Hi,
I can't find such a software...
I want to assign different dial-ups to softwares like messenger, internet explorer and activesync (they all use the default internet connection).
The main idea is to use gprs for internet browsing,
and circuit switch call for remote sync via activesync
thanks in advance

When I cradle my XDA, and then launch IE, it tries to use the PC's Internet connection instead of the XDA's internal GPRS. Is there a way to force it to use the XDA's GPRS to access the Internet instead of the ethernet connection on the PC when cradled?
I am not sure but I have the opposite problem. My XDAII always connects to GPRS rather than via my PC when cradled. Maybe we should compare settings. How is yours configured?
i recall the xda manual had some stuff about grps while places in the cradled
The answer is to change the settings in your PC ActiveSync. Go to Options, Rules and at the bottom is a section called "Pass Through". If you select "Internet" when your XDAII is cradled or synchronised via USB/IrDA/Bluetooth, Pocket IE will connect via your PC's internet connection. If you change the setting say to "Work" then Pocket IE will use the GPRS connection instead.
Hope this helps.

hello,
I have few connections on my S200, (few apn's opened), one
for internet, one for email and one for corporate access. So,
I want that my activesync use email connection. Well,
how to tell Activesync to use email connection, not Internet
or corporate?? It always uses Internet...
thx
When I sync my 8525 with my pc I lose ability to use my Agile messenger and Internet. I am using my mobiler so I can see my phone display on my pc screen and would like to be able to access these while synced. I am not trying to use my phone as my modem. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Wade
if you mean how you get internet to the pocketpc over activesync as in share the pc's lan
you go into settings->connections->connections->advanced->networks and choose my network rather then my isp
I am trying to use the media net, not the pcs internet connection. When I sync my phone with my pc, i lose connection to my media net and agile messenger. I would like to operate these using the media net, not the pc's internet connection.
Im trying out the microsoft sms add-in to outlook 2007, but it demands that the phone is connected as a modem to the PC. Seems like when I use internet sharing application, vista wont add the phone as a modem (it still works to go online though).
So, do anyone know if theres any bluetooth/usb modem drivers for the polaris or any other similar HTC phone?
Many thanks
not in internet sharing mode... but you can try sharing it with WmWifiRouter, connect with activesync and use a remote controll app like SOTI Pocket Controller Pro... if you want to sent messages using your keyboard...
I had this problem before, fixed it by changing the "network connection" to Mobile web, I think, instead of o2 active. Or the other way around.
Hello!
Can anybody help me with such question?
How to use GPRS-internet on my device while it is connected to the desktop with ActiveSync? It tries to connect only through ActiveSync not using GPRS, but the desktop uses proxy for internet, so for example weather application or mail application can't update their information.
Thanks
