Hi Jockey,
Check out XSForms and XSDesigner by GrendaSoft - I use their database designer and forms tool to run a DB on the PPC for asset audits. They've done some work on barcode entry too, and you can either sync to Access DB via activesync (there's plenty of info about doing so on their forums), or simply export to XML or CSV file which you can then import into a database.
These apps are both currently free.

Hi All,
I've tried searching the forums, but couldn't quite find what I was looking for.
In my line of work, I have the need to many different complex passwords. Each of which change at different intervals, and have different logins.
I am looking for:
An application which will securely store my passwords on my device. I used to have a fantastic memory, but more recently due to the increase in accounts and password policies, I find I am using the "I forgot my password" routine more frequently. Ideally something I can use on both the main PC and sync with the device would be cool, but not essential.
I've looked at SplashID and CodeWallet Pro.
Are there any applications the folks within XDA Devs can recommend?
Cheers
WTFH
PS. Don't suggest Post-It's stuck to the monitor, or using my memory!
I'm using KeePass, on both the PC and my WM6 device.
PC version is at: http://keepass.info/
PPC version is at: http://keepasssd.sourceforge.net/
My password file is in a folder I sync with the desktop.

Hi,
What is the most convenient application to open a .sdf database file on the Pocket PC ?
I have tested Microsoft Query Analyzer, but it is really not convenient to access the database for reading its data. Microsoft Query Analyzer is for development purpose, I guess. What application is able to display a .sdf database to use it for reference ?
Thanks for your advice, Chris
Write your own using .NET CF. It's not that hard.
Do you know a good tutorial giving an example of viewing a .sdf on a PocketPC ?
Chris
Hi guys !
I have found an application able to display the content of a .sdf file, it is: Pocket DB.
Unfortunately although the application features are great, the application interface is horrible.
Or backup SMS llke plain text first , and then print them via the PC.
I like to know how and what program to use?
If you can read Simplified Chinese, the extremely powerful free tool Smarthelper (掌智手机助手) is second to none.
Use the Desktop SMS Manager from @infopete - get it here
Mark.
Thanks Guy's
and my Chinese is not the best
Couldn't get it working. Found SMSimport which import and export messages as .xml
But I like to have it exported as .txt

...in that case, if you've got €8 to spare, take a look at SMSExporter from Stefan Seiz - get it here - it can export as .TXT or .CSV so it should do everything you want
Hope that helps,
Mark.
I know it's an old topic, if you like it simple SMSImport is just the ticket.
MS Excel does a very good job at importing XML files, and arranging your data how you like & print them out.. best of all IT'S FREE!! Thanks goes to the Author

Check out GCstar for the desktop and GCstar Viewer for android (in the market)
Gcstar is a cross platform collections management tool. It imports and exports loads of formats. Works for games and books and whatever it us you collect. Currently the android app is just a viewer. I hope it gets some love as an input device soon...
I use Movie Collector from Collectorz.com
I had the iPhone version of it for a few years and recently switched to the Android version. It has a desktop app that you can scan barcodes into and then the phone app that you can sync your collection to.
You can't scan the barcodes with the phone yet, but they say that they plan to add that feature.

although lacking the scan feature, otherwise this will work great, the fact I can enter the name and it will search all the other details makes it almost as easy as a barcode scanner anyways.
I could use some help figuring out how the csv import feature works... other then that, I thank you much for the input guys

Did you sort out your CSV issues...
I notice that the default separator is a semicolon when I open the importer. If you have a bunch of data in a comma separated file then you should change the semicolon to a comma. Also, you have to make the appropriate adjustments to the "fields to be imported" to let it know what is what.

@Zorge.R Project dead? Would be a shame, it seems quite interesting to me but it doesn't appear to have received any updates since Nov 2013 and Play Store reviews are generally bad. Any plans to revive this?
