Question Insane battery drain with LOS20 - Google Pixel 7 Pro

So far I am loving this phone but the battery dies so quick. 46% in less than 12 hours with the screen mostly being off. Any good Roms out there withna focus on battery? Or am I doing something wrong

Lineageos for microg if it matters at all. 1440p/120hz

The latest Lineage is based off June firmware release, if I'm not mistaken and there's complaints of battery drain plaguing us Pixel users again. Myself included!
Hmm though you're using microg which may make a difference, but perhaps not!
Some Google Pixel phones have excessive battery drain after June Feature Drop
A few people also face connectivity issues following the update

LoS is one of my favorite roms to run on my non-flagship phones..Is stock bad on pixels?
I have great battery life on stock and now on beta android 14.I average 8-10 hours of sot..
Reason why i ask is i only hear negative things about custom roms on pixel 7 pros in which im running. What benefits does a custom rom have over pure stock pixel exclusive android?
Im curious..anyone running custom roms on pixels please chime in..

On the rom I use we have all the Pixel exclusive features and a few extras I enjoy. Mostly, volume button skip track, network traffic monitor, better QS tiles with some theming as well. There are other things, but I don't use them.

oh ok as long as the same features and timely updates i guess i see now why one would flash a custom rom.. I still wont i love stock.. I do want a custom kernel though..

Why u need to start a new thread?
We already have LOS20 ROM thread, where u can post anything related to it

True, I am on the May version of Evolution X with Kirisakura Kernel, and it's getting excellent battery life, and with customizations; it's well worth it. Plus the camera work as it should like stock firmware. I know there are some problems with the June version of Evolution X, so it seems it a firmware problem with the June firmware itself. Glad the update is put off, cause with stock, there not much of choice to put off an update, google just bothers with update notification, hated that even more with Samsung.

[Q] Battery life.

Okay, I just transitioned away from the Note 3 about two weeks ago.
I got S-Off and Root without issue. Currently running Viperone on my device. I love the ROM and features, so that's good.
My qualm is battery life. Without fail, I might be lucky to get 6 full hours on battery. Truth be told, I am a heavy user and seldom use Wifi since I have unlimited data. What have you guys done to improve your battery life on this device?
I have brightness turned WAY down and make sure I don't enable radios while they are not in use. Beyond that, I do use greenify and wakelock detector to make changes via Greenify accordingly. I even went so far as to put a darker theme and wallpaper on my device to reduce battery drain. Ideas?
Thanks to anyone with any shinfo.
1. That's abnormal times, I have yet to drain the device on 12 hours (with normal usage)
2. Greenify works fine, I use it too
3. Don't bother using a dark wallpaper, it doesn't save energy on this type of screen, only amoled screens.
4. Try a clean flash, I'm running clean ROM and my battery life has been fantastic, much better than my note 2

Good looking out on that, I totally forgot about the display not being AMOLED. I will try a clean flash and see what happens--perhaps I will run CleanROM for a week and see where it takes me. Thanks again!

Tried a clean flash and I am still running down quickly. I seriously hope this is not an issue with the equipment, but it's looking to be more and more true.

Hmm. Strange, but I still doubt it. Make sure GPS, bluetooth, and NFC are disabled when you aren't using them. Also try enabling art by first enabling developer options by going to settings, about phone, software information, more, and tapping build number repeatedly. Then back out to the root of the settings app and enter the newly found developer options. In there, click the box that says runtime, and select art. This will reboot and take quite some time to convert all the data. Not that xposed modules and a good portion of third party mods are not compatible with art. Sorry if you knew this info, but I didn't want to risk it. Art gives me significantly better battery life than dalvik.
Here is my battery usage today with art and power saver

Teamsuperluminal's CyanogenMod 13 vs Mokee 13 ROM, which do you prefer and why?

Hi guys I've been a long time wondering about this two roms but havent find any post about specifically this two. Has any one some idea on the key difference over TSL CM13 over MK13? Are there any? What can you tell about it ?!
Have you tried both and which one do you prefer and why.
Thanks
Right now there is a battery drain bug on TS that ruins the fun if you use a certain combination of google apps. I'm not talking about a gapps issue, you just install certain google apps from the play store & then the battery drain starts :S
Mokee is fine, but the last time I tried FreeDcam did not work on it which is also a dealbreaker for me.

Do you know which app combo is that?
I'm currently using Resurrection Remix, which I love, but the battery goes down pretty fast compared to the last couple of MIUI7 dev roms I had before, perhaps I have this combo which is causing the issue and I don't know it.

