Reset Call duration is here !!! - General Topics

Thanks to guest/Bad we have a solution :
* Call someone.
* turn back clock as many hours as the outgoing counter
* hang up
* Let someone call you
* turn back clock as many hours as incoming counter
* hang up
don't overturn, because it will cause the counter to be in the millions.
THis solution is so easy, nobody figured it out until now

M4io,
thanks but can you explain more how to do that, i'm little confused with steps!!
Thanks

I think somebody knows but they do not want to share us. M4io
I tested so many times, because I made overturn, million hours
And now it's so easy M4io?

reset for dummies (just an expression, nothing personal) :
tap on the Flag (left top corner)
tap settings
tap the tab System (in the botttom)
tap Device information
tap the tab Call duration (in the bottom)
write down incoming and outgoing
for example :
incoming = 48hr 27 min. 55 sec
outgoing = 14r 57 min 01 sec
Outgoing reset :
Call someone, (with the phone, not with your voice).
While the conversation is ongoing :
tap on the Flag (left top corner)
tap settings
tap the tab system
tap clock & alarms
tap the tab Time
change the Time
for example
if it is 15:37 18/01/2005
change it -14hr 57min 01 sec (outgoing)
to 00:41 18/01/2005
tap OK (right top corner)
end the conversation/ hang up the phone.
Set your clock back to reality
incoming reset :
let someone call you.
While the conversation is ongoing :
tap on the Flag (left top corner)
tap settings
tap the tab system
tap clock & alarms
tap the tab Time
change the Time
if it is 15:37 18/01/2005
change -48hr 27 min. 55 sec (incoming)
to 15:10 16/01/2005
tap OK (right top corner)
end the conversation/ hang up the phone.
Set your clock back to reality

What if the counter is on something like 165247hr15min30sec ???

Just change the date/time back to what was before. It will revert back to your original counter value.

No u don't get me, I mean for some odd reason, without any manipulation from my part, the counter has jumped to such crazy figures. So I guess this elegant way to reset won't work in such a case?

you could try to turn back 18 years
I don't know when it overflows , but you could try to turn forward.
short explanation : small negative display as large positive numbers if you handle it as unsigned field.
so it could be that
165247hr15min30sec is something like -1hr00min00sec
so you could solve it by turning the time forward 1 hour.
if anyone knows approxemately what -00hr00min01sec is you could calculate how much to turn forward.
ANYONE ?

The only time I have seen such high numbers for calls is on a brand new phone, once a call is made it resets.

maybe your counters were very close to zero point and by using it went from negative to positive?

oldest virtual xda phone user
In fact there's been quite a few reports on such odd counter behavior. Best solution in my opinion is to use a third party software and forget about the built in counter.
Meanwhile we could launch a contest for the "oldest virtual xda phone user" ) But screen captures are required!!

cool but have you tried reseting the "all calls" from the call timers?
(phone/call history/tools/call timers)

Thanks to Bonzo
I think the zero point is :
1193046 hr 28 min 16 sec
thus if your counter is closer to this, than to 0, It is easier to turn time forward going over 1193046 hr 28 min 16 sec. This should give you a very small calling time.

Wohoo! I got mentioned!
Sweet!

thanks to M4IO

problem with Magneto
For the those who are using WM5.0/Magneto, both INCOMING and OUTGOING call duration are set to "Unknown".
I guess this solution is not compatible with WM5.0 (as of May 20 2005 version 1. 50f.blWWE)

long phone lag when trying to answer a call HTC Touch Pro

Does anyone know of a fix for the long lag in answering calls for the HTC Touch Pro? If you can help please write back in the simplest terms! I am just learning how to use the phone and finally learned how to download and install cab files.
Thanks!

What have you installed (to cause this problem)?
Do a search for "diamond tweak". There is an option to shorten the delay when an incoming calls rings. Perhaps that will help.
if you have S2U2 installed, you could try uninstalling or disabling that. You could also switch from the Diamond dialpad to the regular WinMo dial pad (the screen you see when go to the dialer). You can make this change using the Advanced Config Tool (i'm pretty sure, if not, then try Diamond Tweak).
There's also the initial delay value in the registry as mentioned in the last post.
These should all help, some more than others though.
there actually is an issue with Diamond tweak and advanced config...
if you use them to set your data disconnect time if re writes a registry value that makes your phone fritz when trying to answer calls.in reg editor go to HKLM/comm/connmgr/planner.
Look for a entry of suspendresume. change that to #777. shold cure your issue. while you are there if you want to help out your battery change the Cachetime value to 60. that will kill your data afret 60 seconds of no use.
weird.....suspendresume on mine shows ~GPRS! as a value??

