Hi I am a student who is developing software for PDA's as part of a final year project and I am currently after obtaining an XDA of some sort for developing purposes. If anyone has one they are interested in selling please email me on martin.blow AT manchester.ac.uk

Dear Martin,
I have a very stable used XDA I for sale. In good condition, am living in The Netherlands. Best Regards, Simon
Or try e-bay, just tap O2 or XDA in the search engine. There are some great deals.

Just found this site. It's great and thanks. Especiall since I recently needed to unlock a Siemens SX56.
However, before I found the site, I found a schmoe on eBay (Tommy [[email protected]]) who was selling unlock software for $8 US. I bought it. Then I found this site, and realized what he was selling was the XDA Developers Special Edition ROM.
Isn't this totally wrong? Shall I report him to eBay?
Thanks.

So he copied the CDA-developers free software and sold it to you for a price? Some would say he was smart.
That's a matter for the developers of ths software and their license agreement (if they have one).
As with most things in the public domain, he can claim he is charging for the service of distributing the software rather than the software content, he is within his rights to do so.
This whole site is 'grey' at best (depending on where it is hosted of course) , so let's keep the authorities out of of it - OK???
Authorities :?: :?: :?:
The XDA IQ will be available internally on the 2nd, and publically on the 9th of May.
Havnt got a source, sorry, but I heard in good faith.
Finally, been waiting for o2 uk to release this phone for ages..
i have an xda atom (for about a month) which i'm thinking about selling and getting an xda iq instead... - anyone seen side by side photo comparisons of the two units? or maybe an tornado next to a prophet?
the atom is nice but i think i'd prefer going back to a normal phone form factor (so long as it isnt too big) and save myself about £100 in the process.
check this out: http://msmobiles.com/news.php/5105.html
Has photos of Xda Neo, IQ, Exec and HTC Star Trek.

Hi everyone,
I've just been on the phone to O2 regarding my contract with my XDA mini s that had ended. I asked if there was any new XDAs planning to be released. The lady on the phone said that there are two planning to be released on the 15th January 2007.
They are called:
XDA Zinc
XDA Exec Graphite
She didn't have any other details to give me but I am wondering if anyone else has heard about these and if anyone knows anymore information about them? If there good it would be worth me hanging about and upgrading in a few months.
Chris
Yep O2 seem to be telling people about these product names but not giving out any details, and thus far none of the regular mobile sites have any info on them. I guess since they are not using HTC anymore they have found a manufactuer who can keep their mouth shut
From what I have been able to find out Graphite will be running WM5 Smartphone and Zince will be running WM5 Pocket Pc. I got this from Asian site, I couldn't make out what the rest of it said
Hi again,
I've been crawling round the internet about this. From this site http://www.dtac.co.th/th/10digits/10dg_modellist.aspx they state in brackets that the Graphite is O2 Jupiter. Searching for O2 Jupiter turns back a fair few results. It looks like its being made by asus. In the results theres alot mentioned about O2 Mars which looks like the TyTN/wizard, specs look good having 520Mhz Intel processor, 64MB RAM, 128MB ROM etc. These of course could all be different phones but still interesting.

I called 02 today with regards to my ocntract upgrade. The only phone i'm interested in is the xda atom exec, so they mentioned that there are 2 (above stated) xda's comming out. She them put me on hold and came back after 5 min and said that the XDA Atom Exec is going to be the graphite and zinc with different specifications. This info came from o2 customers service, so i guess it's true and the release date is the 15th Jan.
well hopefully they introduce new data plans when they release these handsets because at the moment data charges cost a bomb!
XDA Zinc
I can't find anyone in O2 that seems to know any plans for releasing the Zinc in the UK.
:-(
im lookinf forward to this
Hi @ll..
yesterday is was in an O2 Store and there was an information, that the XDA Orbit 2 (it´s a HTC Touch Cruise i think), will be released by O2 on 2nd December.
At home i found on the internet, that O2 will also release an "XDA Stellar", but no information about when it will come in Germany?
I was astounded about that PDA!! And now I think it will necessarily have it!! THATs SO COOL!!
but i don´t know, what Accessories the O2 Device will bring with it.
Also i could buy the original HTC Tytn II (is that the Kaiser?), but i think the o2 will be cheaper with more Accessories..
Someone has more information about it??
thanxx 2 @ll
[NEWS]
I phoned with the customer support of o2..
now it seems, that the XDA Stella(r) will not come in Germay
Instead of this one, the XDA Orbit 2 will come out (aka HTC Touche Cruise)
with carholder, Tom Tom, etc..
And no i decided to buy an original HTC TyTN II
me, as one of O2 owner, will not buy any O2 product anymore,.
It is expensive, and bad in customer service,.
In atom forum, most people agree of not going to buy any O2 device,.
It is better to use a HTC device, so many useful apps, WM6 upgrade is prepared by the Official, and espesially good in customer service,.
look at the ATOM forum, me, they, and any others members, havent solve the problem for WM6 ROM, (so we dont have a perfect WM6 ROM yet)
but look at HTC device, any non-perfect ROM?? nope,.
that because they have an official WM6 ROM,.
@ Garmin
you are right..
so i decided to buy the one from HTC.
But i never had problems the support of o2 (germany). this was great!
And the thing, why i wanted the one from o2, are the accessories like full TomTom, things for the car and the second pen..
My hopes dashed
Just got my hopes up that the Stellar was going to answer my prayers but now discovered that it only has a 2.8" screen.
I've had an XDA IIi for almost three years now. About every six months I have a search for any worthwhile upgrades and keep being surprised that HTC haven't brought anything out. All I want is an XDA IIi (or equivalent with a 3.5" screen as I use it for lots of surfing) with fast web browsing (3G). GPS would be nice. A decent camera would be nice but I'm not that fussed.
The XDA Exec looked good but was just too heavy (and based on some friends' experiences quite buggy and unreliable).
The XDA Trion got my hopes up but only had the 2.8" screen.
Is it just me? I just can't believe it. I have other few friends clutching onto other XDAs as well because they don't want to downgrade to something else.
Maybe the Samsung F700 will do it...
Hello,
I got my HTC Desire two days ago from T-Mobile Germany and installed Theft Aware 2.0 Trial. Looked like a good security app and I was willing to pay the 10EUR, I think it's worth (license bound to IMEI, no monthly costs).
Today when I started the software a popup appeared telling me that there is a promotion from t-mobile giving free licenses for a few days, you just have to enter your mail address. A few seconds later I was looking at the full version and received a mail with the billing details (price: 0.00 Euro ).
Maybe someone else is interested in this nice app, too .
Best regards,
Wolfgang
Sweet !! I just went through the steps and got the free license as well.
Looks like the promo is from Jan 5th to the 9th or 19th.
Thanks Wolfgang.
Some comments/reviews here, please?
Did you also got the free Activation licence, because I tried on my Samsung Vibrant and it asked me to purchase the new licence.
Hi "05081983",
yes, I got the free license immediately. The promotion seems only to be for mobile customers from "Telekom Deutschland":

Thank you, I saw that you are from New York, so I thought that it would be available for T-mobile US also.
