Need A tester for CUSTEL v1.0 Wizard edition

So I had some requests for my hermes rom but for the wizard, my usual test subject is preoccupied so if someone doesnt mind re-installing all of their stuff I need a test subject seeing I don't personally have a wizard. Just need to see if all of the flaws have been fixed for release.

I ran a previous version through tadzio's toolchain and it didn't make a difference, the rom has 45MB IIRC.
My phone died half way through the upload so it will be up in a couple hours when my phone is charged enough to upload sigh...

Unless it has extra space I'm going to pass. I'm neck deep in testing my own ROM at the moment, and I've already promised another cook I'd take a look at his as well. I'd like to upgrade to a Hermes soon, but my laptop is crapping out and my phone doesn't pay the bills like my PC. If I do, you can bet your Hermes ROM will be the first I check out.

I'm uploading it now, if it does work ill try running it through tadzio's tool chain again to see if i can get some extra storage out of it.

Happy to give it a try. By the way, tadzios chain does not help with the Wizard. Well, it makes the rom smaller, but it doesn't make the storage space any larger. So likely helpful for kitchen architects, but not for end users.

lol there was a couple problems that might not allow you to run it for a day or so hehe, which is why I just need to know if "everything is there" per say

7510 has two camera, does'nt it? It is 7501 that has only 1 camera.

Not sure if that was sarcasm or a true opinion, but if the latter then why don't you go and cook a 1st class stable ROM and share it with the rest for free!
I'm happy to donate to a cause which WILL produce an excellent ROM.

Is a true sarcasm, in my managing experience things like "Athena project" never worked in a long range strategy (in the INTERNET developer’s forums model). And this is happening again here IMHO.
You pay to give a device to someone, he will produce "enough" results, then he will restart doing the things he loves to do (with his own device or the most popular device).
He will do those things primarily proud to spread his name and his job around. If you would to have something new… you have just created the monster, the “pay for ROM” business model.
Here (XDA-DEVS) there is a "passion driven" business model and IMHO (I know isn't popular here) athena project gave some results in the beginning, but in the long term a delicate equilibrium was broken.
It is a simple business school lesson, too long and boring (and off topic too) to explain here, how to manage a "free" or a "managed" environment. You ask me to explain WHY and I hope I answered

who said im stopping. i just need time to beat my previous work. raise the bar again. i have some new stuff that i am trying to work on getting perfected. i believe i have solved all the problems i had that kept me from working on the rom(*knock on wood*) so you should see a result soon. though ltxda is telling me this new build isnt as fast as the vanilla build i was doing before so maybe i might work on tweaking the speed for another day.
looks like tommorow i should begin on a beta of the roms. yes people we have moved from the alpha stage to the beta. also remember im working on a vanilla and full rom at the same time and i really never did something like this. i usually do one at a time. please be patient. i am far from retired as u would call it.
target release date: first week of march(1-7) or 2nd week of march(8-14).

Yet again, you continue to have negative feedback and misunderstandings about what's going on.
Just sit back and relax. You got three GREAT ROMs from the project and at least one more is coming. If the ROMs wouldn't be so great then you wouldn't be wanting more. ;-p
Now stop being such a negative whinny and shush. ;-p
4.0 is in the works. I guess you're not reading the posts and keeping up to date huh? Becuase I personally have mentioned the coming of 4.0, I even started a post on 4.0, etc.
You're just trying to get more info than you need. Won't happen. Just wait like the rest and eventually, one day, one year...you'll get a new ROM. If that's not good enough, feel free to cook one up for the community since you have a device and let's see it. I would love to help you by testing it. I'll be here waiting.

I am not trying to have any scoop, I disagree only to what I see here, different from the HERMES , KAISER , EXCALIBUR and WIZARD forums. I see developers communities, helping each other, and the main stream is to have news, utilities and ROM.

