Help, I'm in the middle of trying to bond the navman 4410 to my XDA II now it's asking for a 'PIN' not sure what it means as I can't find anything from the navman instructions refering to 'PIN' can anybody help........... :?
Best Regards
Maybe try 0000
'pin' number can only be 1 to 16, tried all these, still no bond.
I'm totally confused :? , bloody bluetooth
I think the pin is "NAVMAN", you will need to download a patch that allows you to use characters as well as numbers. If you search on this site for navman I am sure you will find what you are lookin for.
Help!!!!!!
I've got the patches, download the 'enablecharpin' exe file to the XDA followed the instructions from the navman web site, when I click the exe file I get the following error 'enablecharpin is not a valid pocket pc application'
what am I doing wrong????????????

Hello,
Did anybody try and succeeded to operate the Pharos iGPS-SD, tyats the SDIO GPS, on the XDA II, regardless of rom version?
DID anybody try and failed?
Please people, let me have input on this, as I did buy the unit but was not able to make it work on my XDA II.
Any constructive help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
ygolan
Works for me on my i-mate with the 1.52 ROM.
Jon.
Jon,
Thanks!! now I have a lead, but, I still need your help.
Can you be more specific:
1. which drivres did you use? the ons supllied with the unit?
2. Do you use a bundle that came with the SDIO unit for maps?
3. Can you be more specific about Rom details? is it identical to any XDA II rom we know about?
Thanks again
Yuval
Jon,
Can you also please tell me which com port (serial port) is used by the SDIO unit?
None of the GPS programs I used was not able to identify it in any com.
Thanks
Yuval
I bought the package that came with the Golf software, as I already owned Ostia from another pharos product. I used the enclosed iGPS-SD driver disk, and then used Pharos Ostia from the previous product. It mapped itself to COM4, which became an issue with the I-Mate ROM 1.6x series, as it wanted to use COM4 for bluetooth, so I kept it at 1.52.
After installing the drivers, you should be able to select COM4 manually from Ostia. I found autodetection to not work properly.
Jon.
Jon,
This is great help... Now I feel I am going somewhere...
Can I use the 1.52 rom on my XDAII? and if I can, where can I get it?
Thanks again
Yuval
ps - this means the driver assigns the SDIO to be com 4 ? and it must be free... ?
Hi,
does anyone know how to get this working under WM2005?
TIA!
Never mind, found it myself!
Thanks for your support, it was really overwleming.......
Dodger, do you want to post your findings for the benefit of those who might have the same problem? I've never tried the program myself, looks a bit, um, garish?
V
OK Vjay, here it is:
Well, when installing under WM2005 it says you need
evb_runtime.exe.
But according to MS this won't install under WM2005
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/mobility/windowsmobile/downloads/evb.aspx)
because WM2005 uses .net (?).
Next step is to find the evb_runtime.exe but than the CAB-file.
This is msvbppc.armv4.cab.
Than drag it to your PPC and let it instaal itself.
There can be a language problem, but a workaround for this
can be found here:
http://support.pinpointtools.com/es...84&PHPSESSID=e1e9567980fb29986b17705eb671460e
Or search Google for "msdaernl.dll failed load"
After this Pocket Breitling runs perfect.
Good stuff. What do you think of the program?
V
Like it,
but of course it's BlingBling....

I have Garmin mobile xt on my htc s710. It works perfect. Go to \h##p://www.pda4x.com/ and search for garmin. You will find everything.
I have an older chinese GPS receiver where I wanted to change the link in menu and replaces file ResidentFlash/mobilenavigator/mobilenavigator.exe with mort script. The original file is in the same folder but with the name mobilenavigator_old.exe After reset I see boot loader going without any errors then see sand clock sign, and then black screen with nothing on it but it's responding on clicks with the sound. No ActiveSync connection with the device, however PC "feels" the USB device and recognizes it as "SEC S3C2410X Test B/D". Installing SECdriver doesn help, no connection. Placing various files and folders on SD doesnt help, I tried 2577/Autorun.exe , shell.ini , YFGo2CE.bld , neither of those help. There is original folder on SD called mobilenavigator and there is original path mobilenavigator/2577/Autorun.exe but nothing works.
The device itself looks exactly thike this one: http://www.100-gift.com/custom_product/2/2516-4/GPS-Navigation35-Inch-H035-301096.html The processor ARM926M 266MHz, Pictures of menus taken from another forum are here: http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/5398/oldg750.jpg and here: http://img102.imageshack.us/img102/1070/gps.jpg Any help would be very appreciated, I need to fix this animal as soon as possible.
SOLUTION:The device called Menq v350 (too long to explain how I found it out) or it's twin called BluePanther v350. The BluePanther has firmware on the web here: http://pdaplus.hu/content/view/4276/1/ I removed BOOT loader from firmware to make safer upgrade and upgraded the device. Now it works great.
Hello brack11,
Thanks to your posting, I can now identify my chinese pna.
I would be most obliged if you could share how you removed the BOOT loader from the firmware.
Also my unit is running Win CE 4.2. I have no problems loading iGO 8, Amigo and Primo. However loading Garmin still eludes me till today. I understand from other forums that it would be a whole lot easier if the device was running Win CE 5. Any chance you think of flashing this chinese pna to WinCE 5?
Hope to hear from you soon, regards.