thanks for the suggestions and how do I fix the hang up lag?
The slow delay in answering calls was a problem right out of the box. When I installed the slide to answer function the phones responsiveness greatly improved. There is also a huge lag from the time I end a call to the time I can go back to my home screen. Any suggestions for fixing that lag?

no idea, but i have the same thing
No luck with the tweak mentioned in post #5. However, after I replaced the HD CallerID with the default WM one (which is not that bad!) the phone responds rapidly :
1) Zero lag between first caller's ring and screen respond.
2) Almost zero lag between first caller's ring and bluetooth handset ring.
3) Less than 0.5 ring before the device starts ringing.
Only a minor problem : The bluetooth icon does not show any more on the taskbar although the BT connections works fine !
Ok, where do you change to the default caller ID? I tried the registry edit and changing to the default dialer skin and had the same problem. This is so frustrating! About 50% of the time when it rings I hit the answer button and nothing happens. It even takes about 10 seconds before the screen changes from the home screen to the phone screen when it starts ringing.
How big a file for the ringtone are you using? The bigger the file, IMHO, the longer it'd take for the phone to load it...
Delete your call history and the lag after hanging up should disappear.
Htc Diamond Regedit
Hello,
I have a problem with my HTC.
I used PHM Regsitry. I found the Suspendresume key, and it wrote GPRS!
I clicked the key, and because I did not know who to change the value, I just wrote #777.
Now when I try to go there and change what I did, when I click Settings in regedit, it is emty or the program crackes.
Please help.
Paches and fixes
Goto HTC's website. There is a patch to resolve the issue for the delay in sound when answering calls.
Regarding the delay after the phone cal has been discontinued use "Advanced_Configuration_Tool_v3.3" (search this site). There is a setting that you can change to resolve it (default is 3000ms[3sec])

This hangup delay is one of the first settings I changed when I got the phone. Almost everytime I scroll through contacts phonebooks, the phone would accidentally dial, so I press end end end repeatedly, but by the time it hangs up, the other party already had my caller id, and would call back asking why I called.
Why is this 3 sec delay built-in? There must be a reasoning behind it.
And while we're on the delay issue, why did they set the camera up with a 3-5 second delay to shoot? Is it for the autofocus? I got rid of the reg setting, now the camera is faster, and no autofocus issues... so why were these delays there to begin with?

its in Schaps Advanced config 3.3 under Camera. But i digress...
it still begs the question, from an engineering standpoint, why did they set up these delays and lags?

I don't know if you resolved your issue.
You just have to erase "~GPRS!" and type in "#777"
No quotes of course.
I use Dotfred Task Manager 3.1
Same problem
I recently got this problem with the answer lag, I was using the same rom, same applications, same everything for the past few weeks. I am not entirely sure what caused the problem.
What would happen is when I get a call and I hit the answer key, the phone stops ringing and vibrating but it would still be flashing and has the phone number shown, I also have the slider installed and when I slide it, the same problem comes up!
In my reg editor, I do not have HKLM!
Any advise would be appreciated, this is getting annoying for both sides of the call.
Thank You
UPDATE
I actually may have found the solution, I removed the wireless manager shortcut when holding the answer button, and so far it's been working very quickly.
Go to settings -> Buttons and switch "button 1" from w/e u had to "<none>" I didn't even restart my phone...
2nd Update
Nope, just got an international call and it's holding it up... maybe it has to do with caller ID ?
HKLM is HKey_Local_Machine

[Q] Call counter

In Windows mobile i can see the call counters easily (settings, about phone) and see for example:
Incoming: 20 hours 15 minutes 10 seconds
Outgoing: 25 hours 55 minutes 17 seconds
Those are the total call timers of the phone, i mean all time counters since you first used the phone till now.
In android i can't find a way to see this information!
Is there is anyway to do so?!
(i've posted in this section supposing that there's an app that can do it; sorry if it's in the wrong section and feel free to move it)

Anyone!?! Looks like it's not possible
If that information is not part of the android os, then it would be quite difficult to write a 'app' to record that I think.
It would have to be integrated into the core of the OS I guess.
Edit:
Actually android already records the time of each call in the call log, so querying and adding up that info wouldn't be too hard
http://developer.android.com/reference/android/provider/CallLog.Calls.html
It should be possible to write an app that adds up the times in the call history. Clearing the history would, of course, reset the sums.
Thanks guys for your replies!
But what i mean is a built-in data in android! like it is in WinMo!
Some kind of built-in hardware and software component that counts them without giving the user the privilege to reset it!
In other words, if i want to buy a used phone and i want to take an idea on how much the phone has been extensively used!
The information presented when using *#*#4636*#*# are only from boot to boot *(when you reboot the counter will reset)!

