Updated to OO13, now can't connect to PC - OnePlus 8T Questions & Answers

Hey guys,
As the title suggests I've updated my 8T from OO11 to OO13 and now my phone isn't recognised in my computer at all
Nothing comes up in device manager when I plug the phone into the computer
I've tried
- 3 different usb ports
- 2 different usb a to c cables
- USB debugging is enabled
- Installed oneplus drivers
- Installed google usb drivers
- Switching default USB configuration to MTP
- Using MTP, PTP, No data transfer
Still nothing is showing up in device manager
The phone charges when connects to the computer, it doesn't prompt me to allow USB debugging on my phone, despite revoking old usb debugging authorizations
I need to use adb commands to enable volte using the Shizuku method but I can't do that as the phone isn't recognised at all
If anyone could help that'd be great, otherwise I'll have to rollback to OO11 and use the pdc method
Thanks in advanced!

[Q] Phone not detected on ADB?

I am trying to connect my G3 to Android Studio, but no devices are listed by ADB or the Android Device Manager. I turned on Developer Options and enabled USB Debugging.
I tried:
Switching between PTP/MTP
Reinstalling drivers
Using another computer
Updating the SDK
Plugging in another USB port
Rebooting the computer and device
Is there a step I am missing?
Thanks
EDIT
Found a specific version of the driver that includes ADB. My account can't post outside links, but search LG G3 USB debugging Driver and go to the androidsoul site.
I installed the drivers from LG PC suite and adb worked fine for me
went through the same issue.
keep trying different USB cables. makes no sense, but solved my problem

Question Phone can't recognize USB or ADB

Hello all,
My OnePlus 7 Pro, can't recognize USB through my Windows PC, I don't get the prompt to connect to my Win PC.
Also I enabled ADB with Developter Options. I go to fastboot and also after adb devices and fastboot devices command, he can't recognize my device.
My OnePlus 5T is working with ADB and normal USB Win PC, tried two cables and laptops.
I did an run Android 10, now 11, beta etc nothing works! The phone can charge etc.
Please help. Reset etc tried also.
it is known issue ADB don't work on USB 3.0 ports
just goto BIOS > Advanced > USB > XHCI and change the setting to Disabled.
This will make the ports run in USB 2 mode, and fastboot and ADB works as usual.

Can't confirm this. At least latest version of ADB works at me with USB 3.x ports.
Nvm I didn't read the thread well if the PC can detect the other phone on ADB perhaps you can try "revoking USB debugging authorization" so it would ask for permission again

Android file transfer using a USB cable

Hi,
For some reason I can no longer transfer files from my Android device to my Linux PC using Android File Transfer.
I can list the device:
sudo adb devices -l
List of devices attached
????????? device usb:1-4 product:OnePlus5T model:ONEPLUS_A5010 device:OnePlus5T transport_id:2
Click to collapse
but Andorid File Transfer (version 4.2) wouldn't start with this phone. When I attach an older phone (Nexus 4) all is fine and I can transfer files without problem.
USB Debugging is enabled on the device.
On USB Preferences File Transfer is selected. Other options are USB tethering, MIDI, PTP, No data transfer.
Any help will be appreciated.
Update: problem solved - had to use root privilidges
Try another cable. Cliché but it's often the culprit. When you get the USB mode popup just cancel it and it'll decide on its own. Disable USB debugging as it doesn't need to be on. Try other USB ports, or the last one it was known working on. Failing that see if there's a proprietary software. Microsoft Your Phone Companion might help..

Connect to Pixel 3 via adb

Hi,
I cannot connect to my Pixel 3 via adb any more. I last tried when I installed the system a year or so ago, and was able to. I am using a linux machine, and have tried the following:
- Two different computers
- Two different linux distros
- Many, many (new, high-quality) USB cables, both USB-C and USB-A/B
- Developer mode enabled
- USB debugging enabled, authorizations revoked and re-enabled
- Setting default USB configuration to File Transfer/USB tethering/MIDI/PTP/No data transfer
- Airplane mode
- Connecting over a USB-2.0 hub
- Booting the device to recovery mode, enabling adb
Regardless, I have the same outcome. The phone charges but no other recognition of being plugged in is made. That is, the computer cannot see the phone in 'adb devices', 'lsusb' or 'dmesg'. The phone doesn't see the computer either, in that it doesn't bring up the USB notification.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated. I am running lineageos 18.1, and the reason I wanted to connect via adb is to upgrade to 19.1.
Thanks in advance!

What version of platform-tools (adb) are you running?
I installed LineageOS 18.1 on my Pixel 3 back in April of this year.
I grabbed the latest platform-tools (33.0.1) for Linux at the time and I am able to connect, transfer files, etc. with no issues.
Below is the version I have installed on my Linux desktop . Hope this helps.
$adb --version
Android Debug Bridge version 1.0.41
Version 33.0.1-8253317
Installed as ~/bin/platform-tools-r33.0.1/adb

Question Windows 11 won't detect Lenovo P11 TB-J1616F [solved]

Hi.
I'm having an issue where I can't get Windows 11 to recognize the TB-J1616F. It doesn't even appear in the Device Manager in the category Other Devices.
Steps I took to try and bypass the issue:
1. Enabled the USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking options in the tablet;
2. Tried another USB port, another cable;
3. Installed the Mediatek and ADB drivers I found in this page: https://gsmusbdriver.com/lenovo-tab-p11-plus-tb-j616x;
4. Changed the USB option from Transfer files to PTP in the tablet settings.
I'm trying to unlock the bootloader to install a GSI, but I'm stuck in the very first step. Any suggestions?
EDIT: turns out it was the USB cable. I tried with a third cable and it worked.
