I know taht the wmodem application is incluuded in the German t-Mobile ROM 4.00.33
If you want to try it, i can upload the files, so that it will be possible to test it.
I don't know either if it workes with other languages than german nor if it works on the XDAII...

wmodem from XDA I won't be a solution - it has the same problems - and may not work on XDA II at all.
wmodem exclusively uses the phone part of your XDA. BUT incomming Calls and SMS are LOST.
Possible Workaround:
before you start "Wireless Modem" try to divert ALL Calls to your Voicebox... Incomming Calls won't drop your GPRS Connection anymore.
divert: *21*06993xxx# (xxx is your ONE-Nr.)
after Closing wmodem:
cancel divert: #21#
Possible Workaround II:
ONE provides SmartSIMs. When I use the wireless modem, I first activate the other Phone (XDA is passive). I can use GPRS from the passive SIM. Incomming Calls and SMS go to the other phone instead....
I know these workarounds are not the best solutions but maybe it helps...

yeah...i don0t get sound on my prophet... but i got heard very well in the other side...
Ok, I have tried using prefix 00 and I get
"Cannot complete the call. The signal may be unavailable orthe phone number may not be valid. Verify the number or try again."
WI-Fi Signal is OK (Can surf on IE perfectly) and the prefix is ok also (tried with + and 00 btw).
Any ideas?
cesardeluxe and zoky:
that's a common problem with SIP. You probably behind a router with firewall. In common situation problem will be solved with NAT setup on router and port range setup on sip client. I have NAT configured but since wm6 sip client do not allow us to define the same port ranging as [email protected] (as far as I know), we will have allways this problem.
I'm also searching on this. At this moment I can only make calls (with correct 2 way sound) inside my network (we have our own asterisk box inside network). By the way, the quality is not the best, so I think I'll not loose too much more time with this but before quit I'll try to install some other sip client to work with (if I found some) one of these days.
Regards.

same problem here. i can receive calls perfectly wich should be the most dificul part, but when trying to call i get that message too..
help please
Hmmm...is this possible with XDAIIi? I have XDAII but my friend has XDAIIi and he might sell it to me cheap if I can reflash and upgrade the rom and make it working again.
I am using Onesuite.com voip and was very happy with their service. I was able to use an ATA device with it but took me awhile before I figured it out. If I can use it over a PDA/cellphone then it will be perfect.
Now is it possible for XDAIIi to make voip calls? What software or programs do I need to install to be able to use my Onesuite voip? Hopefully someone can give me some instructions.
Thanks.
Let me just bump this one.
Anyone can help me find answers on how to use voip on XDAII. I am using Onesuite voip service, it works on SJphones, X-lite's and even ATA device and IP phones. I just don't know for XDA's.

Search for Express Talk. I am using it on my Onesuite account and it works. Just search for it on Google.
Anyone using Fring here? I'm having problems setting it up with Onesuite but based on their website (fring.com) its compatible with any SIP based voip like Onesuite.

Touch Pro on landline (CTP) over bluetooth?

Would it be possible to use the TP at home over a bluetooth connection to the fixed line? I'm not talking about VOIP and I don't want to use WiFi. What I'm looking for is a solution where the phone acts as a cordless device.
Does the TP support the 'Cordless Telephony Profile' (CTP)?
If not, can it be added?
And if it did, what would we have to install on the other end in order to make that work?
Any suggestions appreciated
Get a voip gateway ( or just a ATA ) with a fxs, get a wireless ap, run a voip client. The only way.....

Hm, thanks, but I excluded that solution already in my first post. 'The only way...' seems too definite an answer... there are black swans...
When reading the posts, I learned that the Kaiser had this feature. Can someone confirm? Could it be ported over to the TP?
I haven't seen or heard anything about this feature, but I do know what you're talking about. The last time I was at Circuit City I saw that they had blue tooth receivers with their land line phones, a cool idea. I'll be monitoring this thread to consider this for myself, it'd be nice being able to answer calls on your mobile and land line on the same phone. As for confirming if the Kaiser had it, go ask in the Kaiser forum, I can't imagine a response taking long.
Nope, it does not have CTP (and niether does the Kaiser).
Go to BT settings and it shows all under the 'Profiles' tab.
Thanks for the info... would have been cool, though...

Voice over IP is Flaky

I am trying to get VOIP to work on my Fuze, and it has just been one problem after another. But my main problem is that it seems to be flaky I think it disconnect from the VOIP but still said it is connected. So i can call out and it reconnects and it all works. But no one can call in and i haft to go in to the phone settings and then internet turn it to off then back on again to whenever avalible, then they can call in for awile untell it disconnect again.
When i reset my divice sometimes is comes back on as connected and other times it come back on disconnected and i haft to go back to the phone setting and turn VOIP off and on again.
Is this a problem for everyone, or just me?
Oyeah i am using sipgate as my VOIP provider
Any Help would be much appreciated
Anyone have any suggestions?
bad connection? Mobile/3G/2G connection or wifi?
hard reset?
It might be a bad connection I will also do a hard rest.
So do you have any suggestions, if it is a bad connection. So it will automatically log back in what the connection is available again.
I am using Internet Calling 21109 to hack it. and then using a program call Sip conf tool to setup my VOIP settings. Is this the best way to do this or do you suggest something better?
Thanks

I'm having the same issue you are (I'm using wifi). I'm playing around with some registry settings trying to fix it - will let you know if I find something that helps.
I'm also using the same tools to set it up as you are - and those are indeed the best ones.
Good to know am not alone with this problem. Hopefully we can find a solution.