[XDA DEV] Tasker|The Ultimate Lost/Stolen Device Recoverer! V1 [AKA SHERLOCK DROID!]

PLEASE SUBSCRIBE TO THIS THREAD (in thread tools above) TO KEEP UP MOMENTUM! LET'S GET THIS DONE!
I had a PM from the user aelsharawi recently, who asked me to update the ‘locate my phone’ profile on the Tasker wiki. Never one to step away from a challenge, I started pondering and then pondered a little further and decided that this is something I really need community input on to plan and construct.
Losing your device feels like losing a limb or a close family member and instead of sitting by the home phone (if anyone still uses one!) waiting for the police to call to say they have recovered it, wouldn’t it be better to know that you can still control it remotely and in the mean time it’s working hard to return itself to you, like a little, lost, soft, cuddly puppy… Ok then…
Even if you don’t yet use Tasker, please do contribute and tell me what you would like your device to do! Grab your free trial from here
Continue to read for my initial ideas and the up-to-date community input!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Whilst pondering, I realised that should you be separated from your device, you may not always want to take the same action.
For example, if you know you’ve just left it on your seat on the train that is chugging out of the station, requesting Tasker to wipe all of your data and massively overclock the CPU so much that it sets on fire, probably isn’t what you’re after. Alerting a nearby passenger that it’s been left and a small reward is on offer for its safe return, would perhaps increase your chances of seeing it again.
Alternatively, if you’re pretty sure your device has just been swiped, a polite message of pretty please return me, hoping to play on the conscience of a thief, may not do the trick. A sleuth mode would be more appropriate here, where the device starts to mimic being asleep/off whilst all the time updating you of its location amongst other things.
Different eventualities such as the above made me realise I would need more than one profile for this, perhaps even a precautionary profile, so if I knew I was going out to get completely wasted, I could set the device to check it was still in my possession at regular intervals!
Anyway, you get the general idea… on to my list of what Tasker could theoretically do to help:
1) Play very loud music
2) Display a message of death threats
3) Display a nice message
4) Display a reward message
5) Display a current location message
6) Speak instructed text
7) Email/text location
8) Lock
9) Wipe
10) Encrypt
11) Mimic being off/dead
12) Partially disable
13) Disable all buttons
14) Brick
15) Change splash Screen (I think?)
16) Change Boot animation
17) Shine torch
18) Take a picture
19) Text/email that picture
20) Display that picture (!)
21) Bluetooth the picture to nearby devices
22) Bluetooth a file/message to nearby devices
23) Send call logs
24) Block calls
25) Send text logs
26) Make it call the local police station and then speak!
27) Turn on a nearby TV
28) Show pornography
So, the above are a load of possible things that popped into my head (and you can see I was running out of ideas near the end). I’m sure you can help me think of plenty more…?
Sadly, the one thing that isn’t possible is to make the device boot if it is off… Yes I know everyone’s Nokia could do this back in 1982, but sadly not our dear Androids…
Over to you folks, let me know your thoughts!
Please respect the forum rules and belittle other people’s ideas and opinions as much as possible. It’s so much more fun that way…
Just kidding!
Your ideas
29) Send voice recording
30) Video Call
31) Activate Mic (sleuth make/answer call)
32) Disable USB/recovery/fastboot (unlikely) - Anyone know if these can be disabled by deleting certain system files?
33) Request thief's personal info! (see #39)
34) React to movement
35) Set to speaker phone and make call
36) Request to insert charger!
37) Auto-dial a fake contact of very HOT girl and then activate forward facing camera!
38) Notify of new number is SIM is changed!
39) Fake 'initial Set-up' mini program, that Tasker will send out the input from <-- Volunteer to write this?!
40) Gestures active to tell when phone is tilted to take picture with rear camera (not a problem for front facing)
41) Mute camera sound and disable flash for sleuth mode
42) Everyone start posting pictures of HOT girls that we can use as the fake contact! (don't pretend you have real ones)
Example profile added to post #3 for ideas!

Thanks for all of your encouragement and feedback so far, please keep it coming, it's the only way to get this right. The best ideas are often the most simple, so please do not be afraid to post. If anyone flames you, they'll be struck off my 'Tasker help list'!
V1 BETA Set-up (Of course completely open to change by your input)
There will be four contexts for you to activate:
SherlockGreen
Situation Example: Device left moments ago on a train or in a restaurant. Drastic action is not required. Hopeful of good and honest Samaritan retrieving device.
SherlockAmber
Situation Example: Honestly, I'm not sure! You tell me....
SherlockRed
Situation Example: Device has definitely been stolen. Voluntary recovery unlikely. Ultra sleuth recovery mode and potential device wipe/brick.
DrWatson
Situation Example: You've woken up still drunk. Can't remember anything (apart from your 'Sherlock Codes'!). Can't find your phone. It could just be under the sofa. Perform single adhoc actions such as manual loud tones and vibrates etc etc.

