Hey guys n' girls,
I need a few spares for my XDA 2 (these are gonna seem odd, but what the hell); the things i need are:
1. that crappy rubbery cover that goes over the headset jack, i lost mine, i dunno how.
2. The back cover that goes over the battery, i ruined mine, lol. dont ask how!
3. The piece above the battery cover, (the other cover, lol) it covers the camera module/aerial piece and the little circle rubber thing that goes over the external antenna connector.
4. I need a spare battery as well (preferably a higher power/capacity one; does the XDA 2i one work in the XDA 2? if it does then i need an XDA 2i battery)
5. A new Headset, I messed mine up completely!! no joke, i still have it but i dunno how to fix all the wires back together; besides the volume control is messed up, so its not worth putting the wires back together!
6. I also need the volume control switch; the one on the side, i dropped my XDA 2 and the ridges on it got flattened! Bloody trains; the rides are never smooth!
Thas it, if anyone has any or all of these (basically has an XDA 2 which doesnt work at all, and can provide me with these spares, then it will be much appreciated! i know some are weird spares but its urgent and i need them! let me know anyone, i'll obviously pay for the parts!)
Thanks!
Hi hafizur,
You can check out these guys in the U.K.
http://www.siansmobiles.co.uk
They sell the full housing... A bit expensive IMHO, but for a so messed up XDA2 like yours it's well worth it  ...
P.S.- It's amazing to see posts like this left unanswered for so many days!!! :?
I know that not many people know some answers, but I can't believe I'm the only one that knows a place where they sell at least some XDA2 parts...
Oh, well...
P.S2.- It will be nice to know what kind of punishment your XDA2 went through to be in such bad shape!... C'mon, share the complete story!!!
Good luck!
Good day!!!
Anyone please help me find XDA II diagram so that i can locate other trouble symptoms with my XDA.
Thanx a lot
Lem
somebody asked for that a long time agoe dont think he ever found one
doubt htc ever released one to the public for any of their devices
there are however a tech manual and a pcb overlay pictures
also diagrams make less and less sense these days
as they would just show connections between big chips which handle everything
and little but a few resistors and caps to lvl out power and signaling is on these pcb's
saw something like that when I was looking for a user manual, used google and typed something like qtek 2020 manual, there was some kind of diagrams like if the screen doesnt work, do this and that, if no signal then... etc
Hi there,
I have a really desperate problem
I've got an Orbit II bought in Germany and I'm not covered by their guarantee here in Moscow. So, I happened to be a very lucky one and the touch screen of my device is faulty - it has a gray stain on it clearly visible on a white background.
I found a replacement screen for the Touch Cruise here but what the technicians discovered yesterday was that the screen was actually the same, but the cord on that TC screen (stub, whatever) sticks out at a different place than on mine!
Found out one more thing:
Orbit 2 = Polaris 200.
TC = Polaris 100.
Guys, can anyone help me find a source to buy a replacement screen for Orbit 2 in Germany or UK?
Thanks a whole lot in advance!!!
I have posted a request for you over in the german ppc-Welt Forum
Maybe someone gathers some information there. I will keep you updated.

Thanks so much!!! I hope that thread will receive some feedback

Well, thanks for these links... But I don't want to dismantle anything. I just need to buy the whole touchscreen assy.

But the problem is that the display on the photo is for TC, NOT for Orbit 2
As I said earlier,
but the cord on that TC screen (stub, whatever) sticks out at a different place than on mine!
You see, the cord on this one sticks out in the lower left corner of the screen. But mine is in the middle of the left side.

Interesting because on the posted link,
they state it fits for following devices:
HTC:
Touch Cruise
Polaris
P3650
XDA mini II
O2:
XDA Orbit 2
This would assume, that it is the same for all models
Maybe best is to email them and describe your problem by support form:

to see what they say...

Wow!!! Thanks! Seems to be a really interesting site! I think I'll be careful though
If you have changed your display successfull, please post a small how-to.
Too bad... these cnn people seem to be offline and off work.
I wonder if this site has ever been really working...

Did you order one?
http://cnn.cn/shop/p3650-touch-cruise-polaris-c-277_456.html
No, haven't ordered anything yet. But these guys have told me finally that their screen is incompatible with my Orbit but they will try to find one that is
I hope to have news next week.
Will this
Click
be the whole screen or are there two parts (lcd and digitizer).
How do I know, what is broken?
On my device there is a small black spot like ink and a tiny crack from the whole left to right. Display is working fine except the black part, the touchscreen works everywhere.
What parts do I need?
Thank you
JueLue
Well, I was informed by those technicians who disassembled my device that I needed the whole screen. That's the only thing I know.
So, I can't help you here.
I have a dent\scratch in the housing, and multiple scratches on my screen
I'm actually thinking about selling my TC, cause of all the issues, etc.
I wonder if it's worth it to buy the housing and screen replacements...hm
I'm gonna wait until someone here has successfully used one of those kits and successfully dismantled the device.
Knowing me, I would definately destroy it without reading a how-to from someone who has actually done this before
Hello Dimitry N!
Have you got some news for us? Did you get a new LCD screen? And how to replace? Many questions....
I got myself a TC instead.
The Orbit 2 has a Samsung (!!!) touch screen, which is a real piece of ****.
The one on the TC really does have the viewing angle of 180 degrees, as it was advertised.
The Orbit 2's screen - no. When you look at it from the "top", the image on the screen darkens a lot, and vice versa. And the image on the TC screen is a lot crisper! I can tell this by holding the 2 devices together right now!
What a pity! O2 decided to include some nice accessories like the car charger and the car holder, and saved on the screen instead!
So, I will sell my Orbit 2!
I was wondering if it was possible to take everything except the screen out of the original diamond and put it into a diamond 2 housing. thanks in advance.
stop joking please absolutely not
why not just buy a diamond 2
these devices are soo custom made with pcb for casing no such thing will ever be likely
Thanks. Searched for an answer, but couldn't find any so I figured I'd ask. I thought that maybe since people have made portable xbox 360's, maybe this. I saw a lot of people selling the housing, and being too poor to buy one at the moment, I thought it might be possible. but it looks like I'll just have to wait.
Hi to all,
I disassembled my nexus and I lost the screws.
I can find them somewhere?
HELP Please....
Thank's a lot
Bye
The Nexus One uses standards Philips screws mostly with a couple Torx T5 screws as well. They should be relatively easy to pick up in any DIY store.
Thank's a lot
But the size of the philips screw?
Thank's
The site will be easier to find on Ebay or technical assistance for HTC phones.
