Just wanted to mention that I am now sync'ing and surfing with a BT dongle on my desktop computer over my iMATE. It works great with no problems holding connections and battery usage looks to be pretty good as is the speed and stabilty.
It also handles MORE than one BT connection at a time as I was able to call my iMATE and have that called transfered to my BT headset AND maintain the BT connection with my desktop computer all at the same time without loosing any connections ...
You say to are "now" syncing up etc.. does that mean it wasn't working before? are you using the Widcomm stack or the MS Stack?
@blinky99
Hi it works for you the GPS and headset?

JoseF

My PDA2K had the same problems as everyone else did the bluetooth error kept turning up and asking for a soft rest.
Bluetooth activesync and TomTom worked fine the the headset was crap it did sort of work but not as it should.
I did the upgrade rom from the Imate site, But now the Activesync and TomTom work as befor, but the headset (jabra 250 and 250v) pair ok but fail at the end of the set up proces.
Dose anyone know a way to fix this
Thanks
John
Am i the only one with this problem? or after rom upgrade dose everyones PDA2k work fine with no Bluetooth problems, and the headset working properley
Thanks John
aside from the annoying constant connection, I've got it paired to a sony HB-35 and working with no major problems.
As for annoying, what happens is that the phone establishes a bluetooth connection to my HB-35 but never releases it unless I disconnect or power the HB-35 off. Other than that, when it is connected, it seems to work ok... have not used it all that much since i use the PDA2k to play my mp3's.. so I've been using the corded headset.. Tend to use the bluetooth only when I need it for gps navigation .
I was reading around about issue using BT headset with the Himalaya (W2003 not second edition!)
I read several people who installed the WidComm stack, but as far as I have understood, with this hack there are still problems with the headset profile (still I don't now which!).
Talking about the standard MS stack, I read people using Nokia BT headset complaining about it loosing connection and turning off after 10 min. Is this a nokia only issue?
It seems that Jabra hs are working well. Is there any known problem with the standard MS bt stack?
Thanx to anyone who will/could help me reorganize my mind...
Regards,
Francesco
I have a bluetake G2 headset. When I had 1.72 ROM and installed Pocket Bluetooth Tools it worked perfectly. Currently I'm playing with SE ROMs and have not yet used this headset with it.
Widcomm stack does not support headset/handsfree profile on our device. It can bond with headset, but you would not hear any sound.
I am still using the MS BT stack with rom 1.72.00.
NO Pocket Bluetooth Tools (I would like to know why mamaich uses these with a 1.72 rom . . .)
NO issues whatoever with both Headset (Headset Protocol) or GPS (Serial Port Protocol).
Just rocksteady . . .
Bluetooth Activesync not working after PBT
Activesync over bluetooth doesnt work anymore after loading Pocket blue tooth tools,( it was working perfectly well till loaded PBT) It doesnt even give me the option of syncing via BT ( the option one normally gets when one opens activesync on the device ( tools menu 1) Options 2) via IR 3 ) Via BT ) now all I find is options and activesync via IR.
Bluetooth HS810 Microphone not working
I am using a Motorola HS810 bluetooth headset with WM2000SE-Sin-Merged-v2.0 on an XDA II. When I complete pairing, 3 pop-ups all happen at once asking various profiles supported by the Headset - Serial, Headset & Handsfree. I answer yes to the hands-free. (It's only possible to see the other pop-ups due to the handy alt-tab applcation supplied with this ROM version!)
The earpiece works just fine, but the microphone does not. I need to speak into the mic on the XDA II to be heard.
...I have now reverted to 1.72.00WWE & all is fine. It seems to be a problem with WM2000SE....
Any ideas?
John

Don't know I'm not so into the BT business yet (only got a BT gps). There's a BlueSoleil BT stack as well you should be able to find it easily.
Success, M
did a search and could not find this stack.
Have you been here?
Bluesoleil BT stack + manager, stable and more profiles

Got 7 pages overthere.
thanks will try it
first off, major props to the xda community, you guys are the best!
now for an interesting problem/project:
It's been a month since I've purchased my Motorola S9 bluetooth headphones http://www.motorola.com/motoinfo/product/details.jsp?globalObjectId=177 and have been amazed by what I can do when combine the S9 with my HTC touch and cyberon's voice dialer which is a voice activation program
I use it to:
listen to stereo music
launch programs
stereo music remote control
speed dial
raise and lower volume
teach iphone users the meaning of envy
just being able to do that with with the a2dp remote and microphone of the s9 makes it feel like it's 2030 where people are wired to computers and technology is transparent and everywhere. The s9 feels like sci fi technology... almost. the s9+htc touch is a great no hassle way of getting the information you want pumped into your ears
so as a tech enthusiast I've asked myself,
why the hell can't my computer do this?? i mean, it's 2008 and I'm still using a keyboard and mouse for everything?
I'm trying to make the S9's work on my mac book pro running windows xp+bootcamp drivers but windows doesn't even support a2dp much less handsfree wireless mic profile
i've an online tutorial by katy hxxp: www.djkaty.com/drupal/vista/bluetootha2dp but installing broadcomm's bluetooth stack gives me an error telling me that there is no bluetooth radio device detected which is total bull as i've been able to send files to my HTC touch via bluetooth. I've also tried installing another bluetooth replacement stack called bluesoleil; with no luck
I've also am about to start trying adding widcomm using this guide (http://www.dev-toast.com/2007/01/05/uncrippling-bluetooth-in-vista-rtm)
but in the guide said a2dp doesn't work with widcomm
anyways how do i make bluetooth a2dp work and my s9's mic to work via bluetooth on pc? is my ultimate question
also, if you could recomend a voice activation program that works as well as cyberon's voice dialer I'm looking for the type of functionality where I can press the voice button issue a command and then good stuff happens I bet lots of other people thought of doing the same thing like this
could you please help?
A step by step guide would be aprechiated
update: I've been able to install widcomm drivers version 5.1 and everything works... except the a2dp UGH!

BlueSoleil, with some external BT dongles, does support A2DP. It's just that the BT dongle itself must support it in hardware.
That is, shop for an external BT dongle if you do need A2DP.

thanx but i'm trying to get my internal laptop's bluetooth to use it I've heard good reports that i'm just using the wrong version of widcomm drivers.... time to reinstall everything...again
besides who wants to carry around a laptop with a dongle flopping around? i'll try to avoid the dongle solution if i can
A2DP and bluetooth stack
Having same issues here. My goal is using BOTH A2dp and Blackberry wireless sync via bluetooth (just a serial port).
I find it impossible as Blackberry will only work with native xp drivers and A2DP is not supported in xp.
Currently i gave up wireless sync and am using A2DP with Bluesoleil, which works fine for me.
Anyone ever tried using A2DP WITHOUT switching to a different bluetooth stack?
Hi,
Does anyone know if the Polaris can supports two bluetooth connections at once?
I have a PC in my car and a seperate handsfree kit and would like to be able to connect to both at the same time.
I have searched the forum and on other xda devices people have mentioned that they had no problems connecting to 2 bluetooth devices at once.
For example they connected to their handsfree kit and to their sat nav system.
I gave it a try in my car last night but had no luck.
Im not sure if it makes a difference what radio rom i have? I ahve the Murata 1.58.21.23
Thanks