DrWatson V1 BETA Explained
DrW-PopUp
* Purpose - display received text content as a pop-up on the screen
* Activated by the receipt of an SMS (from any sender) containing the text 'drwpop'.
* Note: In the context it states 'drwpop*'. The '*' is a wild card, so Tasker will allow further body text to be included in the same SMS.
* SMS body text (%SMSRB) is split at '###' until '###'
* Your SMS must therefore be 'drwpop ###THIS WILL DISPLAY ON THE SCREEN###'
DrW-Alert
* Purpose - Vibrate, torch and sound for localised searching.
* Activated by the receipt of an SMS (from any sender) containing the text 'drwalert'.
* If Tasker is handing your notification sounds, a 5 second wait is required in action #1 to prevent the alert sound being killed.
DrW-Location
* Purpose - Adhoc location request
* Activated by the receipt of an SMS (from any sender) containing the text 'drwlocation'.
* GPS & NET locations sent with accuracy [V2 Google maps link with pointer sent for both].
* Battery status included.
DrW-Tasker
* Purpose - Populate the created variable %DRWVAR
* Activated by the receipt of an SMS (from any sender) containing the text 'drwtasker'.
* SMS body text (%SMSRB) is split at '###' until '###'
* Your SMS must therefore be 'drwtasker ###1###'
DrW-Var
* Purpose - Triggered when %DRWVAR is set to '1' to perform actions.
* Note: Actions are up to you. Examples included are to set profile status 'XX' to off and set profile status 'XX' to on. These actions could be to turn on battery saving profiles you have or to turn off battery intensive profiles or profiles you consider may conflict with future actions such as notification control or to cease data connectivity under certain conditions. Turning off the sms preview in the notification bar and silencing the sms notification would be an obvious choice.
Testing thoughts and requests
As a reminder, 'Dr Watson' is supposed to be when you're not certain where your device is and are not overly concerned. That said, the ad hoc functions may well be useful under 'Sherlock circumstances'.
It is theoretically possible (a statement used when I haven't quite fathomed out how yet!) using a combination of DrW-Tasker & DrWVar that you can request Tasker to SMS/e-mail you any requested variable. For example, if you populate a created variable %DRWVAR-REQUEST with the body text of '###%UPS###' - you could then request that another created variable is set to %DRWVAR-REQUEST (= %UPS) and an SMS is sent containing %DRWVAR-REQUEST-POPULATED which is %UPS! You therefore receive a text with 'up time in seconds...' You with me....
I'm starting to forget my 'codes' already!

I would enjoy having something like this that works reliably, definitely the things that have to be perfected are the locate, encrypt, backup, wipe, alert, custom message and lock-out features.. Everything else is just a great added bonus.
Maybe see if you can somehow activate the microphone to listen to nearby conversation, or cameras to see anything thats going on (hopefully its not just a pocket shot lol)

I like it - start voice recorder for ten seconds - zip it up and email it... or just dial-out of course...
A pocket shot would be a little disappointing!
Keep the ideas coming....
Those are some pretty good bonuses. I think it would be cool to have the phone fake being bricked. Fully functional for the owner with remote password. However, phone will run a program in background for "brick" mode.
Display will be nothing but static, all buttons are disabled whilst sending its location, video and voice recordings to your pc.
Pulling the battery, trying to reboot into recovery or fast boot, or connection with usb will not work. All settings are initiated upon boot. Phone is "bricked" until you send the password via your pc.
I don't know if this would be possible, just a thought.

I'm sure we could achieve most of it with pooled knowledge...
'Brick mode' is really essential to allow the phone to keep communicating. Would need a silent, black splash and boot animation so if the device was rebooted it would still appear off... or perhaps a fake one that appears to show errors and say's 'powering off'...?
Recovery and Fastboot are completely separate - to my knowledge they can't be tampered with from the OS - Although maybe there are some essential system files they use that Tasker could delete? I'm really not knowledgeable enough about that...
How about preventing itself from being uninstalled. Perhaps by needing a password (or some other means) to continue with the uninstall.
Would it be possible to take a picture when movement is detected? and send this picture by email?
How about it setting itself to speaker phone and calling a selected contact who can instruct them on how to get the phone back to you.

And if that fails within a # of tries, emails location to you periodically.

