Hi everyone,
i have a problem with my rooted Samsung Phone, since i replace floating_feature.xml in /system/etc about an another file (that is a modifying of the original and haves a size about 22 576) I can edit this file but I can't pass the size of 24 576 bytes. Whereas before I could greatly exceed this size.
How to fix this problem ?
Thank you.
What model Samsung do you have?
We have specific sections for specific devices, and your question is better asked there. Once you tell us what device you have, we will move this thread to the appropriate section.

hello everyone.I recently rooted my Gtab2.I wanted to change the default bootanimation. So i flashed the bootanimation4u mod from here itself. It worked but i am getting the stock android bootanim rather than the custom.Should i flash the bootanimation.zip also? pls help
evil-god said:
if you have a rooted device you can look in /system/media with a root filemanager, there must be a bootanimation.zip, replace that with your favourite bootanimation(look for same resolution!) and set the permissions like on the picture.
should work on every device.

Greetings,
Just a friendly reminder swearing is not allowed on XDA in any form.
Thanks,

Hi,
Asking for help in the thread you mentioned is the best option.
Good luck!
I accidentally deleted the app "SU" (= superuser). Now my samsung galaxy s 1901 won't start up anymore. It can't past / it stays on the Ehndroix II screen. My laptop also doesn't recognize it anymore. Anybody knows how can get my phone working again?
Hi,
I can't find an S1901 Samsung device anywhere. Can you please verify the model number. Does it have another name too? Like Galaxy S5, Note.... Anything like that?
Thanks!

Thanks for your reply Darth. The model name is Galaxy S plus en and the number is GT-I9001. The start-up screen also shows the following information: 1. Cyanogen mod and 2. powered by Diablo's kernel.
i hope this is the right information for you.
Well, uninstalling SuperSU shouldn't... Normally... Cause the device to not boot. I can't find a similar thread on this issue, so I'd ask the experts who own your device, here...
>*Samsung Galaxy S I9000*>*Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting*>*Galaxy S Plus I9001 Q&A
Good luck!
Also, if you can, just flashing the rom again should fix it. Or flash stock firmware with Odin. ?

Thanks for that information!
Here is your device section,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s-i9000
Guides and tutorials for just about everything are in the General and Q&A sections.
Again, if you need further help, use the thread I linked above. ?
Be sure to only use files for your model only. I9001.
Thanks for your help!!

There seems to be no current root method for your device and carrier. I would suggest asking your question in the thread linked above to get some better exposure.
First, Thank you in advance for your help, and sorry for my English.
My device has a small community, and I would like to help the (few) developer who own it.
1) I would like to make WiFi working on cm11, but I don't know from where to start. Can I just put .lib files in system/lib from another device or is it more complicated ?
2) Same question for camera in cm7.2
3) Can lib files be copied to system/lib or we have to use a flashable zip ?
And how to answer to this thread anonymously ?
Thank you very much
Sir,
About what device are we talking about? Give us more details.
Thanks

It is for the Galaxy s Wifi 3.6 (YP-GS1) : http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-player
The Galaxy player is the US name.
Thank you very much for your answer
Hi,
The best place for this question is in the dedicated thread for CM11 from here:
[Q&A] [CM11][3.6][4.4.3][2.6.35][A3] CyanogenMod 11 - Samsung Galaxy Player 3.6
Good luck with your device.
Could some body upload oeminfo_hw/normal - from L02/04 or 14. Thate models we are looking for , i think it will help to port update on emui 5 on l09 devices +
So if any1 is able to provide it please do it :good: thanks the path should be: dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/oeminfo
And phone should be with hw/normal vendor. We are trying change vendor from hw/eu to hw/normal . Or may be some1 inows how to change it .
Its needed to make patch to be able change vendor through TWRP.
Is this what you're looking for?
Is this what you need?
I found the hw_oem folder and just copied everything it contained. It apparently contains L14, L04 and Al10T?
If you need anything else, that I can provide, let me know.
Sorry for my question but why would someone do this?. We will get nougat too,so what's the point ?

I saw your updated name, and followed the path. I found oeminfo, but it seems to be a 0kb file. Maybe It's not being mounted right?