Who is your service provider? Are you on ATT? And if you are on ATT, which ROM are you using?
VOIP on Windows Mobile
I have struggled for two years trying to do this, with countless releases. I eventually just bought a second wireless voip phone that works great, and was inexpensive. Not a great solution. I can get it to work, however the call quality is terrible, and the client is flaky as can be. I also dont like the way the dialer makes you select voip or provider and then stays on it. I have tried a few third party software apps such as fring, and Xbeam, and these worked a whole lot better. In addition, most voip clients are speaker only. You can use a bluetooth headset, and that helps alot. I guess what I am trying to say is that unless you love endlessly searching for a solution, or are hell bent on getting this working, I would save your time and work on something else. PM me and I can send you the info on the phone that I got.
Break out the Head & Shoulders..

the problem with VoIP is that Voice travels over IP networks in packets in the same manner as data, so when you talk over an IP network your conversation is broken up into small packets. These voice and data packets travel over the same network with a fixed bandwidth. So its unreliable and doesn't provide a mechanism to ensure data packets are delivered in sequential orderhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VoIP#Challenges
wish i had real info for you, i was listening to an Adam Corrolla podcast and he was going off about VoIP.. If you were fortunate enough to be connected to a DS1 line aka T1 line, you wouldn't experience the $hitty quality.. but they cost several hundred thousand..

I wouldn't mind going 3ed party,
I tried some a wile back but the problem i ran in to was that nothing else interfaced with them. Like in my contacts if i said call this person it would use the build in phone software not the VOIP software. I am not sure if there is a work around or not for that.
I think it was skype and Nimbuzz
it seemed like nimbuzz got it to work in the normal speaker. I will haft to go back an check

2 questions for Verizon TP2: how can I tether and conference call?

I hear that someone used an old .cab file from their Fuze and got Internet Connection Sharing working on their Verizon TP2 ? Can anyone confirm / share the .cab?
Also, I know "conferencing" is disabled on the Verizon TP2 but I have heard you can still do a 3-way-call? I have not been able to figure this out - can anyone fill me in?
Thanks

I cannot do a conference call... I called tech support and they told me to just dial second number and press send. then send again to connect all 3 call. Nada... Nope. does not work.
We need some xda cooks to restore the htc conference call software! asap!

Info on 3-ways calls straight from the HTC manual located here: http://member.america.htc.com/downl...ro2_Verizon/HTCTouchPro2UsersManualforVzW.pdf
This if for CDMA mode, GSM mode is also in the manual.
Making Three-way Calls in CDMA Mode
To set up a three-way call, directly dial the participants and add each connected call to the three-way call.
Starting a three-way call
Press the TALK/SEND button to open the Phone screen.
Make the call to the first participant. See “Making a call from the Phone screen” for instructions.
When the first call is connected, make a call to the second participant. The first call is put on hold when
you dial the second call.
When the second call is connected, tap Flash to start the three-way call. The screen displays Call in
progress.
Tap Flash
When a three-way call is in progress, you can open the keyboard view the call in landscape view. You can also
tap Flash to cycle between the three-way call, Caller 1 only, and Caller 2 only.

No need for a Fuze cab for ICS or anything like that. Just download the attached XDA WiFi sharing cab and you can turn your phone into a wireless router and connect from any wireless PC/laptop that supports ad-hoc wireless networks (basically all of them).
See the other post above for directions on the 3-way call.
Nate
can someone with a verizon tp2 try 3 way call?
i tried method using flash button. i tried method of using send button. it does not work for me in nyc area. if anyone can try this to confirm it does work it would be much appreciated.
while on a call i pull up keypad. dial number and press send. i get a notice that new call is on hold. (which is opposite what is implied in the manual) i press flash button and new call disappears. only on original call again... what am i doing wrong?
I tried this once right when I got mine and got similar results as you.
I'll have to try this again, I'm rarely making 3 way calls from my cell.

Hey, I answered this exact question on another thread as far as tethering. I have VZW and these instructions I posted worked perfect. Check here for all the instructions you need to tether using your unlimited data plan.
well.... supposedly it works now. I called tech support. she grabbed 2 cell phones. she called me and we connected. then I dialed the number of her 2nd cell phone. I hit the send button and after she picked up and I heard her voice on the line I hit the send button again. and she said both calls were still connected. hmm... So I guess it does work. although on the phone screen it just says connected. No indication connected to what??
So does that mean nothing was ever disabled on the phone... just that the network didn't support it?

picture via voip or any other app?

Dear all
Is there any way to send a picture via you android to a another phone number? I don't want to use mms, since it is expensive to send outside of country. I was thinking about something like VOIP programs like 12 voip.
PS: the another phone line does not have internet (nor WiFi or 3G)
thanks in advance

VoIP will work only with Internet connection, so it is not possible.
What is the device of the receiver? Maybe it could somehow connect to the Internet using the cable via PC.

The easiest way is connecting to some WiFi, the device supports it, why can't you use it?
Then you could use plenty of apps for the purpose you need...
I do have internet, both WiFi and 3G, but the another party does not have. so she can not use the internet for receiving pictures, I was thinking maybe I can use voip like program to send MMS to her.
If she doesn't have Internet connection, she can't use voip. VoIP = voice over INTERNET protocol. Sorry, no way.