I just managed to get my bluetooth watch working with MS BT Stack thanks to Moneytoo app and if the rom does include Widcomm instead I will have to search for a solution if any,

First of all, thank to all developers and rom coockers that are in the forum, and to the forum itself, you people are one of the best, most serious, controlled, "in topic", smart, organized, easy to read and understand forum all over the net.
I was in the forum for a time now, but i usually dont post, cause i think i don't have any useful to say, and then this is not something useful, it's a question
That question:
I have not yet modify the rom from my kaiser, i have the Vodafone 1615 original spanish rom.
I was reading some about roms since the topic about ati drivers was open (that's not about ATI drivers!!! ) and even yet i don't have any idea about what is the best and fastest ROM for the Kaiser, i think it is one of the roms from Dutty, but there is no benchmark in some roms, then i cannot know what is the best rom.
Also i have another question, it's a bit noob, but that question have a reason to be, i use my kaiser mainly for work, and i cannot let my kaiser to be bricked because there is so much is in game, so, thats the question:
There is any risk installing the HardSPL?
and then:
There is any risk upgrading the ROM when i intalled the HardSPL?
I'm not a noob in surfing the forum, and i used the Search function, and googled, but i don't have these points clear enough for daring to install a new ROM.

As to which rom is fastest, that all depends... folks experience different things depending on what they install. My suggestion is to try a bunch of different varieties and eventually you'll settle on the one you want.

juang3d, this is nothing personally aimed at you, and if i offend you i truly am deeply sorry, you asked nicely and explained why you asked but my analogy just came to me as i was reading your post and here's what i have to say:
roms are like women. no matter what everyone is going to say that a one woman is better than other women. you can't be told which woman is right for you, you have to date a few and find her, sometimes the first one you find is great but you should still go out there and date a few others just to be sure, you can always go back to your first choice because roms are better than women; even if someone else has your rom you can have it too and you won't get AIDS. but seriously like ChaOConnor said you need to try a few and find your perfect match.

I saw the links that you gave me ChaOConnor, but i think i'll see again, maybe i did not read carefully, if i'm not comfortable with what i find, i'll ask again, i hope you understand, as i said, Kaiser is VERY important for my work and i must be sure, but thanks for your suggestions, and as i said now, maybe i lost something (it's more than possible hehe) i'll read it again carefully.
For you tubaking182...i TOTALLY agree hehe, i know what a rom is, my question is not about the quality of the soft installed with the rom, is more with the speed of win mobo, in video and in the interface it self, cause, and correct me if i'm wrong, different roms gave differents performances, and i need speed in working, and if i can have speed also in video (even with the eternal problem of "drivers/acceleration") then, better

I know that my post will not add nothing to find the best peformance ROM. I am in the exact same situation as Juang3d. Plus my kaiser OS is in Danish and I need urgently instal a English OS, I need my kaiser to work, and need it to be fast and reliable. I am already 1 week shearching and didnt understud yet wich is the ROM with the best performances. (speed, office,pdf, skype,audio, flash, GPS)
Juan if you find out or create a solid opinion about wich ROM please post. I will do the same.
Or if someone more expert and with empiric experience in this ROM performances questions please enlight hus!!!

You'll find each ROM will depend on what you choose to install. Each ROM will interact differently with various radios. It's a bit of trial and error, really. The good thing is, you can flash a new ROM every day if you like. A lot of people like Dutty's ROMs. They are not for me. I love Leo's ROMs. They are not for everyone.
Look at screen shots, flash it (after carefully reading how to do so properly), and see if you like it. If not, try another.

If you have tried all the ROms in this forum
time to roll back to the original HTC Kaiser ship rom lolz... that works the best for me.

TubaKing's analogy rocks!
For the OP- After trying a lot of Roms I found that the ROMeOS (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=406346) have been the best for me. They are stable, fast, and error free. I wanted a Lite Rom and for me ROMeOS is the best fit. As stated earlier, it all depends on what you like. That's why there are skinny girls, fat girls, different skin tones, etc. We all like a different kind of girl, keeping with the TubaKing analogy. And we all want different things from our Rom.
As far as messing with your work phone. I would be very cautious about that. If it is not your property I would not get started with all of this modding on my bosses phone. Maybe buy your own and mess with it. Good luck.

