its called Shadow of legend I know its pretty nerdy but whos not a nerd on this form?
its still in beta but you can play it. you can play from your pc of your pda and ive been trying it. it works about as well as you expect it to lol but it is a really cool idea so i figured id share it and let you guys take a look.

Iphone like game for HTC - 2 Games - update 2010/01

Hi,
I wanted to give back something to this wonderful forum.
I saw a great game that is Iphone like, great graphics, transparet game pad and i was happy, because somehere in the line (The developers) are heading in the right direction.
Yes, these Games works Great on the HD2 and other WM 6.1 and 6.5

It´s Free and Working realy good on HD2.
Not realy multi touch but it´s close =)

That site has some games that are paid apps on Marketplace... are you sure it's legal to get them from here? The site looks a bit dodgy.

And btw, it's for HTC blackstone. Is it suitable for HD2?

Do both of the games linked in your sig work ok on the HD2? No hangs or crashes and no issues at certain points (i.e. can't get past level X because of a bug or something?).

just checking really, I dont like installing stuff without knowing it's going to work because in my experience uninstalls are never as "clean" as they would have you believe!
If both these games work without issue then I might go ahead and install otherwise I won't bother.

Only wvga games with detailed graphics. not the feeling that you play on a java phone.

Where are all the decent games?

Is it just me or is there a lack of decent games available for the HD2. I have Xtract, and enjoy it too, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of other games around. I'm not talking rubbish time killers. I'm on about the ones with good graphics and G-Sensor integration.
Anyone shed any light?
And before anyone mentions it, I don't want an iPhone, or games console. I would just like to play a reasonably good game or 2 on my HD2.

You should really get the supporter version. I got multi-touch working, supporter version includes more frames to add keys (unlike the 4x3 in the free version) I think you get 7x6
More options. Ive been playing RPGs, gran turismo with no problems.

The thing is that there are lots and lots of working apps and GAMES for winmo But the problem is that most of them are very graphically UGLY! such as assassins creed, avatar, asphalt, ferrari evolution and the longest list in the world goes on! Those are all ugly! and pixelated!
ive DL an play so many games and the only ones that i keep are the ones that are graphically good. those are, and are the only ones ive have on my HD2 are
crayon physics

teeter

I know what you mean. I FREAKIN HATE how the iPhone/iTouch comes nowhere near the hardware that the hd2 has, but as far as games and apps it has some of the best graphics around. I know not all Windows Mobile phones have the same specs as the iPhones all do, but they DEFINITELY need to take advantage of the higher end models.\
btw, that hd2blogs is a warez site. Dunno why that idiot makes it so obvious.

Lets be real here guys...to be honest looking for any high caliber game currently for the hd2 is a lost cause. Unless you're playing games using an emulator (morphgear, fpsece...which I might add aren't perfect...oldschool compared to today's games, and bring a load of headaches i.e. control issues, mulitiouch issues, gamepad issues, sound issues - (be prepared to do your homework to get good playability out of them) there just isn't much being offered.
High quality WVGA games are extremely hard to find. Now bear in mind I'm not saying there are no fun games...but don't expect high quality out of the games from gameloft, etc. They don't focus on the windows mobile platforms...i.e try playing need for speed undercover on the hd2 vs the same game on the ipod touch FIRST GENERATION. The 1G Ipod version puts the hd2 version's to shame.
Zenonia 2, the new squaresoft rpg game coming out, etc...none of it is available for our precious hd2 unfortunately. I certainly didn't get the hd2 for gaming, but after using my Ipod 1g for a very long time, and coming to windows mobile for the first time w/ the hd2...I didn't really expect the huge gap in the amount of quality current generation games vs apple. I had actually thought because of the sheer hardware power, the hd2 would be a gaming powerhouse (which it could be), but I really have been blown away by the huge lack of quality game software.
Anything apple wins because of the apps available argument...it does have some truth in it (regardless of hardware specs). W/o xda I'd really be regretting the purchase.

On my old phone (touche cruise) i had worms installed.
I do not have the install anymore, does someone has a link for me?
After installing the demo i can not play, i found another threat whit akepad emulator but it does not work on the hd2.
Is there a way to play worms on my phone?

I liked the old worms more, those graphics look fake.

I have the origional worms game in a cab, works perfect...
But i am unsure how to upload it.....

worms is fun but why does the cpu never use good weapons? and they skip turns so often its embarrassing how bad the ai is

Totally Agree. The old worms in combination with the GameboyOnscreenGamepad is awesome. Still love it and play it since years But you can be sure, that there is no legal way to get it anymore since it is off every store.

I don't lie lol, In this game you can have a campaign the cpu uses different weapon based on what team you play against...
I am new to Xda so i dont know how to upload but if someone gives me a quick tutorial how to share it then you can all have it....
I have taken/used plenty from these forums so its only fair i should give something back...
Btw the graphics on this are ace, but the sound is a dissapointment kinda like the origional game

iainbp... all those listed, theres a good strategy one called Autumn Dynasty which is free if you search for it.. but i have the cab for that if you would like it.

Hey been getting irked abit that the windows marketplace sucks.. I know EA has games on their site one can download.. however.. if you noticed lets take Need for speed games. WM version looks o.0 crap. While Iphone and hell Droid versions of the game are \o/ and fun with motion control.
Now Im sure the HD2 has some good things too.. but where are they hiding? Anyone know? Or is this online game world turning into iphone droid only (For the best gameplay stuff)

Quite like Asphalt 4d - motion control is a feature but I turned it off. Xtract (free) is good too with nice graphics. If you want really good HD style games though on the HD2 get the playstation emulator and you'll never look back (and other phone owners will be very jealous). There's a free version but it's worth getting the supporter version as it makes it a lot easier to control the games. Search "tekken 3 on hd2" on youtube and you'll get the idea.

So the supported version plays better on HD2? I tried the regular one before.. didnt get anywhere with it.. Now before I do get it... is it enjoyable WITHOUT Cobolt ps3 controller software?
I guess im more annoyed that the only reason I like my iphone 2g.. is just for its games.. has some nice ones, even my G1 has nice ones, then I have my HD2.. and all I can say is "My Puzzle Quest is fun.." >.> Yea.. heh.

You're right. The game selection sucks. Lots of the developers are saying it's just too hard to develop a nice graphics game for Windows Mobile. While some like Xtrakt or Project 13 are ok, they aren't fully supported. They require little work arounds that I just feel makes the games not live up to the "fully supported" title. They just work. Then there are some that are just sprites cut into different poses like the ones Zarpy makes. They aren't bad but not the high def like you're asking for. So far, yeah the PSX emulator will be your best bet. It's pretty much the only one worth having and paying for in my opinion.

Snowblind what are you on?? Who is asking for Warez?! Im asking what games are good that are in higher quality. Marketplace sucks for finding anything decent, even going to EAs website doesnt give you much. Yet the HD2 came with some "HD" versions of games. yet you cant find them.
Now forum posts I know there is a "Apps thread" and so, however its not like its linking "Hey here is EA, Gameloft, website for HD2 games" or so.
So again, so far no warez links are on this thread, nor was it being asked for. Im just getting annoyed that Android phones of the same thing for HTC are getting better games then Windows mobile is.
