Unlock Pixel bootloader - Android Oreo

Hey everyone,
I bought a second hand Pixel phone and it came with the bootloader locked. I was wondering if I would be able to unlock it.
I have been reading a lot about that and I was able to check using the adb tool that my cid version is VZW_001 and I have the OEM unlock option (under the development menu) greyed out. I am currently using android 8.0 and I do not use Verizon since I live in Brazil.
In light of that, I have two more questions:
- Oreo does not have any specific build for verizon, right? I was only able to find the 'other carriers' image.
- Is it possible that I do not have the 'OEM unlock' option because I am using this new version of android that is only for those enrolled in the Beta program?
Regards,

That's a Verizon version of Pixel, which means bootloader locked.
Edit: unless you have a brand new, never been activated one... https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel/help/bootloader-unlock-verizon-pixels-t3616101

I've read on this thread.
What I am curious about is whether you guys that have got a Pixel directly from google, and updated to this new release, have this 'OEM Unlocking' option available?

I got my phone straight from google, have since received an Oreo OTA update, and have this option grayed out. However, underneath it says, "bootloader is already unlocked" (which it is). So that makes sense.
You probably have the Verizon version, which requires an exploit to unlock.

Interesting, this means that I do have a Verizon phone. Hope we can find a exploit that bypass it. I would really like to root my phone. ; )
Thanks you all.

Is there any way to unlock bootloader on Android 8.1?

I updated recently and noticed that "OEM unlock" option is not active. So, is there a possibility to unlock it?

[discussion] a workaround to enable OEM unlocking in Pie .. maybe?

So i was messing around in developer options and i managed to enable the grayed out OEM unlocking option
I turned off developer options then enabled it again and the OEM unlocking option is not gray anymore and i enabled it and restarted the phone to make sure its not just the button is just glitching and it was still enabled but grayed out again
So could this help unlocking the bootloader without rolling back to Oreo?

for unlocking is not need Oreo but SecurityUpdate BEFORE August (with Oreo or Pie)... i unlock my N7p with PieBeta with July(June?) security patches, i think problem is with August Security fix bug/hole/backdoor used for unlocking

So this has nothing to do with with bootloader unlocking
Thanks for your reply

OEM unlocking

Hello everyone
I just received my brand new 5G OnePlus 8 T-Mobile edition!
The only reason I bought this phone is because I love modding and customizing.
I have unlocked developer setting but when I tried to unlock OEM bootloader it is grayed out...
Not sure what to do? Is there a working around to this issue?
Should I return it back
Please help thanks!!
You need to unlock network in order able to enable the "oem unlocking" toggle.
Otherwise try is llink to enable oem unlocking.

Question Has anyone faced an OEM unlocking error?

Pixel 6a OEM Unlocking Greyed Out STILL in August Update
Got an unlocked Pixel 6a delivered yesterday from the Google Store. Was planning to root it immediately upon setup but the "OEM Unlock" option in Dev settings is greyed out, saying "Connect to the internet or contact your carrier". I am connected...

Unlocked without a problem last week. I bought my phone from the google store. Did you get it some where else?
Just factory reset the device once and OEM unlocking becomes visible again. Just unlocked my device and flashed GrapheneOS without any issue.
