This is regarding the Snapdragon Note 20 Ultra, USA version.
I got a Note 20 Ultra Verizone edition where I flashed an unlocked U1 firmware. I suppose the required software information can be seen from this screenshot:

The issue now is, as I have put an Indian Operator (Airtel) SIM in the mobile, calling and messaging facilities are working flawlessly, but I cannot turn on mobile data. The WiFi works fine, but no mobile data. The SIM Information looks like this:
Moreover, whenever I try to open the SIM Manager, these four dots keeps loading and the screen just stays there:
I haven't taken a screenshot, but in the next screen the Data Roaming Option cannot be turned on also, I was just looking and turning on/off here and there.....

I see the VZW (Verizone, right?) is still showing in the Service Provider Software info..... Have I f it up somewhere during the flashing? Should the VZW still be there after flashing the U1 version?

Yes, it is Verizon and it is not supposed to be there. You should see INS for Indian firmware/ SIM.

The problem is they released the Exynos version in India! I suppose I cannot flash Exynos version on Snapdragon, right? Also, the Indian rom had dual sim while this one is i physical SIM+ E-Sim.
Ok, little update.... I flashed the phone again with a VZW Android 13 firmware, and now the mobile data with my Airtel SIM is working flawlessly, even with 5G!!! But guess, as I'm not with a VZW SIM, the set will not receive any update now!

I've a OP 7 Pro Sprint Variant, Model: GM1925. When I was in stock ROM, the latest build was 10.0.7.GM25CC. Few weeks earlier, I followed the guide here and was able to successfully convert it to EU firmware. The reason behind this conversion is to get the latest OOS updates asap. But it seems the updates for 5G phones are lagging far behind. My phone is running on 10.0.11.GM27BA currently.
Further, I tried to convert my phone to International variant by following the guide here but failed. More specifically, it stopped after 'Param preload'.
Now, I badly want to convert it to International variant. I don't mind if losing 5G would enable dual sim functionality on my phone.
Is there any way?

Late on the replies but converting to international is impossible due to different partitions. Dual sim WILL NEVER WORK because we don't have the config files for dsds on the X50 modem. Because of the 5G, updates are behind and will be for basically the phone's EOL. Custom roms are a grey area as modem needs porting and rotation needs fixing, and Android 11 custom roms won't work (due to no modem functionality)

Hi, I bought note 10 month ago and it had the same kinda issue, mine was AT&T but unlocked at the same time idk how, anyway It had no updates what so ever After some search I downloaded the N970U1 Firmware and my phone was N970U(ATT)weirdly it worked and everything is ok, I don't know if this was wrong but everything on the device is working perfectly.

Supposedly the U and U1 firmware can write to either device, but I have a Flip 3 and (F711U) and it only allows U firmware.

There was a switch button named enable 5G when Android 11, and I turned off 5G because 5G drained my battery.
After upgrade to Android 12, there is no switch button, and preferred network type is just 4G.
I have tried reset network settings, but it does not work.
How do I find 5G back?

I tried the RETAIL and RETBR and both had no 5g either.
I see that RETEU came out, and about to try that. But if that causes same issue then wouldn't flash it

I updated OTA, this phone was bought from Amazon Germany, so the software channel is RETEU.
But I can enable 5G by *#*#4636*#*# and then select phone information -> set preferred network type.
I couldn't enable it that way. I've flashed something else for now. As of now none should update to A12.

I just flashed RETEU version on my RETGB phone, locked bootloader. I use MotoFlash pro. Everything works perfect including 5G. (RETEU firmware is identical to RETGB so RETGB users can upgrade early)
Regardless, 5g not working for me in A12 stock rom. Now it seems to work for some people, maybe it's in different region or network. There are reports of it not working in G50 and Edge 20 as well after A12 update.
5g does work fine in A12 custom ROMs though.
I posted this to Motorola forums, and someone asked me for a system bug report, now they are working on it.
Hope they resolve it soon.

This is the first time I write here, I bought a phone from someone on the internet a week ago as it is unlocked but it is locked on Verizon network and I am in another country in the Middle East and I spoke with Verizon and Samsung Care in the US they all told me that it is not stolen but requires data to unlock The first buyer, and I don't know her, is there a solution to change the firmware to another country and open it? How do I bypass it as soon as possible? I tried to install a ROM for Europe, which is SM-S908E, but the installation did not work, it says fail sha256 is invalid, and another version was installed through Odin
SM-S908U but nothing changed, is there a solution?

Flash the U1 firmware, hoping the phone was purchased from Verizon more than 60 days ago. You can't install other regions firmware in USA model, only U1 can be installed.

I was using Samsung Firmware Downloader to try and download the latest firmware for my S22 Ultra; the SM-S908E/DS. When Samsung Firmware Downloader returned this error, I wondered why it wasn't working.I used the same firmware CSC as my phone (XSA) but apparently the SM-S908E/DS doesn't seem to have a match?

I went through the files on some of the sites - specfically samfrew, sfirmware and samfw. None of these sites yielded the firmware for the SM-S908E/DS - Dual SIM version, only having firmware for the SM-S908E.
It seems like Samsung doesn't show these, or the Dual SIM firmware is considered a subset of the Single SIM version. There are other phones where the Dual SIM version is a different model; like the Galaxy S5 Mini:
SM-G800H (Galaxy S5 Mini Dual SIM)
SM-G800F (Galaxy S5 Mini International)
I unfortunately have no idea what will happen if a firmware for the SM-S908E is used in the SM-S908E/DS. Probably best to not attempt it.
However, I do appreciate the help you tried to give me.

Thank you for the offer but this is no longer necessary. I have managed to find a solution for my problem.
Apparently, the firmware downloader does not take the "/DS" and the firmware will work for both the normnal and "/DS" devices.
