My wife uses her MDA to access her work email in OWA but has issues opening PDF docs. A script alert pops up when she tries to open a PDF attachment that says we need to right click to save it to the drive first. Anyone know how to get around that and download the file?
OK so my Google sync has been playing up so I thought (always a mistake) I'll do as the ActiveSync error message says and delete the partnership.
All Calender and Contacts deleted, bugger.
Next, I thought, haha I've had this before - I've used MyPhone as a double backup. Sync succesfully completed, now MyPhone has no Calender or Contacts!!!! Bugger again
Thats OK I'll export the .csv from Google and restore into the phone using a handy app that someone on xda-dev is bound to have written. 2 hours later searching the forum and fiddling with .csv .zip and .pib files, I'm still none the wiser. I've tried the 2 iterations of PIMBackup (the 1.6 .cab and the 2.8 .exe) and I've tried zipping the .csv and renaming as .pib but I just get error messages.
Am I being totally thick? Is there a program that can handle the standard outlook .csv files except outlook (I've a netbook that I don't want to encumber with Outlook)?
Please Help
Matt
I have HTC Imagio use gmail through MS exchange. I have noticed native created .pdf or .jpg images, do not have any problem opening when received as email attachment. However if the pdf or jpg image is a scanned image saved as .pdf file, I can not open the attachment either with outlook interface or with native gmail on mobile browser. Is there a fix for this. This is very important to me since I also receive fax sent as .pdf image to email. I was able to open the attachments in iPod Touch not on Win mo device. Thanks
Hi,
I use Outlook for years now and saved a lot of mails. All of this mails are saved usinf the extension .msg with unicode formatting.
On my old Windows Mobile phone I had no trouble opening this files. But my HD2 doesen't seem to be able to open them.
I tried using different applications to read the file but none of them seemed to work(using myExtension software).
I wanted to know if there was a way to read these mails on my phone?.
Thanks

nobody knows how I can open .msg extensions?
i open attachments normally on my galaxy tab 10.1 but today something weird happened i have my gmail and hotmail on the tab. i received the same mail on both of them containing a pdf attachment. the attachment opened from the gmail, but did not open from the hotmail.
i tried to send various other attachments to both my mails, and they opened normally on both mails, including pdf files.
i tried forwarding teh same mail to myself again on hotmail, and instead of opening the attachment, saving it. it saved fine and then i was able to open it.
i am inquiring because it is just one instance with one pdf attachment on hotmail. so i was wondering if it has any reasonable explanation
