There is two fixes for the JAM...:
First one to fix MMS problems (Unable to send & receive)... See attached file...
The second one is Photo quality enhancement ROM upgrade... find it here...:

I would like to test the Photo quality enhancement ROM upgrade on my MGA compact.
But i cannot get it (o2 IMEI needed!)

It seems the new extended rom included a patch file which will increase the default sharpness of the camera program.
The default sharpness setting is 10 now.
The attached file is the patch extract from the new extended rom.
I have tried the Photo Enhancement ROM, it made my O2 XDA MINI pictures worst...pictures got many white spots! Now, I dont know what to do.
Eiso the upgrade works fine with my MDA Compact so do not terrorize other MDA users with your problem! Your problem most probably has to do with a fawlty camera! Try to check with the service from where you bought it!
Photos are much better especially in low lighting conditions now!
Messed up my JAM
I think this must be specific to certain ROMs. My ROM 1.0.3.00 WWE with Middle East extensions (Arabizer etc etc) and this update completely messed up my Today screen with zig zag horizontal lines. Had to perform hard reset.
Seem not to work on my german t-mobile MDA compact, ROM 1.01.01 GER.
Same prob as cdx47 mentions (messing up today screen, easy to solve, just change today theme)
and
no visible changes in camera results, no changes in default sharpness value.
Does it really give better pics with other ROM versions?

You dont have to hard reset! That thing happens even if you restore a sprite backup too! You only have to change the theme to another one and then again to the one you want and everything will be ok!
More than that you need 2 files from the o2XDA mini exntended rom to fully install the upgrade. You will find the whole extended ROM of o2's XDA mini at the FTP server! I am using the imate arabizer ROM too and it works fine with my German MDA Compact!

What does this camera patch/upgrade do? Does it just increase the default sharpness level?

1- CameraWizard_O2Asia_Customize.CAB
2- CameraWizard_WWE_B19_to_RC14.CAB
the first one is about 58KB only and it has nothing to do with improving the photo quality, it is only to adjust the capture size when taking contact Photo.
the second file which is about 746KB contain same camera version 2.7 but newer build, but when i installed it i have lost all the colors and i stuck with gray scale photos only.
it seems this file will not work on all ROM version! for me, i am using original imate JAM ROM. other users with MDA devices don't have any problems with this file!

I just can't get the MMS functionality to work on my Qtek S100! :?
When trying to send/recieve it connects to the operator (Vodafone) but after that nothing happens. I can also see the small yellow sending icon at the top of the screen but still nothing happens. I'm quite sure I have set upp MMS correctly (with information from the Vodafone web site).
I also installed the MMS fix (posted on this thread) but it still doesn't work.
Anyone else having problems with sending/recieving MMS:es?

Katsj, do you have any sample photos from the old and new rom to compare?
I'm using a Qtek S100. No problem with MMS. Works fine (send and receive). Tested with Orange CH.

No patch. But I installed the french rom. Don't remember if I tried MMS with the original english rom.
I just ran the patch above on my QTek S100 and now MMS seems to work smooth, so for everyone who doens't do the ROM update this is a solution,

I am not a newbee using of a PDA, I am working with wm2005 for more than a year, but I am still a newbee with my new S200.
I installed this very nice rom AKU3.3-Jester-b1, and after installing the battery fix everything seemed to run normal, except the camera!
I find probs like I have on my hima running aku 3.3 or 3.5, such as rotated pictures. Only with this camera the probs are worse. The pictures are not stored where I wanted to store, even when I change the target. But even worse, the pictures are completely wrong (see below). I installed the camera patch from this forum and maybe this is causing more probs. I takes a lot of time to save the pic and most of the time you need to press the camera button again to stop it, then you find this result.
Does anyone have a solution?
I have a JAMin G3 with this same ROM and no camera patches, and I do not have any problem with the camera, neither taking pictures nor having it save them directly to the storage card instead of the main memory.
Maybe you put the patch that enables the extended memory for writing? The camera then tries to save there, it does not see the SD card. Or maybe you have afaulty SD card?

have you overclock your s200? if yes, don't overclock and you will see a miracle
by the way... can i synchronizise via Bluetooth with this Rom?

When I was on AKU3.3 I used to have intermittent problems with the camera too. It used to show some funny green lines but closing the camera and opening it again used to fix the problem (sometimes).
Using the camera when overclocked was impossible.

Interesting, I didn't know that. Probably coz I only overclock when using GPS or playing some heavy game.
don't overclock your CPU and camera stays fine...
green scanlines, weird photos and videos only happen when your prophet is overclocked!
this is an old issue... more than discussed here... just read the entire thread.

are you still use Aku 3.3.07 from aserg? i want also upgrade, but not sure, if i should take aserg's or Jesterz's-
What do you think, witch one is more stable. I don't need USB charge, but i syncronisize via Bluetooth very often... so in this case, bluetooth frofile must ok, also after softreset

WRONG!
I am running my prophet at 252MHz, and my camera is perfectly fine!!!! No green pixels, no funny pictures! The only trick is you need to install the old camera driver from JAMin 2.13 ROM or Dopod 2.15 ROM. The QTEK 2.20 ROM use a new camera driver, but unfortunately, the new driver is not compatible with overlocking.
I installed the QTEK 2.20 ROM, and installed the old camera driver, and then everything is perfectly fine.
Just one thing, if you are using AKU3.3 ROM or QTEK 2.20 ROM, and if you want to overlock your prophet, you have to install the old camera driver!!!!!!!!!!!

the ASerg's AKU3.3 seems a lot more stable and bug less than the Jesterz one...
im my phone BT profiles are kept after every softreset...
and most important... it does not crash like Jesterz AKU 3.3 did with my prophet.
but still this is far from being the perfect rom...
the msn/live messenger doesn't work, the screen stops responding to the stylus some times and you need to realign the screen, rear speaker plays along while using headphones or BT headphones (needs a softreset everytime you connect the headphones to solve this), and some other minor, but some times crucial bugs...
but returning to the question... yeah mate, give ASerg's AKU3.3 a try!