A fake brick option would be the best, coupled with sensor awareness for recovery.
For the fake brick, it think it would be best if the screen gets stuck at a battery low/please plugin your charger, so that the perp will always charge your phone for you if they wanna use it.
For the sensor awareness, taking a recording, as well as taking occasional videos would be nice, as well as GPS location data.
Tasker and other apps can't enable/disable GPS since 2.3.3, Google change the security restrictions, also Radio on/off is not possible. And yes, this sucks.
Still works on CM7 though
Found this thread through a post I made on another forum.
That's an awesome list, will have a go at implementing some of these to my setup.
edit: maybe after reboot (if a security flag has been activated) the 'lockscreen' can ask the guy to input his info (name/email..password?? lol) in order to use the phone, then obviously send those out.
suggestion:
- enable Taskers PW-protection
feedback:
- don't like: 2-5 (maybe display a sms-provided msg instead?), 27, 28
- like: 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 23
BTW: any good alarm sounds you guys can recommend? Looking for a nice loud one that'll be easy to hear when nearby

If you're talking about Tasker itself, then it can already be password protected.

I'm not sure how to tap into the sensor controls, but enabling a number of Tasker gesture alerts that basically activate for any movement would do it. Tasker would only react to these gestures if it knew it was in 'slueth mode'.

Both could work. If you've left it on a train for example, it would first text your chosen emergency contact telling him/her it's about to call them and to get ready to shout loud to see if someone hears...

The ultimate goal would be to make the perp leave the phone 'awake' for as long as possile whilst fooling them into doing something like looking for a charger (that would be great if they kept charging it up!!) or following long winded instructions that they think will give them full use of the device, all the time keeping them unaware that they are being hunted down!

CM have indeed hacked this.
For other custom ROMs, Google will tell you that under settings/location and secuirty wifi and GPS should always be ticked and will use no extra resource until required. Alternatively, most Gingerbread ROMs have the the status bar power widget. I'm pretty sure this is controlled by a simple system file that Tasker could overwrite - further investigation needed.

We'll make sure that these profiles are fully configurable for individual tastes - so if one users likes one idea and not another, they can easily adjust. I'm sure we'll get some volunteers on XDA to make us the custom bootanimations, splash screens, black wallpaper, fake wallpaper (with instructions on), images we can show on the screen (with fake instructions on) and sounds etc etc etc.
i think a good option would be to initate a fake phone call (activate ringer, stock Call Screen with picture of a really attractive girl) and have the caller name be something like, "the best hookup ever" so as the Thief looks at it--the Front Facing Camera option is enabled & takes a picture of the Thief.
this picture then gets automatically sent to a designated email.
just a thought.

Ha! Classic... Love it If only I already had such a 'contact' in my phone...
I could do with a device with a forward facing camera too...
Whew god, first suggestion, kill that signature. Wow.
Anywho. I wrote something like this myself a while back, but it's not quite in good shape to share I don't think, I'd have to evaluate it.
Anywho, it watches for SMS or Email with keywords and does some action based on those keywords. Primary keyword is to send information, such as location, last call in, last call out, last sms in, last sms out, phone number, battery info, some misc other stuff I think, had to keep it at 140 for sms.
Also if the phone number changes, it sends the same info every 5 minutes to a predesignated SMS.
For email I had to write my own http mail relay since I could not figure out a way to send mail without some intermediate steps showing on the screen or needing to hit the Send button.. kinda defeats the purpose. So it just does a POST to my web server and it sends the email.
If nothing is written here yet and anyone is interested, I can do some clean up and post it. Although I'm pretty bad about getting it done, I still need to post some GPS Tracking tasks I wrote a while back for "TrackMe".. ahem.
Can we get it to mimic the initial android phone setup, the welcome to android screen, make them touch the android, then they input their info?

Good work men
Beta
Thanks for everyone who applied, the beta is now closed.
k4p741nkrunch - it is designed for phones and tablets, while it works great right down to 3" 320x240 devices, the interface definitely looks better the bigger the screen!
Thanks
Just d/l and installed. (device in sig) and will testing it through out the night and will b using it to wake up in the morning. Also I will b installing it on an Samsung epic 4G (sprint) my previous device and that is running aokp mile stone 6.
Will report tomorrow and let u know how it does.
So far install went just fine on my evo and looks great graphically.!
Thanx,
Z.

