I have done everything I could including taking the steps to fix the fact that I never get the Theme option on Google maps on my device. Cleared cache, data, uninstalled updates, rebooted, updated to the latest versions everytime and still no Theme option. Is this just my bad luck or is this a thing going on for the S22 Ultra series?
It is not an S22 Ultra issue. I am having no problems toggling between dark and light modes. Mine is set to "same as device."
Check your "Navigation settings." About halfway(ish) down under, "Map display" you can change, "Color scheme." You should have a choice of, "Automatic, Day, Night." Automatic will change the theme according to what it senses while in navigation mode. To include switching to dark mode while in a tunnel.

Hi, so, in Google Maps, clicking in your user, then under "settings", you don't have the option to change the Theme? No option in that menu called "theme"?

Ok. A few more questions:
What version of Maps are you running?
What version of Google Play services are you running?
What S22 Ultra model do you have (i.e. SM-908U, SM-908U1, SM-908B, etc.)?
If not the U or U1 model, which country are you in or using it in?
The first two questions matter. I'm not sure how much the second two matter (if at all).
I am running v11.81.1502.

It may take a couple reboots.

Hmmm... Since you are on an S22 Ultra (U model), I'm assuming you are not rooted; which shouldn't make a difference. I am also assuming you are on the latest OS/Firmware that your carrier pushed (I'm on Verizon so it would be S908USQS2CWE1). I don't know what release version AT&T and T-Mobile are on.
Did you do any debloating? If so, it is possible that you accidentally de-bloated something that Maps needs. That is a wild ass guess; I may be reaching.
I don't mean to sound sarcastic. You managed to win the game of "Stump the Chump." Because I am stumped.
It's been like this since I got the device fresh out the box a year ago. Update after update of all things still no results so you and I both are stumped.
Just out of curiosity what is your Google Maps version saying when you look on the Play Store or when you go into the apps info?
This is what I'm showing:

Hi guys,
I'm trying to figure out how to synchronize the time on the Note 10.1. The clock is off by two minutes, and there's no obvious option to update/sync the time.
Vanilla android had the Automatic date and time option available, but it's missing in Touchwiz.
Help??

Hi,
I'm using ClockSync from PlayStore.
You need root to actualy be able to sync system time on Android.

Yep, clocksync is he way to go, if you don't want to root, clocksync has a rootless mode but it is plus or minus 30 secs...

What do you see for time settings? Is it not present, or just grayed out?
As the Canadian JB OTA has started rolling out you might see it but I believe that the menu from above is for the N8000 3G model. It gets the time updated from the carrier network though I use it on another phone I have that has no sim too.
Again though it has the capacity to put a sim in it.

True, but I swear IIRC the WiFi-only N8013 I'd first tried out to evaluate the Note 10.1 with also had an "Update Time Over Network" option (as it's possible to set the time via "NTP", which runs over any network connection type).
I Just stumbled on this thread whilst researching this same issue.
It does appear that the stock N8010 (wifi) 4.1.2 lacks the automatic date/time option.
This is a real pain, as my Note 10.1 looses about 1/2s a day and this option is available in stock android for wifi tabs.
I have 10.1 Wifi and 10.1 3g here and Samsung did not put this feature in 10.1 Wifi. strange and stupid.

It's worse than that, they must have actually removed it, as it's present in stock android for wifi only tabs.
And as I found out this morning, it also means it doesn't adjust for daylight savings automatically.

It will adjust to Daylight Saving if you change the timezone to be London, Dublin (assuming you are in the UK) rather than GMT (which mine had seemed to default to).
Hello there! I recently acquired a 3rd generation Moto G. However I've run into a few issues. My tab switcher appears to be stuck in "accessibility" mode; a weird tab switcher that uses the old holo UI. Here is a picture of the problem:

"lightbox_next": "Next",

}
I checked chrome://flags and the accessibility tab switcher setting is not even on. Toggling on/off doesn't seem to change anything.
I also have no animations for opening the drop down menu, or opening the tab switcher. Pressing any of the UI buttons simply instantly opens the menu, as if I had battery saver on (which I don't). I've tried the dev and beta versions of chrome, and they also exhibit the same problems. Clearing cache, reverting to the factory version of chrome, etc... all don't seem to fix the issue.
I am running Android 5.1.1, with chrome 44.0.2403.133.The phone is the 1gb RAM/8gb storage version. I did some other research and found someone who had the same problem a few years ago, but on a Samsung phone:

I'm really surprised there are no replies to this thread. We can't be the only two people with "Merge tabs and apps" turned off.
I'd like to know if this issue is present just on the 1GB models or all 2015 models?
Running an XT1540 here with the latest 5.1.1 firmware from Bell.

Thank you so much for posting - I was beginning to think that I was the only one in the world with a bugged phone!
I actually purchased the phone at Best Buy in the states, but I am using it in Canada. Do you think that has anything to do with the issue?

I highly doubt it has anything to do with *where* you operate the phone.
It's likely a firmware or Chrome specific setting for 1GB devices running Lollipop.
It's good to know you purchased yours in the US and have this issue. I can rule out it being specific to Bell issued firmware.