Where I must insert a old driver? What directory?
Copy the camera driver file via activesync into your prophet to any directory you want (like TEMP directory), and than tap on it with the stylus.
I have done as you say but nothing doesn't happen. every file makes me this error: there are no in partnership applications. to start the application and to retry. but I cannot start the camera. how do I do?

As the title says, this is a WinMo 6.1 hybrid, with Vodafone ROM + Radio (both newest), OEM section from the HTC latest build and .net CF / SQL Mobile removed so that you can switch between either 2.0 or 3.5 installs at your leisure using the appropriate CAB (good for developers who are testing!)
This ROM is therefore 'in a HTC style' but with the good bits from the Vodafone ROM.
NO OTHER CHANGES!
Aside from .net changes, the contents of this ROM are completely stock.

am using this rom now and i like it!
works fast, after tweaks and all - very very nice
tried the 3.03 one - nice and fast but couldn't handle the cannot soft reset issue
i soft reset quite often to keep memory and all clean and neat
so didn't like having to pull my stylus to do that all the time esp when i notice the stylus holder getting a little looser...
then tried the vodafone one
everything was ok - but seemed to be laggy on some programs (visible on graphics and video)
then i got onto this hybrid! and must say i am really quite happy.
used ppchanger to set to 50mb but just read a post by tom_codon that it doesn't actually change the pp and it has to be done by XIP so not sure if that madeany difference...

it works great, but has a MoDaCo thing on splash screen xD.. that sucks.. well maybe a splash screen flash can fix it..
well.. in general it works fine, it looks like the HTC stock rom and it has better performance than the other 2 "official" versions.

I like this ROM as well, been good so far.
One oddity which I'm not sure if was the case on the stock Vodafone ROM, is when I've imported text messages from a backup these are not sorted correctly in the threaded SMS. For example all the ones I've sent are at the end and all the ones received are at the beginning, so they are not sorted from a backup and so are not threaded correctly. When new texts arrive these are okay and show as expected. This could be a problem for those who like to keep a history of texts and need to restore from a backup.

OK, new issue... the keyboard is not working exactly correctly with this ROM on my Tilt. The keys are remapped for the function combos (perhaps others, but have not noticed). I'll search for a solution, but if anyone can point me in the right direction...
use the tilt keyboard fix. u can find it in duttys place.

Has anyone been able to get MMS working in wm 6.1? This seems to be the last hurdle for me. I have included screen shots of the registry.
I know where the settings are supposed to be modified. I am wondering what value goes under "ConnectionVia" is it the GUID of the connection or the connection name (see below)? Are there any other changes that need to be made there or elsewhere to make it work properly? TIA.

will this work on my immix htc s621 upgraded from wm 6.0 to wm 6.1 i upgraded with the Kavana’s 6.1 ROM - Remade by Ricky. after i did i could not send or recieve mms or get on the internet was on the phone for 4 hours with a immix tech got the internet and sending mms fixed but still cant receive mms please HELP very lost with this

I haven't tried the Video Call since we don't have that service. However, everything else you listed works great. The camera and video are exceptionally fast to start. The latest camera is included.

The ROM works well. I have been using it for a few days now. I'm getting some skipping with my Motorola S9 headsets. Also when I get an email or text, I cannot tap the message icon in the top bar. These are the only two problems I've found with this ROM.
Also most of the WM6.1 ROM do not work with TCPMP. This one is no exception.
Does anyone got any news about official WM6.1? or never?

Yeah i know about those two version (standard & Lite) but it just doesn't work for me. tried both of them... got problems with the ringtones and some other little things.

The standard version from dubai is OK for the Ringtone problem just simplifly click event dropdown and select item "Phone:Known Caller" the Ring type will display correct. Over all of this rom it work so smoothly.

6.1 is just so much snappier than 6...
the biggest drawback i've had so far is the fact i cannot send MMS messages on 6.1 tried all settings etc.
revert back to 6 and it works. i'm struggling to deal with the LAGGINESS of 6 but waiting for someone to find a fix to MMS and 6.1
or i'll cave and get a nokia e71.

use the normal 6.1 and not the lite version . see here:

(when you use the lite version, there is solution - install the palm message software. my recomodation is - install the normal version).
you have no problems with mms on 6.1 normal? that was the version i was using...

I am using normal 6.1 and in Vodafone AU. MMS works well
I'm on Telstra - AU, to get MMS working with 6,1 I had to edit the network configuration within messaging.

The Message Centre number was correct, but had to change MMS gateway & MMS URL
Works perfect now.
