Question Does anyone know how to root oneplus 9 Android 13.1? - OnePlus 9

Alguém sabe como fazer root no oneplus 9 Android 13.1?

First of all, please write in English. This is an English-only forum.
You can root the latest 13.1 firmware the same way you root others. I assume you already have the bootloader unlocked, proper drivers installed on your PC, and basic know-how of fastboot/adb commands. Here is the process:
You need to get the boot.img of your current firmware. You can extract it through MSM Tool's Read Back feature. In case you don't know about MSM, I have attached the boot.img for latest OOS13.1 firmware LE2115_13.1.0.500(EX01). Download and extract zip file and you will have boot.img. Copy this boot.img to your phone. Next you need to download/install Magisk v26.1 on your phone. Open the app, click Install and select that boot.img. Magisk will patch that boot.img and create a new patched_boot.img in your phone's Download folder. Copy that patched_boot.img to your PC. Reboot your phone to bootloader mode. Run this command to temporarily boot the patched_boot.img:
fastboot boot <your_patched_boot.img>
Note that this command is to boot it temporarily. It DOES NOT flash it. Ok, so once your phone boots up, open Magisk app again, click Install and select Direct Install. Now Magisk will root your current firmware permanently.
By this method of temporary booting and then rooting with Magisk's Direct Install method, Magisk will backup your original boot.img. So whenever there is a new software update, you can go to Magisk, select Uninstall, choose Restore Images, and Magisk will revert your original stock boot.img from it's backup. Then you can proceed with system update. Otherwise, without restoring original boot.img, the system update will fail because of patched_boot.img.

Here is the zip attachment. Make sure to extract it.

Thank you friend

Flash token.
Enable unlock bl in dev options.
Install Magisk inside Andoid.
Congrats you did it.

You can use MSM Tool to extract the Boot.img file, this is how most of use get our hands on the image files. I have provided a guide below on how to do this.

[GUIDE] P20 Pro Android 8.x How to Root

For those who would like to root, but not install any version of TWRP, here is a guide I put together. Hopefully it's easy enough and specific enough to understand:
1. Be sure to download the firmware you are CURRENTLY on to avoid any possible issues. Find it under SETTINGS, SYSTEM, ABOUT PHONE, BUILD NUMBER. The region is in parenthesis and the firmware version is the last three digits.
2. Extract the RAMDISK.img file using this Huawei Updater Extractor: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433454
3. Obtain a previously patched RAMDISK file to get an initial Magisk install on your phone first. There is one on XDA floating around named CLT-29-MAGISK.img.
4. Boot into ***FASTBOOT and then get to a CMD window with your ADB tools and use the command "fastboot flash ramdisk CLT-29-MAGSIK.img"
5. Reboot the phone and download Magisk Manager 5.5.5. There may be other versions that work, but this version worked every time for me.
6. After installing Magisk Manager 5.5.5, install the next two upgraded versions while INSIDE Magisk Manager until you get to 7.1.x.x. To avoid any issues with Magisk Manager, don't exit out of the application until you install 7.1.x.x.
7. Click INSTALL on the first option next to the word MAGISK in Magisk Manager to patch your freshly extracted RAMDISK.img file from Step 2. Magisk Manager does not allow for direct installation of the Magisk zip file any longer so you need to patch a stock RAMDISK file to be flashed in Step 9.
8. Copy that RAMDISK.img file to your PC and place the file in your ADB tools folder. It would be good to save a copy of this file for later if you need to re-root. By doing so, you can avoid steps 1-3.
9. Boot into FASTBOOT and then get to a CMD window with your ADB tools and use the command "fastboot flash ramdisk patched_boot.img"
10. Reboot and you'll have root!
***FASTBOOT
To boot into FASTBOOT, turn off phone, hold down the VOLUME DOWN button for a few seconds, and while still holding it plug your charging cable into the phone. The screen should turn on with a white background indicating you are in FASTBOOT mode.
Hi good guid, I flashed version 9.0.0.252 and had a lot fc. back to 215, everything works, any idea what the latest European working version clt-lgrp2-ovs 9.0.0??