Willing to test this out it looks really impressive. Galaxy Nexus. I can also test on my Droid RAZR and SGS3 if that's okay?
PM sent.
REALLY impressive, I think this just kicked out all the alarm apps to my favorite right now.
Suggestions:
-Add a "alarm" icon on the notification bar when there is an alarm planned
-On the timer somehow an option to select how long I want the timer to stay on, for example with the wheel, it is quite hard to set the time to EXACTLY 32 seconds (or any other #). I would personally like to be able to click the bottom 00:00:00 and set a exact time.
--When making an alarm, then saving it, the notification label should read the EXACT time from now, example: Right now it says "Alarm will go off in 12 hours" my suggestion "Alarm will go off in 12 hours and 12 minutes"
Bugs:
-The weather at the top bar is in Celsius for me, and I went into settings and changed it to Fahrenheit
GREAT app! I love the user-friendly UI.
Bookmarked, can't wait to check back in on this one! PM if interested in testing on an i9000 CM10
Oh and a big part I left out of the bugs...
the Alarm itself is not working..
I set the alarm for 5 minutes after and it never rang.
I checked multiple times, and did not work.
Anyone else confirm?
device info: check my sig.....
Hi,
Well I just finished up doing a full test on my device. I must say this has to be on the the best beta's I've tested. It pretty
much has everything integrated in this app. Not only just sounds and settings to help you wake up but also fall asleep as well!
Here is what I came up with so far...................
set up new alarm: duplicates itself. I make one single new alarm, it shows two of them
the same name, settings etc in the window pane. I have to go and delete the duplicates
I set up new alarm and set the sound, alarm went off. Dismissed. Tried to change the sound to a different
one, test went ok but when alarm came on, it played the original sound that was first set
fix: restarted phone and it did not do that again.
using the app always sets my alarm system setting volume all the way up no matter what level I had set it previous.
Not sure how to change it ?
couple of screen lockups (graphically) when option: snooze was set to flip phone. phone was
set down normally and it showed up in landscape mode when alarm was going off. went to pick
it up and then slide the bar to dismiss it and then desktop on phone locked up half screen
black then half screen in landscape mode. (assuming reason is bc I had flip phone set on it
even though I don't have a flip phone) not sure if app should already know that its not a flip and come to a standard
setting such slide bar to dismiss alarm.
while setting up alarm, chose radio, went to test using the test button, worked, using the
slide down to end the test, music kept playing and then went to the regular set up menu where
you would set up an alarm and music playing in background and had to back out off the app to fully stop the feed for music.
GPS showed me one state away? but the weather did show up though for what it did pick up.
I also double checked my Google maps, navigation and Telenav and they did show my correct position.
sleep works just fine -the part of app to listen to while falling to sleep and the counter winds down.
nap worked just fine as well
when setting the days the alarm should go off, I selected which ones, hit save. backed out and
preview pane on GUI to the right did not always show the changes.........................
IE: all seven days were selected. Did a test. All went well, second I blacked out all the
days except for this coming Friday, set the alarm for only 4 min ahead of the current time tonight.
Now ( Friday @ 7:17pm) I hit save. It saved, but when I backed out alarm said that it was
going to go off in 5 min. When it should be saying 4days away. I had to back out of the app
all the way and then back in to it for the changes to be finalized.
attempted a second time, panel showed the changes but it did not finalize even after backing out of
app completely. alarm still went off today even though the next day it was set on was this
coming Friday.
I did a couple more tests and sometimes when the changes were made the alarm did show the correct thing. 4 days away etc... But at least the alarm does off on the time you set it to every time
alarm always goes off in Landscape mode ( not sure if that is intentional ? ) probably is.
tried to use the "reaction" for snooze, tried all 3 different setting. (assuming reaction
means shake around ) it did not work, however reaction did fine when it was set for disarm.
Made a new alarm, Icon showed up, the test went fine. Alarm went off. I changed the time to just 5 min later. changes were applied successfully. I rebooted and noticed that the Icon was gone, but alarm was still functional and went off at the desired time even though the icon was missing after a reboot.
side note:
Alarm icon shows up for me till I reboot. Had to go in to the app tap on the alarm that you have set up then back out to main GUI and icon will show back up.
When phone is standing in normal position, (portrait mode) the display will show this when you go to full screen.

