Looks like you'll be one of the few. I thought this phone would be worth waiting for, while putting up with the XDA2.
I can't imagine why they binned it...
Well i have no clue either dude - this phones pretty coool i m lucky i got 2 of these i sold 1 so far one is up for sale - who ever pays me good it goes to him
They binned it because all of their recent phones have been junk. Lots of glitz features, but they don't work worth a damn. I went through two V600s, they were horrible. Both would drop calls in specific places in town, every time I went through them. No other phones did this. Both would lock up randomly (at least every other day, usually more often). I'd have to remove and replace the battery.
Then there was the MPx220 fiasco. How many times did they recall those from the stores for fixes? Last I looked into it, they still sucked. Compared to the SMT5600 (which I used for a couple months), they are pure crap.
Moto wised up and cancelled their contract with their cheap Chinese manufacturer and are moving the manufacturing back to their own plants. That will take a while to ramp up, so I imagine they decided to try to salvage their reputation by taking these phones off the market.
Then we have the carriers, who are just ****ting themselves at the thought of people being able to roam across VoIP/Wi-Fi and not use their networks. They know they are screwed, but they want to delay it as much as possible. I'm sure they put pressure on Moto. Most of the cell phone market is driven by the carriers, not the consumers, at least in the US.
And then there's China...whose government refused to allow the sale of Wi-Fi capable phones unless they went through some special certification process of their own design, and Moto told them to bugger off, figuring it wasn't worth it.
This phone got binned as well because its storage sucks my a..!!! 32mb use able haha. Yeah right. Why dont you just buy an XDA IIi. 128mb rom and 128 sdram. 520mhz intel chip, can you feel the need for speed?
Hey!
I also own the MPx and got the Feb 8 (test version) from howardforums. I'm really interested in what ROM version you have and if you find a way to extract the ROM, can you please send me a copy?
Thanks so much...
btw, my email add is [email protected]
Hey guys,
Following my success selling stuff on here before I thought I'd try my 9502. Basically, my 9502 was faulty so I-Mate have sent me a brand new one, boxed with all acessories and unlocked to any network. I haven't even opened it yet.
I really want a Touch Pro so I'm going to sell this as brand new (or would accept a trade).
It still retails at about £440 so I would accept about £390 or reasonable offers.
I'm sure most of you will know the specs, but here they are in a nutshell:
- Platform Microsoft® Windows Mobile® 6.0 Professional (upgradabe to WM6.1)
- Processor/ Chipset • 400 MHz Qualcomm® MSM 7200™
- Memory 256 MB ROM 128 MB RAM
- 2.8” VGA (640×480) Touch-screen
- GSM / GPRS / EDGE/HSDPA/HSUPA
- Quad-band 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
- 3.0 Megapixel auto-focus camera with LED Compensation light and VGA camera for Video Calls
- WiFi 802.11 b/g
- Inbuilt GPS compatible with Tomtom etc.
- Full qwerty keyboard.
-Connect to a TV or projector with the included cable.
Reply or PM me for more details/offers.
I bought my first phone last year and it was the Nexus S. I ended up breaking the screen to an unfixable state so when I paid the $100 deductible I was given the Samsung conquer.... The conquer was awful and it gave out only 3 months after I got it. So sprint then gave me the EVO 3D and the guy there acted as if I was getting a "double upgrade" but I'm still wishing I had my nexus. I'm a tech rookie so I was wondering if the sprint guy was right about the EVO 3D being an amazing phone .

Looking at the specs I would say you did well 1 GHZ single core CPU to a dual core 1.2GHz Snapdragon:good :good:

If you broke it there's not much to complain about. At least you have a decent smart phone now that works

Hello everyone ... I would like to ask which is the best smartphone with these features:
- Easy to unlock the bootloader.
- Easy to root
- Reboot the phone with root without key combinations.
- No warning about unlocked booloader (this is not essential)
The budget does not interest me the important is that it has these functions.
Thanks everyone for the help.