[Guide] Root with Magisk, easy method

Hello,
I have a Galaxy On5 Pro in my home and was running AdHell till it could. Now that Samsung has stopped providing keys, an alternate way of disabling stock bloats and adblock was needed.
I tried the simplest way of rooting this phone, should work with any phone on On5 series.
1. Download the latest Firmware for your Phone from Updato or in other thread. Make sure it matches what you already have on your phone. Open archive and extract boot.img from that.
2. In Developer Options, enable OEM Unlocking.
3. Install Magisk Manager (as you normally do any apk).
4. Open Magisk Manager and click install, then select patch boot image. Select the boot.img you extratced in step 1 and select format to be 'tar'. Copy this patched image in Computer.
5. Boot in Odin and flash the patched boot image. Reboot the device.
You are rooted with Magisk.
If anyone is interested, I can provide more information if needed.
Thank you.
Works on SM-S550TL (TracFone)?

I've installed magisk without twrp, just follow guide online. No need specific software because 7zip can extract boot.img easily from update file. After that install magisk manager app on phone, select install - patch own boot file, copy modified file to pc again, reboot into bootloader, flash modified boot.img and reboot.

Hi. Did you do these passages also on MIUI 12? Because I installed Magisk app, but it showed Ramdisk: no, and now I don't know if I should install it in recovery partition or not
there's twrp and orangefox that can be used for cc9 meitu/vela. Unlock bootloader, enable adb, flash custom recovery by fastboot. After that use custom recovery to install magisk. I'm sorry I don't use cc9 anymore since last weekend because miui12 notification and permission is too aggressive, have to restart app everytime so that can get contact info.

Guide to Install GApps and Magisk on Custom ROMs for Nokia 7.2

While I was trying to install GApps for Lineage OS 18.1 on my Nokia 7.2, I always lost my wi-fi. This is apparently due to flashing TWRP as boot image, which replaces the stock boot messing with wi-fi as the boot image has thee kernel.
Although, I did figure it out, it took me three days to get a proper solution from multiple sources. Here, I will explain how to install Lineage OS 18.1 on Nokia 7.2 with Gapps and Magisk. This can be applied to other ROMs as well. I am assuming you are on stock firmware.
Requirements:
Any custom ROM without GApps
vbmeta file
vendor image
Gapps zip file of your choice
platform-tools
twrp image
magisk file
payload dumper tool
Preperation:
The wifi stops working because we change the boot image. To prevent this, we must flash the boot image of the rom after we are done with our work with TWRP
For this, we ,ust get the boot image for the ROM. As this is not available readily, we must extract it from the ROM zip
Install latest python on your pc
Get the payload dumper tool from the link given below. Extract the contents into the root directory of python. It should be in C:\Users\USER-NAME\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python <version number>
Extract the ROM zip into any folder. Copy the payload.bin file and paste it in the folder where you put the payload dumper tool
Open a command prompt in the python root folder and type
Code:
python -m pip install -r requirements.txt
Then type
Code:
python payload_dumper.py payload.bin
After it finishes, go to the folder named Output inside the python folder. Here there will be a file named boot.bin. Rename this as lineage_boot.bin and paste it into the platform tools folder
Installation:
Download the twrp image, rename it to twrp.img and place it in the platform-tools folder. Connect your phone to the computer, switch on usb debugging on your phone.
Open command shell in the platform-tools folder and type
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
. In the bootloader, type
Code:
fastboot flash boot_b twrp.img
.
Next, type
Code:
fastboot --set-active=b
and then reboot to recovery using volume buttons and selecting using power button
In TWRP swipe to allow modifications. Copy your ROM and vendor image files to your SD Card. Now, click wipe, format data and type yes. Go back to home screen and the press install. Select your ROM file and install it. Sometimes it is required to flash vendor image. In that case flash that too. This step is required for Lineage OS 18.1
Now on the twrp home screen, tap on reboot. At the bottom, the current slot should be B. Tap slot A. THis changes the active slot to A. Now go back and tap on bootloader, this should boot you to the bootloader.
Take your vbmeta.img file and place it in the platform tools folder. Now, while in the bootloader mode, type,
Code:
fastboot flash vbmeta_a --disable-verity --disable-verification vbmeta.img
Next type
Code:
fastboot flash boot_a twrp.img
and boot to recovery using volume buttons
Now, press install in TWRP and select install and install the GApps file and reboot to bootloader
Next, in the bootloader type
Code:
fastboot flash boot_a lineage_boot.img
. Now start your phone. You should have lineage os with GApps
Installing Magisk:
Copy the lineage_boot.img into your phone. Download magisk.apk file from the link given below
Install the magisk app and open it. If it asks for additional setup select no. Beside the magisk option select install. Under options, if Recovery Mode is selected, deselect it and click next.
Now click on Select and patch a file under method. Select the lineage_boot.img
The patched image will be saved in downloads folder. Rename this file to lineage_magisk.img and copy it to the platform tools folder on your computer. Reboot your phone to bootloader mode
On your computer in the command window opened in the platform tools folder, type,
Code:
fastboot flash boot lineage_magisk.img
Reboot and you will have a rooted lineage os with GApps
Files:
Lineage OS 18.1 and vbmeta.img
TWRP
vendor
NikGApps
Payload Dumper tool
platform tools
Magisk