If I had to put a spin on it I think it might be better if the whole time was in the same line instead of dividing it up in the two. I can see the reasoning for doing so, ( see it better while its on your night stand) but maybe an option in later releases to have it the other way?
After doing a full test on this and I'm already loving it. I know its beta and was happy to test bc this I find to be better then any other alarm app I've used.
Well that is my spin on how it runs on the EVO 3D so far.
I hope the info helps and if you have any questions / comments or anything else that you would like to me to try, drop me a line and like I said before, I'm more then happy to do so
I'm actually pretty excited about this app and looking forward to the progress that is going to be made
Tomorrow I'll be doing a full test on my back up handset ( Samsung Epic 4G) and will report in when its done.
Thanx again!,
Z.
Edit:
apparently my browser substituted and auto corrected by using the word " portrait" instead of using landscape. I went and corrected the words that they should be. Next time I'll keep an look out for that. I really do hate auto correct at times!
1stly 10/10 for putting this app together alot of nice touches like getting to sleep.
Ok here its my report on using the app for only 10 mins and trying out all the options.
The alarm only shows in landscape not portrait.
When setting alarm it shows 2 when only one selected.
When alarm is set to use radio the default ringtone and vibrate go off even when not selected.
I can not get radio station to save as default to play as alarm.
The notification icon shows but there is no text to show next alarm is set.
The volume of alarm is affected by system volumes, if system vol is silent, alarm vol don't work but vibrates even if not selected.
Might be better if you could have alarm vol independent off system, if already in place must have missed it in settings.
I had a couple out random shut outs of app when trying to use the sleep function.
Timer function worked well without any issues.
When using music as tone only,it only vibrate.
Screen not wake up when alarm goes off just hear it vibrate.
Using default alarm tones again only vibrate no tone heard.
When using the test function the last option is played eg if set to play radio when alarm goes press test key the app takes you to home screen but just vibrates, if you go back and change the tone to music, pressing test will take you to home screen but this time hear radio for 2-5secs then cuts out, comes back again but it's very choppy.
Listening to radio via app when not set works well.
The same happens with all settings of music.
Starting to get unexplained closes and stopping.
Will give further feed back once tried it out for longer.
My phone details Sony Ericsson arc on stock ics 4.0.4 with stock kernel build.431 boatloader is unlocked and rooted.

Second Beta Release - Beta Test on EVO 3D CDMA
Device info: Check Sig....
add new alarm - duplicate problem solved
GPS still showing the wrong area for me at least ( not sure if anyone else having same issue)
When setting up an alarm, as you pick your time that is all well and good,
But as you pick your sound and hit back to go to the rest of the settings to
save / test and other options..it auto saves it and goes back to main GUI saying
alarm will trigger in ...... minutes.
Basically as soon as you choose the sound of your liking, it backs up to the main GUI and
saves the settings and engages the alarm.
When choosing option "speak time" as the alarm, it does not say anything.
After choosing your sound to wake up to and then going back in to the settings to set
up the rest, when your satisfied and choose "test" screen pops up. I used the slide bar
to end the test. Sound kept playing.
Using the sound settings, I chose music. The usual preview did not play as you scroll
through the stations.
Did a timer test. Chose a specific sound. Settings were set for reaction to snooze, and slide to
disarm. Reaction did not work. ( shook it around). I slide to disarm. I had a graphical error, screen froze up, sound kept playing and took about 20 seconds of hitting my home button to get back to my main screen.
Second test w/ timer, it hit 0 and did not go off, then did a 3rd, sound kept playing. The slide to dismiss and reaction did not work as well. Took about 25 sec for it to f/c and get me back to my home screen.
When adjusting the days, pop up shows the correct setting. “ alarm will trigger in 3 days etc..” but the smaller window pane does not change.
IE: MTW are in blue, you black out MT then choose save. Pop up says 2 days will trigger etc, back out to the main GUI and the smaller alarm window will still show MTW in blue. I found out that the only time the smaller alarm window will show the black out dates right away is only if you test the alarm. Then it will show correctly in the smaller alarm window right away. I've done this several times and every other time I used slide to dismiss, it stuck on a black screen for about 10 sec or so and did not dismiss right away.
Testing out the sleep function. Chose music and first run out, could not find stream. Second run on music setting, timer running but no sound then f/c.
Also tested it out using sound, seemed to be just fine. Started and stopped as it should. In some of the sounds though you can hear the “tisk” or the hiccup when it loops though. I know extremely minor but just being thorough.
Alarm test w/ music
settings : Button for snooze, slider for dismiss. Did more multiple test w/ music. I had the option to disarm w/ slide. Once running, slide down then pop up says alarm will trigger …... and then was stuck on a black screen. I had to hit the home button to get my screen back to the norm.
Not sure if the app is supposed to do this, but if you do set your system volume alarm level say at 50 % after you test the alarm , It will auto adjust your system setting to 100% but if the alarm officially goes off and you dismiss it, it seems to stay about half the time, the other half it will re adjust.
Set alarm, Icon shows in status bar, backed all the way out, checked a couple of text / email etc. I rebooted,
alarm icon is not showing but alarm did go off at its designated time set though. Slide to dismiss and it went right to the home screen as it should and then icon re appeared in the corner as the alarm was set to all 7 days at that same time.
Still only executes alarm in landscape mode.
Option to slide over clock to change brightness: slide over the clock and it did get brighter but it did not get dimmer swiping from right to left or doing the left to right over again.
Reaction was not working for me at all , I also had that on setting "easiest" Just to confirm, "reaction" does it mean to pick up or shake it or ?
For the last test, I did set the alarm for 10:55 it saved or well auto saved after choosing my sound in the settings, I backed out of the app completely. I went back in to the app and turned the alarm Off. The icon went away. The alarm still went off at 10:55 even though in the app it says Off.
I was glad to see some of the progress on this app so soon keep it up and looking forward to the next release. If I can find the time today I will test out the second on my back up epic 4G and report on that as well. Probably would've have had it done already but wanted to test out the second release on the same handset first.
Z.
PM sent incase you need more testers
Update to app already.. Wow that was fast.
Here is a list of bugs that affect me.
Still can't get radio to work with alarm.
Vibrate still coming on even if selected not to.
Ringers not changing always plays 1st tone even when different tone selected.
Screen not coming on.
When dismissing alarm the tone/vibrate still constantly playing.
What is working after update.
Music tone now playing/working when alarm rings, and only one alarm set when selected.
Will test more today and report back.
Sent from my LT18i using xda premium
fixed : when choosing sound, when it does preview and hitting the back button does
not auto save the alarm.
fixed: when testing sound alarm, does not keep going after closing. ( slide to close as option)
fixed: let alarm set as programmed to, volume was set at 75% for the system, the alarm did go off
and it went off at the specified volume that was set for the system.
Snooze set to reaction ( shook the hell outta hit ) didn't work. On the easiest setting level
Went and set alarm, it did go off, but then re adjusted the days, so it wouldn't go off
for another 2 days, the small window on the main GUI didn't update ( or show the blacked off days)
pop up said it was correct when hitting save , but still show blue for all the days. It did
show up when backing out of the app and going back in that the correct days were shown.
Timer function : tested on the sound setting ... works perfectly .. used slide to dismiss...
Sleep funtion. : tested on the sound setting..... works perfectly
test 3 - used alarm and setting on music. music preview played perfect and went off w/ out a hitch
the test is working correctly for my device now. When I choose to slide to dismiss it has no lag
anymore and doesn't hack up the screen.
Fixed : doesn't re adjust my system volume anymore for alarm. But this will still go off
at full blast. any possible attempt at a volume setting on the app?
. LOL we probably need it it full blast in order to wake up... we need to wake up .
Alarm went off, ( set to music, picked dubstep ) and it went off w/ out a hitch . Just loving the hell
outta this thing now!
I would wonder though, is there anyway to in corporate a volume setting w/in the app itself so that
way we can adjust? But loving this already.
I also wanted to know is it possible to have a mock spread sheet for things to test for? it would
be easier that way as I just wing it every time but I try to be thourough when I do testing as
I appreciate all the hard work that has gone in to this and want to make it better
When setting alarm . Using the option " speak time" still does not work or function.
I did let it go off, and yet no voice. If it all possible, if and when it does become availble please
include mutiple voices if you get a chance... thanx...
Z ...............
Edit :
I actually have off work today and ....Will be testing on my Backup device - Epic 4G today and will post results.... I
awesome feedback
Hey guys,
This is awesome feedback, especially zsibisi and zolaisugly am working hard on fixing all these bugs, will have another beta out tonight!