Yes, that's what I thought as well. The accessibility tab switcher was originally meant for low memory devices, so I'm assuming something got triggered in chrome and flagged our Moto Gs as low ram offenders.
Kinda funny, given how chrome runs just fine on more budget orientated devices like the Moto E, but gives up on the newest Moto G!
i have noticed the same problem the 1st day i have used chrome.. i just installed firefox .. as i dont use chrome which lacks in addons
I went ahead and opened a ticket with Chromium: https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=525745
It would be nice to verify if 2GB users are also affected.
The issue should likely be raised with Motorola/Lenovo as there's another bug ticket that may be related:

I can confirm that my 2GB Moto G3 16GB is NOT affected.
hope your issue gets solved.:good:
I remember someone said something about Moto G 1GB model having a low ram parameter enabled in build.prop. Chrome may be using this to conserve memory. I have 2gb and don't have this issue.
v8s10 said:

Alright, thanks for the heads up. Will be sure to check this when I finally get around to rooting.
The app turns the screen white, cranks up the brightness to 100%, and keeps it this way until the user presses the back or home button. The display of the Gear S2 can actually get pretty bright, producing enough light to see everything in a 4 x 4 meter room. Here is the source code:
Code:
<html><body style="background-color: #ffffff;">
<script>
tizen.power.request("SCREEN", "SCREEN_NORMAL"); // won't work properly without this line
tizen.power.setScreenBrightness(1);
setInterval(function(){tizen.power.request("SCREEN", "SCREEN_NORMAL");}, 10000);
window.addEventListener('tizenhwkey', function(){tizen.application.getCurrentApplication().exit();});

Off topic:
This is my most popular app by far (2,610 downloads since Mar 29, 2016). Surprisingly, only 7 people rated the app. I was wondering why I don't see the comments on the app store page, and it turned out they only show comments that were posted by users who live in the same country (I live in Canada and no one from Canada rated the app, hence no rating). That's why if you live anywhere but USA and Germany most apps in the app store will have no rating, which is stupid :silly:
install hangs
hi - I've tried to install your app on my gear s2 classic but it hangs at the 100% mark. I know some installs can take a bit of time - the longest I waited was 10 minutes though which I think should be sufficient? Can you lend any advice to what the issue might be? thanks! :fingers-crossed:
I would factory reset the watch (there is a quick reset option), because the problem is not in the app/apps. 7000 people installed the app so far and no one complained.
If you are not installing from the app store, make sure you have this line in the config.xml:
Code:
<tizen:privilege name="http://tizen.org/privilege/power"/>
Finally a flashlight app that stays on if you move your arm. (auto wake). love it, will rate you. #Belgium
Great app, thanks a lot for sharing
I have just one little issue with it: leaving the app will not reset screen brightness to the original value

Thank you! The next update (coming some time next week) will fix this issue
The update has been submitted to the app store and is awaiting approval (usually 2 days). Here is the updated code:
Code:

<script>
tizen.power.request('SCREEN', 'SCREEN_NORMAL');
originalBrightness = tizen.power.getScreenBrightness();
function terminate(){tizen.power.setScreenBrightness(originalBrightness); tizen.application.getCurrentApplication().exit();}
tizen.power.setScreenBrightness(1);
setInterval(function(){tizen.power.request('SCREEN', 'SCREEN_NORMAL');tizen.power.setScreenBrightness(1);}, 10000);
document.addEventListener('tizenhwkey', terminate);
document.addEventListener('visibilitychange', terminate);
</script>

How to find in app store
Hi
Sounds like a useful app. I search for "white light" in apps store but only find one for phones.
How can I find the app for the s3 gear?
On the watch I found an app called torch. Is that it?
Hi Eveman,
I have not released a version for smartphones, so the apps you found must have been developed by someone else.
If searching under GEAR tab in Samsung Galaxy Apps store brings no results, I can only suggest trying it again in a few days. Once I tried searching for my Always-On apps and it brought no results, tried again later - and it worked.
Please let me know if that helped.
I have the app, thanks works great. Do you know the shortcut I would use in GWD to make it a button (like com.samsung.weather is for weather)?
Hi andrewtac, thank you very much for your feedback! Try this and let me know how it works: 55V5m8QGTw.WhiteLight

I cannot find this app in the Play store for Android anywhere. Can you put a link up so I can use this flashlight app. I love this app and my new pixel 7 pro didn't copy it. I'd like to have this app on my phone because it works and that's all it needs to do. You must be confusing it with some other app, because this app was developed only for smartwatches running Tizen OS (that is, Samsung watches released before 2021). I might develop a Wear OS version of the app some time in the future, though there is already a built-in "flashlight" app that works pretty well.

Now that 7.0 is public, I'm curious about everyone's favorite additions. This may shed some light on features that may otherwise go unnoticed. My personal favorite by far; The U.S. keyboard finally has sub-symbols! The U.S. models had this at launch, but the Exynos models, for whatever reason, never had it, and required root to access it.
So what feature are you most grateful for?