If your unit has wince version lower than 5 then yours must be different from described, what serial number or product code you have there?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Thanks for the quick reply, brack11,
There are two sets of numbers on the back cover:
1. Below the barcode: 0420080006
2. Another sticker with: KW-GM3505A080300414
Googling Bluepanther V350 and Menq V350, I did notice that some specs showed with Win CE 4.2 loaded whilst some come with WinCE 5.0. I suspect therefore that there might be a possibility that different WinCE versions may have been loaded at different time of manufacture. This I am hoping gives me the possibility of upgrading to WinCE 5.0.
Anyhow, while looking at the registry, I stumbled on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\OEM with values: Platform "SINCHUN" and OEM "SG-N350G"
Googling SG-N350G also confirmed that my unit appears identical to the images you posted.
What do you think? Regards.
Found the solution at forum.mobilism.org/viewtopic.php?p=265659
GarminXT runs nicely now on my pna.
hy.I have one chinese navigation and i need ROM but I can not find, the navigation is IGO-350 B
Hi guys,
I am at my wit's end...
I have a Navigon 40 GPS device with WinCE 6.0.
Unfortunately, there is no SIP keyboard in Windows itself (but i desperately need one)
As the SIP is known to be in coredll.dll, I tried to hexedit different keyboards as JotKBD etc. to use coredl2.dll and put latter in \Windows directory.
It is not working at all, keyboards are not starting up.
I registered different SIP dlls with gbregsvr.exe, such as the SkySip.dll for SkyDeamon keyboard, nothing is working (I can register dll, but keyboard is not starting up).
Not even ExecutabilityCheck, nor RomExtractor is working. It is even getting to a point where there is no window for e.g. opening / saving files in notepad - if i press File -> Open, nothing happens.
The only thing partly working is 'Freefloat Key One' keyboard (shareware), where only symbols and numbers are working, no letters at all.
Even tried to edit SIP in registry (e.g. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\SIP )
Can somebody help? I know this WinCE is cut alot, but IMO it is not only due to coredll.dll.
What else can I try?
Thanks for your help, maybe my problem can be seen more as a challenge
Regards,
Martin
BTW: 5" Navigon 70 has exactly the same issues
*push*
nobody can help me?
How do i get keyboard in windows?...maybe I did sth wrong?
hopeless
After several attempts to get the SIP to work, I give up.
I think Navigon built the WinCe Rom w/o SIP support...
So my chances are near to impossible, right?
Damn Navigon.... I'll send them a nice and friendly mail
I believe only the "Bastard operator from Hell" can be this mean and take out the SIP support...
stupid gneral discussion forum
I need 10 posts not only to post in General Q&A, but in the forum I need to.
so here the last pointless 6 posts of me to be able to post somewhere useful....
this is just sad...
once again...
at least I am spamming my own thread...not that someone is replying anyway (at least in General Q&A when you have specific topics)

sorry for spamming, but it is kinda your own fault.... too bad
Each WinCE comes with a SIP: Look in folder \Windows for msim.dll (default small software keyborad) or largekb.dll (choiceable large software keyboard),
But to configure that in WinCE? There are no Apps for that
Sent from my A8 using xda app-developers app
That is definitely one way to get by the 10 post mark.

Wrong.
Since CE 5.0 the SipSelect tool is part of the shell, its icon is in CE taskbar.
If you want it to be run from within an application (ex. MortScript) you can use the attached executable(s).
