[help]dead pixel app for omnia

anyone have this app?? especially for check our device(PPC) if there is a dead pixel on lCD

firstly please post questions into the Q&A section. this helps us see your questions
secondly theres an lcd tester built in to the devivce type into the dialer *#0*#
you should see a yellow 3 x 4 grid the three top ones display the screen in its native colours red green and blue tap each one of these to see the screen display press the optical sensor to go back

if im using black wallpaper as today background, i saw 1 dot pixel with bright ray
if im using another colorfull wallpaper/blue/red etc, i dont see the 1dot pixel
is that called dead pixel??

yes brotha... but i only see 1 bright dot pixel if only using black wallpaper... did u think that is called dead pixel?

ok then well i suggest using the warranty if you still have it
if not, and a replacement will cost too much, then try to avoid it as it doesnt effect the usability of the device. ive heard this is an ongoing issue with the i900
best thing is to ignore it

ok, my phone still covered a waranty, but the problem i bought this phone from singapore and noow im on indonesia.. the waranty doesnt effect

ITS A SIMPLE FLASHLIGHT APP BUT IT WILL HELP YOU SEE DEAD PIXELS.

Screen timeout on calls.

Has anyone discovered a way to keep the screen on longer while on a call?
Is there any way to change this? If I missed another post on this I apologize. Thanks

One of the best 99 cent app I've ever purchased. Support the Dev, he just lost his job, and the app kicks ass.

Yeah, Power Manager has the option to a max of 2 minutes, but it has never worked for me, it always times out waaay earlier.

i use shake awake free app that causes your phone to turn back on if you move it a certain amount, you can ajust the sensitivity to howevver much you like. mine basically stays on if the phone moves at all while i am on a call

Awesome I will try these. Thanks for the responses.

Power manager doesn't change the timeout for the screen during calls. The only way to change that currently is using the shake program mentioned above. I use both programs and love both of them so when power manager doesn't help with the screen timeout during a call use it for all the other great benefits and select monitor so it can apply the different profiles (which you can customize) for all the situations.

I tired these apps they both seem to work pretty well, any ideas on how this could be done without using an app?

First you need to install Android sensor box app for find what is the driver name of proximity sensor
open ASB app and click on proximity sensor and click on as this photo
then you can find what is the driver name of proximity sensor

Hardware Disable app *root need*
after install it hit menu button and change location "/" and rescan
after scan you can view list of drivers
now be carefully
find the name of proximity driver name and tick
finally reboot phone
after start up Hardware dis app ask YES/NO
click yes

so i post my method

omg thanks so much!! worked on samsung galaxy s2 t989. seems a lot of ppl have prob with the proximity sensor not working

[MOD] volume boost

Here is a more detailed guide on boosting volume for all aspects of your gear/2/neo ,

ive tested on gear2 and gear and re wrote the guide
first you need to download and extract this
make sure you have hidden files viewable in windows

can some one make a video on youtube for doing the volume boost mod for the gear2 please coz i have done it lots of times i have even set it to 140 and its still not working it says its connected to root mode and set to RW it lets me go though all the process but wen i go to my gear 2 the volume is not louder please help me

You're doing it wrong bud....114 is the max volume setting for gear 2, if you use a higher value like 120 or 140 as you did it won't work....try with 114 (is really louder) or another value like 110 or 112 ....up to you, hope it helps

but i have put it back to 114 and it still dont sound louder it not even started to distort but wen i install ringtones and stuff that works can you make me a video please or tell me the CMD commands please

Change screen contrast

Hi, I just bought it and I'm seeing that the screen contrast is too high, at least for me it looks hard. Do you know a way to change it? I searched in all the settings and I didn't find nothing, I could active sRGB mode but no solution.

I am not aware of any such setting in this mobile. The best you could do is fiddle with the brightness. May be you could search in the developer options settings.

I did it but I find nothing, only, like I said, the sRGB toggle. At least my uncle who is the owner didn't say nothing, so at the moment is fine hahaha.

Is there a screen cast or screen mirroring option available in LG Q6.. I use Portronics Pandora HDMI Dongle.. it works with all other mobiles as they have Cast Screen option.. but I could not find it in Q6.. pl help with the solution
