XDA 2 For Sale

Good Morning, This post if for all the non UK visitors to this forum. I have a new XDA 2 for sale. It has been locked by O2 as I received a new one via insurance but they have forgot to pick up the old one, (been 6 months now) so I know it's okay to sell. All other functions apart from the phone work, but I have been told that once it leaves the UK the phone part will reactivate itself and it will become as new. Please email me on
[email protected] with any genuine offers. Please be advised it will cost £30 to ship it anywhere in the world and this includes insurance upto £500, so add this onto the amount you wish to pay for the goods
Thanks for looking

For Sale Touch Pro

I couldn't see anything in the rules regarding sales but feel free to remove if not allowed.
We bought a Touch Pro fro one of our Directors and he doesn't like it so it's up for Sale. It is only about 2 months old and a recipt of purchase can be provided.
It was purchased froma U.K business HTC partner but it came with a US style plug (they have provided a U.K generic to us and will be included)
The phone has been flashed with Energy ROM 2 bu can be returned to factory ROM if required.
It was unlocked to all networks from factory and has not been unlocked by us.
The phone is in top condition with box and manuals. Pictures can be provided if required.
I want £250 + Postage (Cost £406 so a bargain)
Thanks

lost phone insurance claim

Hi i have lost my o2 branded phone and have been on the o2 website and they don't sell these any-more.
Any idea how the insurance claim will go, it is through lloyds tsb bank
Thanks
Robert
Already claimed insurance tablet, but do not know if the gadget would do, yet it had to send equipment manual, it would be interesting to analyze the terms of the contract to see the value of the franchise, sometimes it pays off!
I've had the O2 Gold insurance for a number of years now. My old XDA Exec was discontinued when got a cracked screen. I was offered 1 of 4 alternatives from the XDA range, so I picked the XDA Orbit 2.
The terms usually state that you get a replacement or refurbished model if the handset is still currently sold, or an alternative if it is discontinued. My suggestion to you is to push for a current handset from O2's range, something like the HTC HD Mini if you want to stick with WinMo.

Buy a refurbished g2x?

I saw tmobiles site and they have the g2x for 360
Pretty good deal if you ask me, would u get it?

If you want a refurb or quality used unit from a reputable supplier try eBay seller alltechwholesale. They are the company that powers eBay instant sale and handles trade-ins and returns for large companies such as Radio Shack. I have bought many devices from them, including my mint condition G2X for $255 plus shipping, and the condition is always better than they state in the auction description. I am in no way affiliated with this seller other than being an extremely satisfied repeat customer. Plus if you buy this way you can do a T-Mobile value plan with no contract and pay less per month. If you don't mind a contract the refurb units on TMO's site are now only $49.99 with online discount and rebate, and new ones are currently $149.99.
I'm not buying it on contract, I'm coming from Canada and bringing it back to use on a Canadian network.

Then try the eBay seller listed above. Units in very good to mint condition are going for $250 to $280 (some still in boxes), depending on the bidding. $10.99 delivery to Contiguous USA addresses only. I got mine and had it reshipped to
Thailand. Got the unit for over half less the new 2Xs sell here for in Thailand and got the Vanilla Android and GB also. New 2Xs here are still sold with Froyo also with GB nowhere in the sights.
Why don't you buy a Wind Mobile unit? There are the same exact model, P999, with no TMO bloat.
Cant find it, can you post the link to the seller please?
And i dont want the crappy LG overlay i want vanilla android, and i heard the wind optimus didnt get gingerbread

Just go to eBay, do an advanced search on seller for "alltechwholesale". All of their current listings will come up.

Sprint tab3 for 49.99

As title says .. just got the email..course its with 2yr..I have the 10.1 tab2 but thinking of getting this for my daughter..thoughts?

Sounds good to me, i paid 299 euro for the 8 inch one, and if remember correct the 7 inch was 199 euro. So 49,99 USD sounds almost free, go for it.

I picked up 2 on Friday from Sprint. There is a $5 monthly plan which gives you basically no data, or a $15 plan that gives you 2GB of data. With the Wifi Tab 3 retailing for $199 with 8 GB of internal storage in the US this is a good deal. The major kicker is if you break your contract right away the fee is $200, so basically you can get a 4G enabled Tab 3 with 16 GB of internal storage for $250 and then no data plan.
I went for this deal last week as well, bought a Case/Pen combo from Amazon for 15$ w/ free shipping.
I used an additional promo code that has since expired, gave me a $50 statement credit.
I went with the $5 for 25MB of data plan, I plan on using this wifi only or with my unlimited VZW line if LTE band 13 is unlocked.
So after tax this is going to cost 54.43 - 50 + (22 * 5.34) = 132.59 USD
Now to start reading about what I can do with this thing Hopefully bootloader unlock, custom recovery and custom rom's are available.

One thing to note on this tab.. it is does not have the same specs as the wifi tab 3.. this one has 1.5gb ram (wifi is 1gb), this one is 1.7ghz, (wifi is 1.2 or 1.5.. I forget), and this tab has 16gb of storage) It seems to have a few quirks... I seem to have issues transitioning from cellular to wifi once in a while which requires a reboot.. I bought the Samsung folio case, which is pretty nice, and doesn't add bulk.. but sometimes the flip cover keeps the screen active...
I'm happy with my purchase.. 49.99 - Activation fee waved, and I opted for the 15/month plan.. sneaky SOB at the sprint store added a 13.00/month protection plan without telling me. Sleaze!.. Luckily I found it and removed it today. Love WAZE on this this tablet, and this fits perfectly in my console so it's like a huge GPS...
I also see that it's loaded down with useless applications.. I hope root comes soon, and somebody cooks a nice bloat-free ROM for this..
Order mine a few days ago just came in today. Ordering 2 more for the kids (and turning mobile data off.)
Went in to the store yesterday and picked this up. It was "Tablet Tuesday" that Sprint is doing this month so I walked out of there without paying anything for it. Tablet Tuesday is $50 off on tablets so of the initial price of $49 is still there next Tuesday it can be gotten for free then also.

I went yesterday too but there was no mention of Tablet Tuesday. What do I have to do to qualify for this? Does it have to be a new account? I added the tablet onto my existing Sprint plan.

I had read about it on s4gru.com so I went in and asked about it. Not sure if every store is doing it. At my local corporate store they are doing it every Tuesday in October.

I wish I knew of this when I went in yesterday. If my store was participating in this, do you think I'll be able to go in with receipt to take advantage of the deal after the fact?
I just got mine and I really like it. Do it on sprint.com and use promo code "Mobile50" to get a $50 account credit for doing a new line

I couldnt get mobile50 to work when I ordered (online last tuesday). Hopefully cust svc can help once I receive the device (back ordered)

ROMs
Would it be possible to use ROMs from the regular Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 with the Sprint one, or would I risk a brick by doing so?
I got mine rooted and awaiting for custom recovery so far it's great. But I'm spending more time on my note 3 ATM

How'd you manage to root it?
I am thinking about getting this for my nephew for Christmas.
Go to kingoapp.com and dl the app, once your tab is rooted go to the play store and get supersu and make that the default root app and uninstall the Chinese one

I just got mine yesterday. Too good of a deal to pass up. Not the best screen resolution, but lots of good features. I hope some rooms show up pretty quick. Can't stand being stock and way too much bloatware..

The promo code "Mobile50" is no longer valid. Anyone have another?