Allow a set seek interval for any swipe length

MX Player is awesome and I really need this feature. I would legit pay 100 bucks for this.
I would like to be able to set a seek interval (5 seconds) for any swipe length I do. Basically i just want to be able to swipe left or right and know that its going to FF or REW 5 seconds without having to worry about whether I was precise enough to get 5 seconds.
I do a lot of match reviews for a game me and my friends play, and I constantly have to rewind 5 seconds to review how a situation came about. Having to constantly swipe and make sure i didnt swipe too hard so i went back 15 seconds or I didnt swipe hard enough and only went back 1 seconds is a huge frustration.
I know you have the seek arrows, but they are small and actually difficult to hit every single time (bad dexterirty). Also the interface buttons obscure the match as I'm trying to watch it, so I really can't use it at all.
If you could just give an option that any swipe left = 5 seconds and any swipe right = 5 seconds I would be extremely happy.
Can you do this please?
If anyone else knows how to already accomplish what I'm after in some way, I'll gladly paypal you $100 for the help.
Thanks!

I understand what you are saying and i agree, you can set the seek speed per cm.
What I am asking for is an option to remove the per cm portion. I want to be able to swipe and know for a fact that my swipe will result in a set interval rewind. I dont want to have to swipe precisely and verify how far I'm swiping. I just want to be able to quickly perform the swipe and know it's going to go back 5 seconds.
I rewind constantly to review specific parts of the video I'm watching and it is such a pain to not be able to very quickly swipe and go back 5 seconds. I just need an option to go back 5 seconds regardless of how far I swipe. If it detects a swipe to the left, it goes back X number of seconds.
I know there is a setting like this for the rewind button, but that forces you to keep the button overlay on the video (obscures the video if you want to keep it up at all times) and its actually hard to hit consistently when you are rewinding over and over.
Please allow me to go back 5 seconds by swiping regardless of how far i drag my finger.
