I HAVE TRIED SETTING UP AN ACTIVESYNC CONNECTION BETWEEN MY XDA2 AND PC VIA BLUETOOTH ( I HAVE A USB DONGLE), BUT EVEN AFTER FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS TO SET IT UP I GET A MESSAGE SAYING, 'PLEASE START BONDING WITH OTHER BLUETOOTH DEVICE WHICH SUPPORTS SERIAL PORT OR ACTIVESYNC PROFILE AS YOUR ACTIVESYNC PARTNER!'.
I HAVE SEARCHED THROUGH THE INSTRUCTION MANUALS THAT CAME WITH THE XDA BUT IT HAS NO CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO SET UP AN BLUETOOTH ACTIVESYNC CONNECTION.
CAN ANYONE PLS GIVE ME SOME HELP WITH THIS ?
try installing this

Hi community!
I have an USB Bluetooth on my desk computer which has a permanent internet connection. I want to connect to internet with my XdaII and i want to use the computer's internet connection.(and also use bluetooth to sync my pda.) I tried the "connect via bluetooth" option in Activesync program on my pda but nothing happens although bluetooth is on and my computer is discoverable.
Does anybody know how to solve this problem?
Thank you for your time.
If you set your Activesync to stay connected after you sync, you should be able to use the internet through that connection.
I just tried it and I am getting 483k transfer speeds.
Thanks,
IceCream

did you follow the guide as in
add a com port as bluetooth on both the pc and on the pda
and bound with the pc checking out that you wanted to sync that way ?
thank you rudegar, i tried it 3 times again and on the third time it connected
thank you for your time.
i can connect to internet easily now.
Hi again and again folkes!!!
I recently instaled the (in)famous bluesoil bt stack that was found in a recent topic here at xda... first impression was good but... there is always a but... i've noticed that it ****s up my gprs connection and my modem settings... gprs network card disapears even when i return to MS BT... any soluction to solve this problem? i use the S110 to connect to msn in a regular basis and it sucks not being able to use it... and if someone bothers.. how (dont know if its possible) to stream video/sound from my pc via bluetooth and how to acess shared folders in my pc from the pocket also via bt? i already set auto ip(DHCP) in both... no way... assigned ip's in both and still nothing. If someone give it a time to post a How-to about PAN and VCN(control pc with pocket via bt) and other nice but strange to most users it would be very apreciated.
Deactivate the GPRS before installing
which installer of blusoleil stack do u use? is it the xxx.r2.arm ?
in this case the gprs problem should not appear, otherwise, you have to disconnect the GPRS so that only the white "G" appears.
installing the stack with shown the "G" only the GPRS Settings will work well after installation.
but another question, do u use the pan? and if its working for you
can u PLEASE post all the settings of your 3 lan adapters (btpda btwin and lanwin)
*gate/ip/dns/sub for each adapter and the ics on which adapter.
i'm getting the same error message every time if i try to activate the ics.
(like: 192.168.0.1*needed for ics could not be assigned, the ip adress is assigned to another pc in the network) i'm using german xp, don't know the exact words.
after reading 1000 posts and trying this all the last week and the pan won't work.
thx for every tip

I am having trouble with ActiveSync and WM5 devices. My laptop has an Intel 220BG wireless card with current Intel/HP drivers installed and working. When I connect my Jasjar or Tytn via USB cable, the wireless will disconnect when activesync opens. Additionally, all other users on my network are disconnected at the same time. Somehow Activesync or one of its parts is disrupting the network. The problems will go away when I disconnect the device (sometimes it requires a reboot, but connection is usally established in about two miniutes.)
If I am connected via hardwire I do not have the problem. I can have connection via both hardwired and wireless and not have the disconnect. It is only when the wireless is my only connection.
I have googled the problem and found others with the same symptoms, but none with a valid solution.
Any help will be appreciated.
I expanded my search and reduced my terms and discovered this post. The change to advanced usb setting resolved my problem. I've read it many times...the answer is here, just use the search!
Thanks for your good work...

One thing to do is:
Turn OFF the advanced USB setting
Start--Settings--Connection tab--USB to PC icon
....

Click to collapse
Hi @all,
I try to connect my Kaiser via Bluetooth over my Laptop.
Somehow my Bluetooth will not manage to dial through the Kaiser...
I have Vista installed and i use Vodafone for HSDPA....
I do also have "Bluetooth Peripherical Device" Error
If I go to Bluetooth PAN it will not show my Kaiser...
any Ideas on this problem?
All i want is to use my Kaiser'S modem to connect to internet or at least share the given connection back to my laptop....
Hey
I just installed OCTAVOI 6 and it's great. Just that I can't get ActiveSync working through Bluetooth. In my device I can only see Serial Port, no ActiveSync Service, though I setup my Bluetooth on the PC and made an incoming COM port which I also set in "Allow connections from" in ActiveSync (I have ActiveSync 4.5). What can be wrong? Is there any way to make it work? I can transfer files from my Wizard to the PC and vice-versa (using Bluetooth) but I can't connect ActiveSync with bluetooth.
Thanks