Did not figure out out. With RR I had 7 hours Sot the other day though. The drain on RR is very different and much less pronounced.
I found TS to have good battery life

Could you please tap on the graph and upload a screenshot from there so network signal, wifi running times, awake time etc are visible?
I'm currently on the latest RR on the efficiency profile as well and I don't like the battery life at all. I have LTE and WiFi permanently on and I get a maximum of 2ish hours of SoT, which I don't like at all. MIUI 7 used to be a lot better.

The most here with 3h+ battery life use the phone mainly with wifi. Thats no comparison with using it mostly in 3g/4g mode.

It is? I thought 3G uses more battery than 4G.

Xperia XZ Serious Overheating Issues

Hey guys in the past week my XZ has been having some serious overheating issues. Even just idling at the home screen it sits at around 40-45c. It seriously makes the phone unusable since when you open anything it just warms up quick and throttles hard. I was thinking it was the last patch that came out so I unlocked the bootloader and tried out a couple of roms like carbon rom which was buggy as hell and slimbit aosp. No improvement. Tried out eXistenZ 6.0 which is what im still on now and no improvement. I honestly have no clue whats going on if anyone can help me that'd be great. Do you guys think my battery could be needing replacement? The phone isint even a year old. I have also tried the FSCv2 mod and still no improvement.

Change habit that after clean flash instantly install everything that exists in the playstore , especially various CPU/memory/battery monitors.
Install one aplication at a time until you find the problem.
btw, carbonrom Is excellent rom like all the other AOSP ROMs for the XZ

I don't think its a certain app I installed since it just started happening out of nowhere after no new apps have been installed. Android battery menu doesn't show any excessive battery drain from apps either. Even after I did a clean flash it was getting super hot and throttled in the setup process.
*Edit* It actually got to 50c while simply replying to your reply in Chrome and lagged tf out of my keyboard. Literally about to throw this phone at a wall.
So I've undervolted the cpu and the phone still reached 53c after browsing Instagram for about a couple minutes. Im seriously loosing my **** at this point. Im seriously thinking that this phone needs a new battery or something even tho its less than a year old.
Update. Did a fresh install of stock rom using flashtool and it throttled during the setup process and still throttles with no apps just trying to send a text message or simply play a song using google play music. Seriously nobody has a clue what is going on? I literally have to have my phone next to a fan just to do anything on it.
I discovered that my battery is only at 38c usualy so I think its safe to say that my battery is okay. My cpu is constantly pinned at 45+ and I only get about 3-4 hours out of a full charge. Did google play services get an update or something? I have no apps installed in my phone still. I seriously need any help

Apparently, downgrading to Nougat is the only option for now
I turn on data saver and allow few apps like social media that really need a background usage and this helped me to save a lot of battery, i can lose only 3-4% overnight with this. try it and tell me if it works
Pls reply fast

Battery life on any phone is completely subjective and very much depends on the number of apps installed, the type of app and how you use your phone.
Anyone who says "this ROM's battery is great" or "that's ROM's battery is amazing", is only speaking in terms of how they use their phone and what settings are enabled.
The golden rule of battery life is quite simple, the less your phone has to do, the less battery is used its as simple as that.
For example you can have 2 devices running Nougat both with identical apps installed. One phone is used normally throughout the day with auto update apps, screen brightness on 50%, volume on low, Bluetooth on blah blah and its lasts 12 hrs.
The other device is just used for texts and calls, has auto update apps off, screen brightness at 30%, volume at 30% Bluetooth off and it lasts 16 hours.
With all these different variables it is nonsense to suggest one rom is better than another, battery life involves so many variables you simply cannot work it out with any degree of accuracy. Anyone who claims otherwise is tripping.
The slimmest barebones ROM's are lineage and other ASOP ROM's. If you want your battery to last longer start with these ROM's.

Question Anyone already debloated his Phone?

I asked myself, if debloating the P7P is worth to increase Smoothness and Battery Consumption and get rid off the Bloatware.
Any Advices?
I haven't disabled or uninstalled any of the apps that came with the phone and the phone is really smooth and I am getting really good battery. My overnight idle drain last night (9 hrs) was .45%/hr and it sits now at .53%/hr.

I wish my standby was that low. I'm at 1.1%/hr right now. Not in a super strong signal area though.
It's a Google phone. Not much to debloat, is there?

Nope. That's one reason people get Pixels
I uninstalled a couple of apps I will not use, and was only able to disable one or two more. But if you really need to you can use ADB, or a GUI app utilizing ADB to do the same. Remember that in most circumstances when you "delete" an app it is really not deleted but just made unavailable to user number 0 (zero) which is the main user = you!

Debloating a pixel for smoothness and better battery life? Ugh... This isn't the early 2000's dude. Placebo is awesome though.

Is this thread a prank? This is a Google phone, not a Samsung.
