Hi,
I recently upgraded my XDAII ROM and since then my phones keypad which is set to the O2 skin which I don't want. Infact I had a better one before that but can't remember how I set it up. So my question is how can I change the skin and are there places where you can download new phone keypad skins?
thanks
Paul.
search for DesignLab or Dialpad maker..
why not search the forum on 'dialer' and 'skin'

Hi,
Sorry the website isn't in English, do you know if these skins are designed for the Gigabyte g-Smart, or are they just ones without the call buttons?
Also, if I download will the skins appear on my device in English? Do they take account of the regional settings, or are they graphics and therefore the language shown will be the language on my phone?
Cheers!
Dave.
All QVGA skins posted in this forum or Buzz dev can b used including E-Ten skins..but remember,,the speaker phone option doesn't work with E-Tem skin..am trying to fix that will soon post here..
Does anybody know how to change the default keyboard skin into a colored one. I found an example (and way how to do it) but that's for the WM2003 environment.
The solution I'm looking for is for Windows Mobile 6.
Who can help me (and maybe more people who are reading this) ?
The url of the example: http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5519
what makes you think it's different from 2003?
here are some that works just fine for wm5

It's not what I think, it's what I notice
It doesn't work on my HTC Touch with WM6
Wow, thanks really nice looking hacked-default keyboard. Anyone can get it to work in HTC Touch or WM6 yet?
I have been trying unsuccessfully to change my 3D dialer skin to something more attractive.
Has anybody actually managed to change a skin by installing a CAB and have it work?
I much prefer the look of the standard windows dialler. The button layout is much more attractive than a solid block of grey and the 3G dialler.
I have tried every way I can think of but am still stumped.
Is it just a TYTN II problem?
This is a General Question & belongs in the General Kaiser forum. Please excersize proper forum etiqute & place posts/questions where they are relevant or within an existing dialpad skin thread. Thank you.
Yes it works. You may already have the default dialer in your device BTW. DL KaiserTweak & see if you can use the change dialer tweak to toggle between the MS & HTC dialpads. Or use your search function to find one of the dialer threads such as the onw started by Nadavi.
Done that

I had already done all of that and tried switching to the windows dialer before installing the Nadavi dialer etc. with no avail. It may be a Tytn II specific problem.
as in the topic, anybody knows how to change the dial pad skin? it's just ugly and since the treo doesn't have the 'phone' application as such, all the nice skins just don't work :/

I tried asking a question very similar to this a little while back and got no responses. Good luck.

Search more. There was a thread about that (disabling activecall plugin, changing registry) and it IS possible.

I see. So it is tied into the activecall plugin then? That thing is handy, but they made it way too integrated with everything else (i.e. carrier name on today screen, dial from today screen). They should have separated it into different plugins.
that is so true, i mean - i could live without the today screen dialing as i the htc home speed dial thingie bob altho, the red cnl call button screen off feature is a must in order to squeeze a half-decent battery life out of the stock treo battery pack;
i have to admit i just got my treo (read: after years and years of being a faithfull fan i forced myself to replace my nokia with a wm phone) a week ago and didn't upgrade to wm6.1 yet; this is planned and will happen as soon as i get a chance to; the question is, do the wm6.1 images come with this plugin or not?

I am not using 6.1 yet, but ask that question in the ROM forum for better answers:

WM6.1 roms have dial lookup and active call plugins.
Hi,
HTC touch HD and other recent HTC phones have a very nice dialpad that's much better than standard WM6.x one.
Is there a way to install just that dialpad without everything else from M2D? I'm looking everywhere for it, but all I can find is ROMs that include it, but not a separate application.
Thanks
P.S. my phone is QVGA E-Ten x600

Two words of advice:
1) Make sure you install the version that is compatible with your device
2) Back up your current configuration anyway!
