .nbf files with ER2003EDIT on my Qtek S100 ( Italian version ); but I can't access to the file beacuse I can't find the right password. I want to delete some .cab files on the Extended ROM, so I can have a bigger Storage memory. Someone can help me??!! Can I use another ROM files editor ??!!

There is no possibility until now to adapt the extended ROM of the Magician devices....

Ok...but someone edited the new Magician ROM to create the BIGSTORAGE ... so it is possible to edit the ROM!!! How!!??
I would say hexediting the ROM. Could all be done, but is very hard....

I tried to upgrade my rom 1.11 to 1.12 in french on my Qtek S100 but I cant because an error of country id appears. so I tried to use rom editor but it asks for a pssword, and the most important is that when I use the file GetDeviceData.exe I find different order than that you have mentioned here in the file DeviceData.txt

I upgraded my Qtek S100 to 1.13 and its going very well now.
I've also did the AKU2 update by Orange for my Dutch SPV C600. Like other peoples here I'm not able to use any Registry editor to modify the certification check. I tried all the online services but none of them seem to work with this ROM.
So I decided to try to flash my device with the Imate SP5 ROM. Because it's a different operator I had to change the NBF file. Never had any problems flashing my SPV C500 this way, but somehow this device haunts me Unfortunatly I wasn't able to get the NBF file correctly after altering the right fields. After changing the operating field, recalclating the header and saving the NBF file again, the file was only a view KB!
Maybe there is somebody who can help me out here.. ..I'm looking for a solution. Maybe somebody can get me a modified NBF file for flashing a Dutch Orange SPV C600.

i tested it with the newest German O2 ROM. You must install the O2 ROM on youre device and backup the OS ROM with awizard (start command line under windows when youre device is connected, start awizard, at first option e then u and then b). After this you can edit the nk.nbf file with a hexeditor how Yunshen in his thread wrote http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=63505 and Hard Reset the device.
My Storage was after this only 40MB instead of 44MB before. I have not testet my Neo more with this rom because i want use a newer ROM with Aku2.3 and the German O2 have only Aku20.

I have download the original O2 Update and extrected the *.exe, the was the nk.nbf, but i can´t find the 03EC8AE with the hexeditor???
Can you tell us where to find the right Line in the Hex Code ?
The Line given in your Link is for AKU 2.3 and does not exist in the official O2 Rom (or i did not find it)

After recover and hard reset my Neo i have 4 MB less then before. How stable the system runs i cant say. It was very fast but i have testet then other ROMs and have now the orig O2 ROM without pagingpool in use because i have not enough time this days for testing.

values are IPL 2.26 and SPL 2:26 so I have a G3 upgrade to version 6.x Windows Mobile.
now I want to install a clean version of Windows Mobile 6.5 (this version), unfortunately I found it only in English but I will try it. I always download and opening the rar archive, I found one file:
nk.nbf

How do I update the ROM? What do I need? I tried to google a bit but I swear that I have not found anything. the only thing I understood is that the NBF file see language on the ROM of the phone and if doesn't correspond to the language of the ROM that I want, the upload stop.
now I have the Italian on the wizard, while I should put one in English! What should I do?

you can't use RUU MUN?
I don't know what is RUU MUN!!
When I upgraded to Windows Mobile 6.1, I used a rom with .exe format, so I installed everything with a double click..
download RUU from the attachments. Copy nk.nbf in the RUU 2.5.2 folder. After that run romupdateutility.exe

I have already read the wiki but it doesn't speak how to install rom having NBF file. I followed the wiki when I installed Windows Mobile 6.1.
Now I know that I can install the 6.5 because I have IPL and SPL 2.26.
But if I have an italian ROM with Italian language and NBF file contains an English rom, I can upload the new rom? or freeze?

It shouldn't matter what language you had. The new rom language will replace the old one.
