Question Seeking Custom ROM Recommendations with Auto-Answer Feature for Calls - Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro

Is there a custom ROM available that includes an auto-answer feature for incoming calls? I've been using MIUI, but it doesn't always answer calls automatically despite enabling the 'always' option and the option for automatic answering with headphones. I recently tried Evolution X, which I like for its lightweight nature, but it doesn't have the auto-answer feature. Can anyone recommend a ROM with this functionality? Additionally, I'm curious to know if every Pixel ROM includes the auto-answer feature or if there are specific ROMs that offer it. I really need this feature, please help

Would you really need a custom ROM for that?
Can't you just use a different caller app that includes this feature?

i have already tried using different caller apps like MotoAnswer, but they have limitations such as restricting the number of calls that can be automatically answered in a day. (It is not enough for me because sometimes the call is closed by mistake. understand what I mean)

you should be looking for apps that don't have that limitation instead, this is not a ROM side thing I think. have you tried Truecaller Assistant?

[Q] Tasker App Detection w/ Custom ROM's?

I can confirm on Insert Coin, and on Virtuous (so I know it's not a 2.3.4 issue) that Tasker's app detection doesn't work....
can anyone confirm this... and if so, is it a big deal for you? Don't know why more people aren't saying anything.... mainly, I would love to be able to control display timeout if Im coming into a particular app, but now I just control it via orientation....
Any thoughts?
(Why everytime I make a thread, I get no replies...)
bump
I love you guys.
I've had this problem. Seems to disappear after a wipe and reflash. The problem does reappear randomly after flashing a different rom.
Don't take it so personally that people dont respond within hours of you posting. You ate assuming a large proportion of sensation users use Tasker and that they also use the app detection feature. I for one do not use that feature so have no idea if it works. Regardless, the best place to get app specific help is to contact the developer of the app rather than posting in a general forum.
I thought it was more popular... I contacted the developer and he told me that custom ROMs change the way Android works...

hide SMS and Contacts for Windows Phone 7

Hello Team,
I always been a WM user, and finally got a hold of a windows 7 phone, did the required mods. i noticed i couldnt find a program like magic call which used to screen un wanted numbers and sms this tool was usefull and purchased.
I'm assuming there isnt a program close enough or the same for windows 7 phone, overall i would like to bar and hide certain numbers and SMS's maybe emails ( i guess im pushing it).
i noticed an andriod app called vault does excatly what i require. im assuming im not the only person after this app?
is there such an app paid or free?
thank you for your time.
The public APIs don't allow it. Some OEMs (specifically, Samsung) have used their extra control over the ROM image (specifically, the ability to add their own drivers) to implement a call blocking function, and I believe some custom ROMs also incorporate this. Additionally, there are people looking into doing it using unofficial APIs in a way that it can be used on stock ROMs, but so far no such luck.
Thank you for the return message; even with modified ROMS this feature is not available?
IF so which rom would allow this feature? overall i have a HTC Trophy which has been loaded with a modded rom.
It may look like i'll have to get a hold of the Andriod phone for now.
thank you in advance.
I don't use custom ROMs; I hack the stock ROMs (and yes, call blocking is one feature I'm working on). Read the feature lists of the various custom ROMs, looking in particular for "call blocking" or "Samsung gen2 drivers".
I'll have a look thanks, but noticed people are having problems running the Samsung app.

[Q] Anyone try Eset with root and/or custom ROM?

I was thinking about purchasing it but was wondering what the experience is like with custom ROMs and/or just stock with root. Since it's an antivirus app and is kind of expensive, I thought it might be beneficial to find out if anyone has had issues with it in those circumstances and specifically with the Moto X. Do you have Eset and a custom ROM or a rooted phone?

Why would you even consider an antivirus app? Stick to officially recognized app distribution channels and there's nothing to worry about.

Actually, the primary reason I want it is for the ability to create whitelists for texting. I'm hoping it's pretty solid in that area.
Edit: I am open to suggestions for other options that provide text whitelisting by the way. My issue is I get a lot of spam from different numbers and need to block texts for everything except about 50 numbers.

Voice commands with locked screen

I have received a feature request for one of our Android apps. My company primarily focuses on PC, and we contract a lot of the Android work out.
We have a feature request that i am not sure if it is feasible or not.
Can we use/receive voice commands in our app without our app being "active", i.e. the screen is locked or another app is currently being used?
I was thinking about this and i feel like it may require root access for this type of functionality. Can someone please confirm this for me one way or the other?

Question How to change the audio output - bluetooth

Hello boys,
how do you change the audio output? On the previous phone (Samsung S22u), I had "-> sound to phone" in the volume control when I was connected to bluetooth in the car, hearing aids... There is nothing like that on the Pixel. (with the YTmusic widget, I have the option to transfer the sound to the pixel, but that's not enough for me)
I'll explain.
I am connected via bluetooth to the car, music is playing via YouTube Music from the car speakers. I get an audio message from WhatsApp (which I want to listen to on Pixel) and the only way to do it is to turn off bluetooth and pause the music. On the S22, I was able to transfer the sound from WhatsApp from the car to the mobile phone.
Please solve my only pain with this phone
If I'm not mistaken, WhatsApp has it set to auto come out the earpiece if you raise it to your ear, correct? You could do that if you want to be the only one to hear it in your car, but other than that, not much of a difference if it comes out your car speakers or the loudspeaker of your phone, right?
I am also having this issue where the apps which has not actually implemented a specific feature or api of google then there is no option to switch between various output devices.
One option is to use a custom rom which has this support or else use a magisk module called LesserAudioSwitch (i didn't like this personally).
I have requested if they can include this feature in AOSPMods as well. Not sure this can be implemented in AOSPMods, but yes this is one most important feature missing for me in A13.
In my perspective if more than one audio source is connected to the phone there should be switch in quick settings or on the side volume menu(like in VoltageOS custom rom, pls see the screenshot i posted in the link) to switch between audio outputs. Currently the "Play On" feature is not implemented in many apps. Android should have this feature IMO.

I want the sound from YTmusic to continue playing in the car, and the sound from, for example, WhatsApp to come from the phone.

Thank you, you understood exactly what I needed.
I will try the magisk module.
Lesser AudioSwitch doesn't work for me. I don't want another ROM, is there another way?
please, is there really no way to solve it?
Is this really only bothering me?
Playing music in the car via Bluetooth and receiving an audio message on WhatsApp is a classic use case. I'm really unhappy that I have to turn off bluetooth - lose connection with the car and the watch in order to listen to the message.
:-(
