Flashing T-Mobile MDA Compact with iMate JAM ROM???

I managed to get an iMate JAM on my hands this morning! I dumped the ROM with the d2s command in my SD card then I copied it with my card reader and NTRW to my pc as JAM.nb1. I thought that if I was changing the first 416bytes of JAM's ROM with the header of my MDA Compact's that it would be flashable as we did with the German and the English ROM upgrade. BUT didn't work it probably has a different country code. So could anybody help in making this JAM's ROM flashable to the MDA Compact. It happens to be a newer version than the MDA Compact's version.

The only thing you have to do is just replace the first 416bytes with the header of your GERMAN ROM backup!!!! I will be uploading it later tonight!

where is this magic rom ?

I have problems with my connection I will try to get it to a friend who will upload it as soon as possible! its 193MB rar file

I downloaded first file for 15MB but it seems very strange to me. Can anyone explain what the difference between these two files is?

Hmmm… the second 25MB file is also strange. When they are unzipped first is 32 MB second 60MB when I open them with HEX editor first 416b are all zero, so I see no header from I-mate like it was in German ROM from T-mobile. Can anyone confirm the successful flashing with these files? I am a bit afraid to flash it because the better is an enemy of a good! :?

Who can I also dump the radio ROM? Any ideas? iMate JAM has a newer Radio ROM!!!! Please help while I still have it here!

if i would flash this rom into a t-mobile locked mda compact will it remove the simlock?
it's verry possible that this is a verry stupid question but it's gonna be my first MDA

Ok! Jam ROM is working, but I see no dramatic changes from T-mobile. More of that, customization failed because it tried to load some Arabic settings. Was it worth it? May be somebody would post original Jam ROM from England?
eltinio I suppose flashing would not help you to unlock your MDA. Look in a forum for solution, it should be there.

Hi, anyone can dump the full rom (with radio and header).
I tried many times to copy the header into, but it is failed.

I up(?)-graded my MDAc German ( t-mobile) to iMate JAM wwe ROM.
hasslefree...but a little bit anxious ...
Since than i am not able to send MMS Messages.
GPRS Settings also not work :-(
I also tried to load parts of the german ext.ROM ... boys ...tell you : a mess- hardreset is the best way out of that.
I compared the cabs of the ROMS to find out settings : nothing new.
Anybody helpful hints??

Is this a universal problem guys? A T-Mobile/Jam witout GPRS and MMS is useless to me.
Or is it just a case of enabling these services with the provider and entering the relevant settings?

Seems to be a setting problem...nothing to worry about but it s*x a little bit.
Although most of problem are solved with the WWE.
Anybody helpful hints with my WWE/T-Mobile problem??

Orange M500 Rom

Hi been browsing the site for ages now, and thought that i'd register and post my first question.
I have a s100 with an orange sim card, and was wondering if anyone has a Orange M500 rom, and if so is it worth upgrading to get all the orange stuff??

Just went from original orange rom (SPV M500) to the 1.12 Qtek rom and i don't have the feeling i'm missing anything.
To be honest i didn't even bother to backup the original rom, not worth the disk space.

But does the M500 rom not include BT voice dialling?

I have an Orange M500 and upgraded to a Qtek 1.12 ROM I forgot to backup my original M500 rom! is it possible for someone to upload to the xda-ftp!

Could someone detail what is in the Orange ROM that that isn't in the (eg) i-Mate ROM.
Would I be right in assuming that the Orange ROM takes up more space than the i-Mate ?

I am actualy suprised that it is not branded "orange" to the eyeballs.

if the M500 is the same as my c500 then there is no native send via bluetooth support. On my c500 i used Smart explorer which has the option to send via bluetooth. Don't think there is a ppc version available. Maybe try resco. I was getting to grips with my m500, until i combined it with a pint of water and now its a dead machine, waiting for tests from the mobileshop!

okay, i found out how to do it....and its bizzar!
you beam it, like IR.
its odd, i phoned up orange and they didnt have a clue, if you turn off beam in connections it wont allow you to send or recive files.

Thanks for your reply, but, i know, and i have searched for the GER ROM x times, found the FTP link ........but i can find nothing, especially, i am despondent that on the FTP site there is not a ROM which call O2 xdamini GER shiped rom existing.......the other way round, there are many Ger ROM on the FTP, but they are all T-Moblie GER ROM or other, not O2 xdamini GER_shipped ROM!

I have just made a backup of the german O2 ROM of my Xda mini (brand new, bought at the beginning of the month).
It's a 128 mb .nb1 file because I used a 128Mb SD card.
If someone can explain me how to put if on the ftp, I could help you.

I also would urgently need this O2 ROM Version (which i cannot find through all the WEB)
as a completely beginner (and fool as i know now), i Updated my ROM to the T-Mobile one (MDA) , without making a Backup first...
Thank God, it worked out fine, but I am missing some of the O2 functionalities and I did not notice any remarkable improvements...
I do not know, how to ftp Upload - have you done it in the meantime? PErhaps you can send it to me in an other way?

I am using XDA Neo (identical to imate JAMin, DOPOD 818Pro, QTEK S200). After I installed the JAMin WWE ROM, I lost the original O2 theme. I liked it very much. Could someone please give me the tsk file from your O2 device? I think it is located in windows directory. And any O2 device should contain that file, I guess. But I prefer the file from WM2003SE or WM5 device. Thank you very much!

Actually, I am looking for the windows mobile theme with the bubble images and O2 logo. If any of you have that, please share with me.

what you have done actually..
o2 has official rom at o2 site...
o2 germany.. you can download from there..

I have the same problem.
I went back to a pdaviet wm5 version and then applied the official o2 update.
Everything worked fine except for the boot screens. I cannot change the first one (HTC screen).
I'm urgently looking for a working nk.nbf file which will restore my o2 bootscreen (the blue bubble screen) so that I can send in my HTC prophet for waranty.

That's exactly what I did, but this update didn't change the bootscreens back to the o2-ones...