HTC Touch Diamond ROM on AT&T Tilt?

I want to know if I can put a diamond ROM on the AT&T Tilt. Specifically this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=405728&page=119 I tried searching the forums but I'm not really good at it and I couldn't find anything. So please help.

Short answer: No unless you want a $400 (retail) paperweight.
Long answer: No unless you want a $400 (retail) paperweight. This is why you see the "hybrid" roms that use parts of the OS core from the Diamond inside Tilt/Kaiser roms.

Ask yourself these 2 questions:
What kind of phone do you have?
What kind of ROM do you want to use?
If the answers do not match, the resulting answer should be obvious.

NEVER flash a rom designed for another device. You WILL break your phone beyond repair.

If you don't understand the basics of flashing, such as hardspl, security unlock, the name of your device...then DO NOT FLASH anything. The brains around here have made flashing and modding your device fairly safe, if you do a little reading BEFORE you start.

all skat was implying is that if you have something to say its ok but theres no need to call someone an A-whole..... if you feel that strong about it then pm the person and handle it like that...... but for you to call some one that in the open and that he was actually trying to help, is really rude bro..... thats all..... the person didnt insult you in anyway he was just trying to help the community.... even if the info is right or wrong, helpful or not, its the intention..... and one day you might give some helpful info to someone and when you do it would be kinda messed up if someone called you and ASSHOLE!!!!!

I am referring to this thread. It was posted 2h 32m before this one. Given the lower level of activity on this forum on weekends, these 2 threads were on the same page at the time of my making my post in this one.
I also posted the exact same answer, give or take a few words, in the other thread. Everyone took it as harmless joking; I didn't come out and attack of flame him, so I don't get where I was being an a55h0l3.
The only reason I added the remark about searching was because the OP mentioned it himself.

WM6.5 - Will we have it on the Snap?

Are there any plans for this from HTC?
Will we be able to upgrade the rom?

Probably not from HTC.. but thats what XDA is for!
Once people start buying the Maple in the U.S. (its going to be on practically every carrier) then you won't have to worry about HTC's ROM updates.
I'm sure someone will cook up a great ROM for the Maple once the device becomes popular- and it will.

You never know. When the original Dash came out we got an official upgrade from WinMo 5 to 6 a few months later. Maybe they will do the same for the Dash 3G from 6.1 to 6.5. Talking about the T-Mobile versions of course.

its already been discussed that the snap will have an update in the upcoming months..thats gonna be awesome

HTC Snap will recieve an official update!
I have confirmation from HTC that they will offer a Windows Mobile 6.5 for all HTC Diamond 2, TouchPro 2 and HTC Snap devices

I have an actual HTC Rep through my Sprint Sales rep here in the US. We'll name him DP. I have access to HTCChampions.com and have yet to find any indication of this, i've requested the information from DP himself, and hope to hear back soon.
*Edit:
I just received a call, he said the only phone slatted for the Windows Mobile 6.5 Upgrade that he's aware of is the TouchPro2. Truthfully it sounded like he didn't know himself, he stated that the version of Windows 6.5 only brought a second browser (Opera) to avoid the "Anti-Trust" issues Micro$oft has been facing. He said that he has spoke to Sprint Corp and they've decided to hold of till Windows 7 before making any large changes.
PS, he called back with the information, and i was unable to get it recorded
Believe what you will, but between the HTC Site and his comments the only versions of 6.5 will be those that are cooked here.

I've seen that ad as well, i hope my sources are incorrect. Either way i'll always choose cooked roms over stock

im with u on that!
cooked roms always work better because the cooker knows what we need, and want without the addition of any bloatware ya know.

We'll just let HTC do all the hard work then tear it apart and recook it like we always do.