Hi @Ujwal2000 thanks for the guide.
I am using the stock android 10 rom and magisk patch method.
This also leads to non working wifi and magisk does not recognize that its installed.

i do not need gapps nor twrp I guess I only wanted to root the stock rom with magisk.

Magisk & Lineage = No wifi

Goodmorning everyone. I have a problem with magisk and lineageos 18.1
I have a xiaomi mi mix 2 unlocked
Premise: I've never had any problems with magisk and lineage until now.
I installed magisk scrupulously following the official instructions and using both the boot.img patch system and the direct installation via recovery (adb sideload & lineage recovery)
In both cases magisk appears as not installed when looking from magisk manager and the wifi stops working (the phone connects to the various networks I have tried but reveals them as without internet.)
clearing cache does nothing
resetting network connections does nothing
Updating to the latest version of the radio firmware does nothing
restore boot.img OR reinstall lineage corrects the problem
In all cases I don't get root ...
Honestly, everything is beyond my understanding .. can you help me?

I used both the method I'm aware of
1) I install magisk manager, extract the boot.img from lineage zip, upload it to the phone, patch it with magisk manager (operation ends fine), pass the modified version back to the pc reboot the phone in recovery and install the new boot with adb (installation ends correctly).
2) I rename the magisk app as .zip and then I install it through recovery
The result is the same.
In the past (with lineage 17) i always used the second method and I lived happy and with root for years.

Since you have TWRP, you don't need the patched boot.img.
The Magisk Manager app has the root binaries built in now, all you should need to do is a Magisk Manager flashable zip.
Read this:
The Magisk Manager APK can now be flashed from within TWRP
Magisk is now distributed as part of the Manager APK, meaning you no longer need to flash a separate ZIP file from a custom recovery.

You said that you converted the apk into a flashable zip. I think you should be able to find a MagiskManager.zip that is prepackaged for you to download and flash.
Also, if you use the patched boot.img method, you should rename the patched boot.img to "boot.img", then place the boot.img in your fastboot folder on PC. Then right click inside the fastboot folder and choose the option to open a cmd terminal, then boot your device into fastboot mode, connect your device to PC, type the following command:
fastboot devices(press enter)
If it returns a serial number, you are connected. Next, type the following command:
fastboot flash boot boot.img(press enter)
This should flash the patched boot.img correctly. Then reboot the device to system and try installing the Magisk Manager apk file from your internal storage instead of flashing it as a zip in recovery. If that doesn't work, try flashing the apk as a zip in recovery, wipe cache and dalvik cache after flashing the zip(DO NOT FACTORY RESET OR FORMAT ANYTHING), then reboot to system and see if it works correctly.

Hi Droidriven, thank you for your answers. Perhaps, synthesizing my steps too much, I gave the impression of not being particularly capable in computer science (you even tell me to press "enter" after commands ...). Well, let's say it's not my case.
All steps are performed correctly.
all steps end without errors.
No matter what I do, in the end Magisk appears as n / a, I don't have root, and the data connection doesn't work. Small addition about the latter aspect: when rebooting the wifi connection works for a variable time between 10 and 20 seconds, after which the network appears as without internet (or intranet) but the phone remains connected.
At the reboot, history repeats itself
Restoring the original boot everything returns to normal.
